Spiral Out

"Spiral Out" is a mainly action/adventure-themed futurefic that will be thirteen chapters eventually (it's eight chapters currently).

It's set in an alternate continuity that splits off from the canon timeline in two specific ways: 1) Gaara stays dead and 2) Sasuke gains too much power too fast and manages to kill Itachi without ever needing to turn to his teammates for help. Everything else follows from there.

Rating: PG-13 for violence and some mature themes
Primary Characters: Sakura, Shikamaru, Hinata
Other Characters Involved: Kakashi, Tsunade, Tenten, Kiba, Shino, Hanabi, Sasuke, Naruto, Kankurou, Ino
Pairings: Not a key aspect of the story, but primary pairings are Sasuke/Sakura, Naruto/Hinata, Temari/Shikamaru, and Ino/Shikamaru.
