So...what are your thoughts on it.
For me....it looks really good, but I doubt it can top Movie 5.

I actually didn't like movie 5. It was okay but Movie 4 was better in my opinon. Once my DVD for Movie 6 gets shipped...(Tis backordered)...I can see it. Movie 7 looks good though.

Movie 6 is translated somewhere, but it was poorly done, so I would wait for Kaizoku-Fansubs or some other decent subgroup do it. Movie 6 uses the animation done in the Digimon Movies 1 and 2 if you ever seen them and the whole plot is just weird, yet interesting.

Balkongo did the sixth, and it wasn't that bad.

Movie 7 review
Note: contains some mild spoilers. Beware.
This was the premiere of Movie 7 at the Toei movie theater in Ginza. I went to the show after the opening one with the seiyu and all that 'cause I didn't win a spot. Too bad. The line was around the block and probably 85-90% of the people were female. Woohoo! Chicks....with taste. Yeah..so anyway, they all go in and at that time the dudes dressed up as the strawhats walk in from another door. I'm pretty sure they were the same ones from Jump Festa last Nov. The Robin costume looks great. So I was close to the front of the line for the next showing and...it happens every year at the premier: There's some crazy guy who talks loudly to himself and generally freaks people out. This one guy was dressed in black plastic pants and jacket carrying around what looked like a 25 year old Sony cassette walkman. When we got into the lobby to wait he proceeded to read from the program out loud, read the seating signs, food signs....any sign, out loud. And I mean loud. Then he'd pester the staff.
M7CG (M7 Crazy Guy) - "What time does the seating begin?"
Staff - " Hmm. In about 20 minutes."
M7CG - "20 minutes?"
Staff - "Yes. 20 minutes."
M7CG - "Ahh. 20 minutes. So, we can go in, in about 20 minutes?"
Staff - "......um..Yes."
M7CG - ".................20 minutes?????"
Staff - "Right."
M7CG - ".....I love One Piece. I read the manga for years and TV and...."
You get the idea. Anyway this dude was bugging the hell out of me and I was really hoping that the crazy guy from the Movie 6 premiere would show up to battle this guy, just to keep him busy or something. And lo and behold M6CG charges in talking up a storm....to himself....loudly. I was like, "Oh yeah. Let's get it on!" The thing is, M6CG only talks to himself and draws kanji in the air. Now M7CG does that too, but he also talks to real people....loudly. Anyway, after about 10 minutes of these lunatics criss-crossing the lobby, they finally meet up and started talking. Did you ever see Time Cop? You can't occupy the same space as your future or past selves or you implode. A similar thing happened here. They were the same side of the same coin. Well, M6CG couldn't handle it and bolted downstairs like his life depended on it. Score 1, M7CG. Damn. To add insult to injury, M6CG later cut in front of me in line. Bastard. After he failed to take out M7CG! I would have said something but he was busy writing invisible stuff on the wall with wis finger. Yeah. Best not to interrupt, eh?
Ok. On to the jugs fest...I mean movie. OMG, I gotta tell ya...alright, later on that. They showed the Jump commercial from last year right before the movie. It shows Luffy and Chopper jumping(get it??? huh?huh??) from mountain peak to mountain peak while a skyfish tries to eat them. They end up with a ton of gold at the end, Chopper jumping up and down throwing gold coins in the air. It'a a great ad. How hard would it be to put it on DVD fer cryin' out loud?
The movie. The Opening title has gone back to the generic style as opposed to the REAL movie-like opening in Movie 6. That was a let down right off the bat. No nuance in THIS flick. The animation is very good though. I really liked the character design. I looks the closest to the manga art than any other movie, imo. The action and movements of the characters are good. On the downside, a lot of the backgrounds suck. But I'm probably being to picky.
Goro from SMAP does a very good job as the voice of the main villain. Oh, and as mentioned in the music thread yesterday, Chopper's voice is done by the sub, Ikura Kazue, not Ohtani Ikue. Bummer. I still can't get used to her voice. But then, Chopper does almost nothing in this movie anyway. No action for the little guy, that's for sure. Zoro gets some cool moves, Sanji gets to fight a little, Nami and Usopp do pretty much nothing too. Robin was very useful though.
The story almost doesn't matter. This old lady tells them there's gold on this island and of course there's an ulterior motive. Her genius son is there creating an ultimate plan, with different little mechs he built to keep people busy through the story. I wont say the ending. It's kind of interesting. It's a much lighter story than the past.....heck, all of the movies. The bad guy's punishment at the end is mild at best **SPOILER he gets spanked by his mother**. That does make it kind of unique. And in no way do you ever feel the crew is seriously threatened. Each strawhat member dispatches his opponent with ease. Pretty safe stuff. Kind of like a TV special. There is a lot of action though, particularly in the last third of the film and it's done well.
Right. Enough with all that. Let's talk about the breastival of bouncing boobs. So, after the title, you see Nami on deck, and she moves. Her cans perform some serious secondary animation, bouncing up and down. So I was like, "Huh. They've never done that before. Isn't that nice?" Then the next scene they bounce again, big time. And the next scene and the next scene...and so on. I mean this was just blatant. Gratuitous would be an understatement. I'm pretty sure she blinked one time and they started bobbing up and down. About the first third to half of the movie her huge udders are jiggling everywhere at every opportunity. Now me, I got no problem with that, in principle. In fact it's fantastic. Hey, I'm a guy. But it's REALLY distracting. Interestingly, Robin's hooters didn't do that. But they sure were enormous and the director insisted on giving them the spotlight at every turn. They're just .....big...and in your face. Just....wow....I mean...so..yeah.
SO. The movie was so-so to pretty good. The melon factor helped, I'm sure. Music was quite good. I'm looking forward to hearing it in the Enias Lobby arc. Hope they pic the best tracks. They usually do. Oh, and Pandaman sighting. Yay.
Compared to other movies? Better than M3 and slightly better than M5, mostly because of the great character design and....well...the knockers. M2, 4, and 6 are waaaay ahead of it, imho. M6 just raised the bar too high as far as storytelling, humor and directing. This one falls flat in comparison, which is ironic, since it has a hell of a lot more shading.
Only eight months till the Movie 8 trailer. ;)
**Program scans and pics coming soon**

*jiggle jiggle*
:nosebleed
That is pretty hot. I mean, they don't even move at all in the episodes, so why not make them extra jiggly for the movie? We deserve it! :nod
Anyway, the film looks quite entertaining, not sure sure about the theme track yet though..
EDIT: Is the manga spoiler.. .. Luffy's Gear 2 by any chance?
