Well theres one thing I can gather from reading is god is not perfect and is infact very flawed and a super egotistic elistist bastard who feels the need to control everything. Adam and Eve is a symbolic story if you ask me. Christianity interprets the story as the instance when Adam and Eve fall from grace, which leaves the rest of the unborn human race laden with sin. Gd did indeed punish Adam and Eve, but original sin is a purely Christian idea that has a really weak basis.

I don't go to church because of all of these reasons. I am a christian, I suppose I have been christened, but I believe in evolution. I never go to church, in fact I only ever go if someone dies or gets married. Take what you want to believe from the Bible ignore the rest, thats my advise.
