Anime Music Videos

I am going to make an anime music video but I hate windows movie maker because it sucks. What suggestions are good for making an AMV. I need a program that can cut out parts take out all the sound in the original cut part and that it can add music to it. Thanks in advance. :sasufire

Adobe Premiere is the best, but it's rather expensive.
