story:
Vandels are powerfull beings that terrorise the humans on earth in order to gain stars which make them more powerfull.
The fighting power against those Vandels are Vandel Busters.
Busters fight with weapons they carry on their journy every buster has his own weapon to his choise. But a buster can also use other powers called
Tengeki. Tengeki is a type of elemental power
so busters have powers like tengeki of flame, ice, lightning, water etc.

When a buster masters his tengeki skills he will get his ultimate weapon: his Saiga.
The Saiga is a busters soul in the form of a weapon.
A buster will only get his Saiga through hard training and mastering the Tengeki skills.

Beet is an energetic little kid who wants to become a top Buster just like his big, all time hero: Zenon, the best Buster in the world.
Zenon is the leader of best buster group out there.
One day Beet almost loses his life in his first fight with an actual vandel.
He gets saved by Zenon's group, but it costs them their lives. They tell Beet a secret they've kept for years and From that day forward Beet swears to end the Dark Era that the vandels have brought on earth..

Just finished reading my copy of Vol. 6 of the manga. Very interesting.
According to the next volume preview, Grineed's going to self-destruct in it. Heh. I figured that he was going to self-destruct sometime earlier durring this issue and not durring Vol. 7, particularly after he destroyed his experiments. Oh well. I had the right idea, but just the wrong time-frame. :amuse

P.S. Can anyone tell me if the anime is this far yet (and if so, what episode would that be)? At the end of this issue, Beet hit Grineed in his true form with the Boltic Axe.

And yes, I must agree with you, uncanny_sama. Grineed in his true form is bad-ass (and thanks to your avatar, I get to see what he looks like in the anime, which I was wondering about).

the anime is currently at epidsode 41
beet and co just arrived at grunides castle to find out he went beserk..
then beet sets of grunide to go burst in his true from

they fight and next ep, beet will pull out his boltic axe
so i dont think the anime will be as far as vol 6 for like 5 episodes i think

episode 41 is the first epidsode where you get a good look at grunide

you know any good places? Yes. Kissu is Viz's name for Kiss. I just assumed they added a u on to the end of it since it's pronounced that way, but they left Beet's name alone.

And the only place I know you can get the manga at is #lurk (http://gotlurk.net/) (http://gotlurk.net/%29), but they only have the first few chapters scanlated (on the Mirrors bot). Other than that, you have to buy it.

Well, no matter what, Kiss does have to take punishment for what he did. It doesn't really matter that he defeated him; it's the fact that Kiss worked for Grunide and could possibly work for another Vandel in the future (or already is).

In the manga, after she finishes off Grunide, Milfa even acknowledge that. She believed that Kiss had repented for his crimes and promised to start a new life. But because she's a Broad Buster and Kiss did commit a crime, it's just something she has to do.

So as far as I've read in the manga (up to Volume 8):
Kiss is going to receive his punishment after a hearing at the Association of Busters's Headquarters in Gransista. So far, I have not seen Kiss's trial or his punishment.

And on another note the Beet anime really is the king of filler. =/ This episode too was filler. There was no warning poster with Kiss on it and Beet and Poala didn't run around the town with Kiss, like they apparently will next episode. After she finished off Grunide, Milfa just said what was going to happen. So, I have to agree in a way. The anime is just making too big of a deal with this Kiss thing. =/

An interesting episode, but I just want to see Beet the Vandel Buster Excelion, seen as I think that starts around where I am in the manga, based on the filler and the BTVB anime only having like 52 episodes.

Of course there wouldn't be any sign of him. Beltorze isn't just one to randomly appear. And they were and still are taking Kissu to Gransista. Beltorze isn't really on their minds right now.

So, I'm pretty confident that they didn't defeat Beltorze yet. Unless they plan on doing it in 2 episodes (the Episode 50 preview showed no signs of them fighting Beltorze).

And they only beat Grineed by destroying his weak-spot, his horn. If they didn't do that, then they wouldn't have been able to beat him.

That happens in volume 9 (that guy appearing). What happened was...
The Vandel name Rodina teleports Beet away from the Vandel Garonewt (who was attacking him and trying to kill Beet) and into a forest, so they can decide the order in which the Seven-Star Vandels can attack Beet, as ordered by Shagie (this will make more sense once you read Volume 8). The Burning Lance and Excellion Blade, both of which Beet used in his fight with Garonewt, were teleported with him. Once Beet gets his bearings, he sees this guy (who he thinks is Zenon at first), who calls himself for the Winged Knight (he doesn't say this to Beet, but that's what he calls himself later in the volume).

After this the two talk a bit. The Winged Knight basically talks about how Beet isn't ready to be a Vandel Buster and should just go home. Beet disagrees, and eventually, The Winged Knight grabs the Burning Lance and attacks Beet. Beet defended with the Excellion Blade. During the fight and for a bit after it (and for a bit before it, too) they talk about the Saigas, as in, what they are and how they are mean to be used. The Winged Knight surprises Beet with what he does with the Burning Lance (you'll have to read it to find out what. I don't want to give everything away. :p), and then Beet catches on.

A bit after that, the fight ends, and Beet tells The Winged Knight what he thinks a Saiga is, and The Winged Knight says Beet got the answer right.

Next, Beet falls asleep (due to it being his day of rest). The Winged Knight takes Beet back to Poala and Kissu in Gransista. After that, he dissapears.
