Fillers will start on 01/17 from what I hear.

I don't know how long it will last though. My guess it is atleast 6 months. They are way to close to the manga at this point. If they were to go straight to the next arc, it would last 10 episodes at most.

The Bug Ninja one with Hinata was good cause it showed some kind of development for Hinata plus was funny. But curry of life and this ghost one is $h!t. In any case I hope the bleach fillers will be interesting, not just some made up 'missions' for the death god Ichigo to kill some hollows. >.>

Yep. After episode 62, Bleach will for one long two week break and then will start bleach fillers all about the human side for awhile until the manga is far enough to continue.

Well that's only an estimation. Each episode takes up about 3 manga chapters. The soul society arc ends at about chapter 180. Right now they are on 208......... That's 28 chapters.

1 month until the SS Arc ends = 4-5 more chapters
6 months of fillers = 25-30 chapters

So that's about 20 episodes worth of material. By the time it gets to episode 20 (20/3) they will have material for 6 more episodes.

So that's 26 episodes in total..........one season basically

I hope you all realize they'd have to show at least half a year of fillers inbetween each arc for this to work. Each canon anime episode eats up far too much manga chapters. In fact, the anime could completely surpass where the manga is now if you give it 11/12 weeks without any interruptions.

If these fillers aren't good, we're looking at even worse situation than Naruto.

There is a filler rumored to happen after this arc ends. Right now there is no updates on the number of episodes Bleach has. At this point I believe the number has still stayed at 70. No change yet. But will there be bleach fillers. I believe so.

Thats because you're ignoring the fact that without Naruto for this long(months?), people would've forgotten about it anyways. No matter what, it would've reached this point. At least its given some people something to watch for the time being.

You have to wait until they end to actually give any fair measure of how much they "killed the anime". If people stop watching when it gets back on track, then yes, they've killed the anime, if the same people just start watching it, then no, nothing's changed, because they would've done something else in that time. Its not like not having fillers would cause people to wait loyally on their hands and feet waiting 6 months for the episodes to start again. So fillers are still either good or neutral, and if its neutral, at least the animators are still getting paid instead of being told to go find another job for 6 months and then expect them to come back.

I'd rather have to spend my time re-watching Bleach or trying out a new anime then suffer a hell like that of the Naruto fillers. I mean I'm sure the first couple will be funny or decent, but in the end they'll just be comming up with things way out there just to put something on the air that week.

I totally agree. When I was blinded by my Narutard, I used to think that fillers was awesome. As time passes, I realised how bad they were. I'm so ashamed to watch it with my friends now because the anime became so predictable. There were some good fillers like the Sasame Arc, Bikouchu Arc, Konohamaru, and Gai/Lee Imposters. The rest were crap... just when I thought they can't get worse than Mizuki, they dumped Stones Village Arc. Who ever heard of a ninja using "nail no jutsu" from Home Depot? :D

Bleach filler was pretty annoying. They need to get rid of Don Konji... his first 2 appearances was good. Then it got really annoying and repetitive. I'm hoping that they would take a break instead of pumping out fillers. Take a break between the weeks or something instead of a whole 6 months. Bleach is too awesome to be ruined by crappy fillers.

Yes the 70 episodes was confirmed by Bleachforums.com. As far as if they will stop at 70 or not is not updated as of yet. While everyone has their own opinion on how the Naruto fillers have been going (I personally have been up and down with it). Do expect fillers as the arc is pretty much coming to an end and despite my calculations. It will end before episode 70 comes.

Well, based off those episode titles, it seems they'll be making up new villains for the main characters to fight with.

Perhaps they'll have it so that Aizen has already created some strong hybrids with hou gyoku?

And with fillers, we never see our favorites characters. Do you think Byakuya or Kenpachi or any of the SS shinigami would appear during the fillers? Probably, but we won't see them nearly as much.

The problem with the Naruto fillers is basically that... they suck, with the exception of an episode every here and there (I personally don't mind the one right now about the ghost hunting).

If Bleach can stay away from making such crappy fillers (and instead, ones that are more entertaining), I wouldn't mind watching them.

Though of course, nothing beats progression of the normal/original storyline. I think I'd get tired of fillers after 3 months or so.
