Hmm... interesting episode. I'm sure that most of the pAnime watchers would find this episode to be the most informative one from the last 15 or so. I'm thinking Aizen at this point is rigged :\ he's too good! And that ending was pretty sick! AIZEN!

Haven't seen the subbed yet but watched the raw. Thought it was a good episode, seems like Aizen explains quite a bit in this episode so things should be clear. The ending with Komamaru yelling "Aizen!!!!" was just great.

This episode was crazy. Aizen is insanley powerful.. but possibly much too powerful. Although I am glad to see the return of the rest of the captains, they're absence was becomminga annoying, specifically Jyuushiro and Shunsui. The only problem I'm seeing here is that Aizen might be taking the place of Byakuya in terms of Ichigo's rival. (IE: Ichigo getting his ass handed to him again)

I would like to see the head of the captain(sorry forgot his name) to go up aganist Aizen. It seems to me that is the only person that might be able to exactly keep up with him

You know... I was wondering why Rukia said she couldn't recover her power... but what exactly Aizen was talking about that she had?... Was it the ability to surpass the power of all Shinigami and Hollows?

And I Always wondered why no one ever attacked while someone was explaining something! And then it happend!! LOL But I wanted to happen like.... you know.... where the guy gets killed because he didn't notice the guy attacking while he was explaining.... But this was a to be continued... I mean I dont read the manga or anything but this guy stopped Ichigo with one finger.... so I'm almost sure Aizen wont be wounded...

The best part about that episode is when Ichigo's attack towards Aizen failed and the music stopped. I was dying! Funniest shyt I have seen so far on Bleach. I just wished they did a record scratch instead of just plain stopping it.

Well, seeing as Shunsui and Ukitake are referred to as Yamamoto's pupils and that they were the first Shinigami after him to become captains of the Gotei 13, I'd rank them just a bit over Byakuya. This is all speculation based on reputation, however.

And yeah, Yama-jii might stand a chance against Aizen since his Shikai engulfs the whole area in flames. If he uses Bankai though, which based on his Shikai, must be really destructive, it might be strongly possible. o.o

But then, Aizen must have Bankai too...X_x

Ichigo will be the one kicking Aizen's ass. You know how Aizen was telling them that Rukia has the secret for a shinigami to become a hollow, and for a hollow to become a shinigami? Well, I'm guessing, in fact, I'm almost sure, that he doesn't know what's inside Ichigo.

Then, just when it looks like Ichigo is down for the count, Hollow Ichigo comes out to play with Aizen, and the real fun begins =)

Mayuri's not interested, Byakuya is injured, and Unohana is busy healing Hitsugaya. That's another four which may or may not intervene. The ones who'll definitely be coming though are Soi Fong, Komamura has already shown up, Kenpachi will probably want a fight, and Yamamoto, Shunshui, and Ukitake are probably on their way. So there'll be six captains who could show up pretty quickly to fight against Aizen and crew.

About what was inside of Rukia, I'm guessing it was like a soul or a konpakukaizo, sort of like Kon. It was probably melding a hollow into a shinigami.

Not only did Aizen stop Bankai Ichigo WHILE Number One was playing, the action caused Number One to STOP playing..

This is shouldnt happen because when the heroes theme song is played, he is invicible yet..Aizen denies those soundtrack with his FINGERS!

Fact of the matter is, 'ABSOLUTE HYPNOSIS, theres no beating it', you didnt see Aizen release his shikai because his shikai doesnt have any fancy flashing smoking light effects, take the Unahana incident they didnt see it get released yet it was. Ichigo was affected as was Renji by Aizens shikai, Aizen is strong also so it give him as said before a cheap advantage. Also note back to the Kenpachi fight where it was said if the 2 fighters are not at the same level then the weaker one cannot harm the stronger one , one bit. Ichigo just came from a battle with Byukuya still wounded being held up by Ganju or chado cant remember which so he was in no shape to fight what so ever, he was operating on shere will power when he blocked and even when he attacked Aizen, didnt you even notice how slow he was, you could actually follow him effortlessly. Even though if he was full health and not fatigued it may of ended the same (well not Aizen escaping completely unscaved and blocking ichigo with one finger) due to Aizens cheat, you got to also realise his innner hollow would of taken over if it got too serious.

No, Aizen needs to initiate the ceremony first. People that see the ceremony are aware that Aizen released his sword (only they misinterpreted the ability). Only after Aizen used the ceremony can he use tha ability without the subject being aware (releasing the sword without using the name).

Komamura, Unohana, likely all the captains have already seen the ceremony a long time ago and that's why Aizen can use his ability without any of the subjects knowing.

Yes, Aizen did make all those hollows that we've seen in the anime. The hollows that killed Hisagi's classmates (where Renji, Kira and Hinamori saved his bacon) and the one that killed Kaien.

The music part is the best. When Ichigo went all the way towards Aizen, the music played so hard and made me feel like Ichigo is going to cut him, but suddenly there's Aizen's finger and the music stops.

Hair color was interesting... and I also noticed they didn't show Mayuri's ears(well where the ears are supposed to be...) in the anime as it was covered by his hair the entire time.

Really, Urahara is much more suited to fighting Aizen. Ichigo's only relation with him is what he is, Aizen's plans greatly involve Urahara a lot more. Then you can also go the whole "repenting" cliche, say Urahara wants to make up for what he did so he must defeat Aizen himself and what not.

Regarding a Shikai release,

Those who know they're soul slayers name do NOT need to call out it's name for it to be released. Same goes for those who have mastered Bankai. Therefore, he can release it, and you wouldn't know the difference ^_^.

Also, if you notice the points of attack, when Ichigo and Renji went down, they were BOTH to there backs. Which is impossible, due to where Aizen is standig right? Maybe he was fast? Pfft, heck no!

Aizen states that the SECOND you see his Zanpokto, you fall under it's spell. Therefore, in his little hypnosis world, he can make himself out to be a god, when really, he's just sneaking behind them, and back stabbing them :p.

Now, as far as Aizen's explanation goes, it's SOO obvious that the Soul Urahara put in Rukia is not in her anymore :p. The Transfer was probably made when She gave Ichigo his Death God powers initially ^_^. And, there is no way he COULD know it was in him, since only one person has seen it, and that is Byakuya....

Oh, and we all know why Aizen didn't cut Ichigo in half....

Replying to an earlier post

The two guys fighting aganist Yama were NOT the first two Shinigami to become Captains after Yama-jii ever. They were the first two to become captains from the school Yama founded. Meaning that, Yama could have had 12 other random people as captains, then he made his school and those two graduated passed the tests to become/replace captains.

I dont see how Fox guy got there so fast :p I mean, last time we heard about him he was supposedly rushing to the aid of Yama...but he's like no where near him it seems. From the preview of 61 tho, it looks like he'll get owned =[

Totally agree on this part this is what I was feeling as well. So why doesn't Aizen know about this yet? Still though it doesn't explain why Urahara would send Ichigo into this battle risking losing the soul.

Guess we have to wait and see if Ichigo learns to harness the Hollows powers and control it.

But Rukia didn't recieve the Gigai containing the Hougyoku till after she gave the Deathgod powers to Ichigo.

My theory-
It was never in Rukia in the first place. That it was given to Ichigo as a child by some unstated reasons. It would explain why he had a very high spirit sense and all the spirit energy he amits that even as the power to affect everyone around him that have a little spirital engergy(i.e his sisters, Orihime, Chad, ghosts, etc.). Why he had the power to become a Death god, and has a Hollow spirit with him.

I have several thoughts on why Urahara sent Ichigo to save Rukia. My main one being he wanted to see how far the Hougyoku would develop with Ichigo and you can't really do that fighting Hollows, so he sent him to Soul Society.

This sentence implies that Aizen discovered that the hougyoku was in rukia WHILE she was missing, not because.

Damn, I really wish Aizen's sword attack was deep like it was in the manga!!Though there was something going on about it being a mistake on Kubo's part, since Ichigo technically shouldn't had been alive[a literally large chunk was gashed out]. Maybe it was too disturbing of a scene to have had it in the anime?

Aizen is all about hypnosis. Just looking at his sword will cause someone to be instantly caught in his total hypnosis. Basically, compare Aizen's fighting style to a Genjutsu user. As long as he can jack up his enemies perception of what's going on, he doesn't have to exert a ton of energy to defeat them.

Personally, I think Aizen has a power on the level of Yamaji, but he also has a technique that just owns everyone. As for the blocking Ichigo's sword with his finger, in my humble opinion, I think he was using hypnosis on Ichigo. He probably actually blocked with his sword, but made it all look like he was using his finger. I know he was using hypnosis on Renji because he did the same thing to him that he did to Toshiro. He just disappeared and reappeared behind him, then boom, blood spirts out everywhere.

Aizen's power is most effective because it completely hides his movement! You can be looking at him, standing several meters away, then suddenly he's right behind you. Not super speed, he was just standing behind you the whole time, just didn't let you see it that way. Aizen's technique is just sick! Hands down, his Shikai owns all! How can you fight someone you can't even touch, right?

The anime made it seem lik shyunpou though (when Aizen disappeared).

That's what I thought too. After Rukia gave her power to Ichigo, that's when Urahara showed up with his, "Can I interest you with a gigai?" moment.

Someone also mentioned that only Byakuya has seen Hollow Ichigo. Well, that's partially true. Ichigo came out of his training with Urahara wearing the mask, if I'm not mistaken. Yoruichi also saw the mask, and it appears she knew what it was, and why it was with Ichigo.

ok there is one thing that is inconsistent in this episode. before ichigo goes to save rukia and renji, we see that zangetsu is back into shikai. when he saves them, zangetsu is ban kai. now, HOW was ichigo able to mask that massive reiatsu when he goes ban kai?

I think this was a mistake on the anime's part. I think in the manga, he was still in Bankai form.

ok there is one thing that is inconsistent in this episode. before ichigo goes to save rukia and renji, we see that zangetsu is back into shikai. when he saves them, zangetsu is ban kai. now, HOW was ichigo able to mask that massive reiatsu when he goes ban kai?
I'm pretty sure its a first time thing possibly. (And even some of that "Omg he's so powerful!" parts were fillers I believe.)

Lets' not forget Ichigo just got his ass beat like 5 minutes ago. Ichigo 5 minutes ago couldn't even stand up, and 2 seconds before he showed up he needed support to walk. So Ichigo was probably not even 100%. Ichigo also used up most of his reiatsu against byakuya already neways.

Also very interesting thing about Uhara, damn he probably could've been the strongest person in soul society, and is already the most genius amonghts his peers.

Totally agree on this part this is what I was feeling as well. So why doesn't Aizen know about this yet? Still though it doesn't explain why Urahara would send Ichigo into this battle risking losing the soul.

Guess we have to wait and see if Ichigo learns to harness the Hollows powers and control it.

I don't think Ichigo has that power hidden in him, Uruhara would know about it and would not have send him away to save Rukia carrying the thing that he tries to hide so much (unless Uruhara would think that Ichigo is strong enough to beat up Aizen, but that's a chance he would not take if you ask me)...

I wonder if Yoruichi is under the hypnosis of Aizen. She wasn't there when Aizen thought up this evil plan. And I would like to know the reason why she left with Uruhara, I don't really see a reason for her to leave. Maybe we will get to know more about that in the next episode.

All in all a great episode this was, though the apearance of Aizen wasn't really a surprise to me (the reason for that could either be me being spoiled or the discussion about Aizens death I'm not sure) Looking forward to the next one and I hope to see Yamamoto heading towards Aizen. Would like to see hime fight vs Aizen

This is shouldnt happen because when the heroes theme song is played, he is invicible yet..Aizen denies those soundtrack with his FINGERS!

Yeah I think Aizen used his hypnosis a lot, I mean, he stopped Ichigo's sword with his fingers, but what do you know, maybe in reality he used his sword, he can do anythign - when Ichigo believes he stands and talks, Aizen can backstab him or paint his hair pink :D

He may have lost his powers but I don't think that you can loose such an ability like sensing reiatsu, and if the reiatsu is powerfull enough and if you are standing near it you will feel it anyway even if you are human.

Mm interesting idea, I wasn't thinking in that direction. I'm more hoping that Yoruichi has a important role in the whole plot that has been revealed by Aizen.
And I just remember that Uruhara and Yoruichi are family, so I don't think that they are lovers...

I don't think Ishida lost his powers at all. Originally, after taking off his glove while fighting Mayuri, he should have lost everything, but he was captured and had some kind of chains put on that sealed his spirit force. (Ep. 45 18:23)
