Well, we've yet to see River in action. For some reason he owns in battle simulations, but Satomi has reasons unknown to doubt his true skills. But...
...by ep. 08 River officially announces that he's joined Team Sledge Mama, and in ep. 10--the next to air in Japan--River and Takeshi finally get their chance to battle on the track.

Pretty good. Maybe you could make one with the characters? The racing is addictive and fun, but the characters are what makes the show.

So far only Satomi, Velshtein and Edgeraid. I'll try Skylark, Sledge Mama and Black Egg later. I'm not particularly fond of any of them, but the Edgeraid one is the worst. That stupid blond guy is too tall and their background is really bad! It was a bitch trying to fit everyone in the frame. The mech button way so much easier. At least mechs don't have faces to mess up. :sweatdrop

Bjorn = teh h0tness. If Takeshi doesn't stop being annoying, River doesn't stop being emo, and Cunningham doesn't stop being a jerk, Bjorn will most definitely win the title of Nibi Nekomata's favorite IGPX bishie. Hands down. The others look nice enough, but Bjorn pwnz everyone with snarky personality. His dog is sort of a bitch, though. No pun intended....

Oh geez, River can be so obsessive and emo sometimes. I mean, yeah, not being able to race sucks, but geez, get over it. Don't need to pitch such a fit about it. I used to think Takeshi annoying, but for some reason he doesn't bug me so much anymore. He's become somewhat squishy cute to me somehow. Cunningham's a hottie too, but he was such a jerk-off to Takeshi, acting all buddy-buddy then stabbing him in the back with his cocky attitude. >.<* So yeah, Bjorn wins the top IGPX bishi award. XD

Yeah, just made it recently. Beeyatch to make, since I know squat about Adobe ImageReady, but it came out well enough, so I'm proud.

Didn't catch tonight's ep. Screw. I've already watched it in Japanese raw, but I still keep up with the dub because it's cool like that. And I know very little Japanese, so I need the dub to understand it. XD

Oh gosh, I wish I could be the FC's official artist, but sadly my real artistic skills are lacking. I found that on a Japanese website, and just reposted it in this here FC. If by some crazy chance I try my hand at IGPX fanart and it turns out decent, I'll post then. But for now, I'll just post other people's fanart when I come across them.

So finally caught yesterday's ep. It was all right, not the best, but I liked that we're seeing some of the secondary character's stories, Mark's in this case. There's something up with that guy, and I think we'll get some of it next week. (If I knew good Japanese I'd already know, though, puun...) Also next week...Satomi vs. Skylark, huhn? Takeshi and Fantine - lovebirds turned rivals. Aww... But I'm especially looking forward to dub ep. 09 and 10! ^.^;;

Ah, sorry. I assumed no one would be interested since they're not subbed. But if you are, you should be able to find the torrents on any torrent engine. The dubbed torrents usually have the ep. title on them, while the raw Japanese just have the ep. number.

Episode 10 is where the River/Takeshi rivalry manifests. River's now the forward of Team Sledgemama, and he and Takeshi pretty much duke it out in the next race. River looks to have the upper hand, but towards the end of the ep. Takeshi finally gets serious and it becomes anyone's game.

Ep. 11 is the conclusion of the Satomi/Sledgemama race. I won't say who wins, because...I'm just mean like that. But the winner gets their chance against the league champions Velshtein. Yeay.

Eh, I haven't been on the lookout for fanart lately. Forgive me. ^.^;;

It's not all our faults, though. There hasn't been any IGPX activity on Cartoon Network OR the Japanese networks for two weeks now. I don't know why it hasn't been airing in Japan, though. Maybe to make space for holiday specials like CN did. Either way, if my guess is right, ep.12 should air in Japan this week.

...I wish we could coax more members into joining, man.

Well, it's kind of both. A Japanese animation studio teamed up with the guys with Cartoon Network to make IGPX. It aired about a month earlier in Japan than it did America. The reason why CN makes such a fuss about IGPX is because it's the first time they've ever collaborated with a Japanese company to produce an animated series.

At least we're finally getting a new ep. on CN tomorrow, which is nice, especially since it's one of my faves. (cough)StalkerLiz(cough) The next new ep. in Japan won't show until this Wednesday, argg.

Okay, I take back what I reported about ep. 13. It aired, and IT'S FREAKING AWESOME LIKE WHOA!!! It's majorly spoilerific if you're not up to date with the Japanese airing, though. But...I just have to say this someplace.

IGPX episode 13 in a nutshell:

1) Takeshi beat Cunningham, but by a really close margin.
2) Team Satomi won the league, followed by Velshtein, Sledge Mama, Skylark, Edgeraid, and Black Egg.
3) It seems there's going to be a new IG1 team, Team White Snow. It's two chicks and a dude who's most likely forward. Don't hold me on this, but I think the lowest ranking team in the IG1 gets bumped back to IG2 and replaced by the lower league's champion team, so White Snow will probably replace Black Egg.
4) Next episode: Satomi versus Edgeraid. (Where's my Bjorn fangirl partner in crime when I need her...?)
5) Rocket George (or the Rocket in the dub) = Andrei. Andrei and Sir Hamgra of Velshtein used to be IGPX racers and best friends.

Whew...needed to get that out of my system. I feel better now. ^.^;;

Yes, Team Satomi's coach Andrei was Rocket George back in the day. Then he retired and laid low for a while till Satomi picked him up for coach.

IGPX isn't exactly American-made. Cartoon Network collaborated with Production IG to produce it. It's the first time that's ever happened, so that's why CN makes such a big fuss of it. So I guess it's half-Japanese and half-American. Japan's run of IGPX is actually still going. Next ep. to air is 16. Lucky for them, their networks didn't pull it for the season after 13. Blarg.

Fave team besides Satomi is most definitely Edgeraid. And it's not because I'm a Bjorn fangirl but that may make up at least half the reason, lol. I think they're a crazy bunch in general. You should see them against Satomi in ep 14 and 15, whew.

haku-san, I can't say I really have a fave character. I really like most of them, although I'll agree that Liz and Amy are pretty cool. I especially like how their relationship developed into this cute big/little sis thing. It's adorable. Oh, but I do have a thing for Bjorn and Jan. They're such teh hotties. ^.^;;

I'm thinking about getting the DVDs, even though I downloaded the raws. It'd make things so much easier with the subs, so maybe. That's a pretty good deal, though, $26.99 for the DVD, shirt, and stickers.

I don't know how many of you already know this, but they're making a PS2 IGPX game. The screencaps look spiffy, and I believe you can play as all of the teams White Snow, but they're late comers, so makes sense. I have no idea how else it works, though. I'm betting there's going to be multiplayer action because racing against the computer is only fun for so long. May 13, I believe. Made a post a little while back about it. Season two's got some sweet battles. A lot fiercer than season one's. We get a lot more mech wreckage in this one. And while it still focuses on Takeshi and Team Satomi, some of the other characters from the other teams get their chance in the spotlight, if for even a little bit.

If you liked season one, you'll love season two. I think. I guess the excitement of aiming to be the champions, which made the early eps. compelling to watch, is missing from the latter, but we get a mysterious new team and more charry development. That's usually a plus.

My Thoughts On the IGPX Teams:

Satomi: I like Takeshi and Amy but Liz doesn't really get to me. She's sorta plain. And her hothead attitude is well...something i dun like. Course Andrei is awsome..."Stick it where the sun don't shine!"

Velshtein: Cunningham is too damn hot. :nuts :nuts

Sledgemama: I didn't like em first but now they are ok. I crack up everytime I think of River's stupid fake gun bang. :laugh

Skylark: Props to them being an all girl team. ^_^

Edgeraid: I LUV SOLA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! heh, Bella is so gothic

Satomi: Aww, they're our protagonists, you've got to feel for them at least a little bit. Takeshi's an interesting spin on the arrogant character type. He seems like he couldn't give a care, but you know deep down he thinks he's great. That's what's giving him problems now. He's realizing that he's not as invincible as he thought, and it breaks him. The emo phase probably annoys everyone, but it gives Takeshi room to grow. Liz has grown a lot since last season as well. She's still hot-tempered, but she knows better when and when not to blow. She's also becoming more personable, which her big sisterlike relationship with Amy shows. Amy kind of reminds me of myself, more reserved and intelligent, but not quite sure of her own power and strength. I think that's why she has those moments on the track where she's afraid and feels weak, but with Liz and everyone else on the team there she's beginning to realize her potential.

Velshtein: Probably the best-looking team collectively. XD But seriously, they're awesome on track. They're so swift and strategic, and that Induraga Mano, holy fark. That's one powerful weapon. Cunningham, despite his looks, used to get on my nerves. I thought he was just a total jerk to Takeshi, and even though I'd rather Velshtein won last season, the loss humbled Cunningham and made him a more likeable character. Dew doesn't really do much, but he's cool. Jan's my little cutie. ^.^;; Didn't really think much of him till...actually, this coming race. Something happened to him, and it made me sad, so now I love him. Ha.

Sledgemama: Didn't much like them at first until they helped Satomi beat up those thugs that stalked Takeshi and Fantine during their date and screwed with Satomi's mechs. After that I had more respect for them. I'm so glad River left to join them, because he was unbearable back with Satomi and whining about not racing. His and Takeshi's friendly rival relationship is cool. And YES, the fake gun "bang!" thing. Dag, that never gets old.

Skylark: Umm...other than their being an all-girl team--girl power, whoot!--there's not much else interesting about them. Jessica and Elisa barely exist in Fantine's shadow, and while I wouldn't say I hate her, Fantine's a rather bland character. I guess she's a good girlfriend to Takeshi, though.

Edgeraid: OMG YES FAVE TEAM IN THE WHOLE SERIES WHOOT!!! XD Even though they're always in the lower rankings in IG-1, they're still awesome. I love their fighting style, and their race against Satomi in season two is probably my favorite of the whole series. Also like the dynamics between Sola and Luca, too snappy and cute. Frank is kind of nonexistant, but Bella is whack with her good doggie innuendos. Although, she looks more punk than goth to me. And then there's Bjorn--zomga hawt hawt hawtness!!! I heart him. I love his snarky attitude and his yahooing. He reminds me a little of Kiba, doggieness and all. He and Bella should hook up because they're so cute, and Bjorn getting all jealous over Bella cooing over Takeshi made my life and OTP. XP

White Snow: They're kind of cool, even though they're cheaters. They have this interestingly mysterious aura about them. Max is adorable, Judy's hot-looking, and Zanak will always make me laugh because of his random Takeshi fanboying in ep. 14.

Black Egg: Wha, who? XD Since watching season two I forget about them, and when I do remember it makes me nostalgic for some reason, even though they didn't do much. Ah, but their mechs are spiffy-looking, all sleak and black like that.

Oh, I meant that xgreenteax was right about the Andrei thing, about the wife and kid thing. Andrei introduces them to Takeshi in ep. 24.

Max is midfielder for White Snow. That leaves Judy as defender and Zanak as forward, because sadly there's no such thing as a chick forward in a co-ed team.

poor takeshi. white snow is soooooo mean! but yes last nights epi was great. i like that spinning move cunningham did. it was so cool. oh and that "accidental" crash done by Andrei was awsome. but it kinda sucks knowing that maybe velshtein could have won but didn't because of andrei. looking forward to the race against skylark! oh and i am soooo pyshic. at the begining of the epi (last night) i was like cunningham and river have to start saying ass/hell/crap (or...bitch {river}) and look i was right. I HAVE A GIFT!!! lol. im joking, by the end of the season im sure the majority of character (besides amy) will have said ass/hell/crap at least once. i actually like the series more now cuz of the words. it gives it a more character feeling. i mean the characters aren;t like 10 year olds there 16,18,21,35, yeah you get my point. wow i typed a lot. ^_^

Oh Okay, now I get it. I didn't know that the Andrei's move right at the end was illigal, I thought he just got a painful and cheap shot in against Velshien.

ok, Sucks that Velshtien doesn't win against Satomi this season, but still, but the season shouldn't be over. The 2049 had Satomi in 7 races. In 2050, counting through their win against Velshtein in ep. 24, that Makes 6 races. I don't know about you, but I don't think anybody is gonna stop white snow from being Satomi's final enemy. I mean there are two episodes left, I think.

ok i have to admit that last sat. epi was not as good as the rest. but hey Takeshi's back and fantine's gone...and in comes liz but anyway that was a bozo way to to dump/be dumped. still...they cut back on the language which sucks cuz i was enjoying it. i can't beleive skylark is even lower than edgeraid. i like both teams but just dun seem right...i'll post pix later :laugh

well, three epis back is um...epi's 18, 19, and 20 right? ok nemme tell you

#18: The battle against velshtein. Andriei is racing with satomi to replace amy who had an injury. In the begining, Andrei basically kicks Jan's butt. Then Cunninham goes all out on Takeshi who does almost nothing in return. (exept one part where he puts his sheild thingys up.) In the final lap andrei does a kamikaze attack on jan and dew of velshtein this takes them out. but cunningham takes first place and then takeshi and liz as second and third. This makes velstein winner but magically andrei's VERY badly damaged mech comes in as fourth making it a tie. Then after the race takeshi sees team velshtein and cunninham says he think satomi is no longer a worthy opponent (of something like that) and jan says "you know andrei cheated out there" (something like that...again) ok by the way, jan gets a neck brace. :laugh :P hah. sorry Jan fangirls. then the rest of the epi, Takeshi gets pounded by almost everybody: (from begining of epi) Cunninham, Andrei, Fantine, Zanak, River, Mark, and then um that girl from team white snow I forgot her name. (its the younger girl not Judy) yeah pretty much it, takeshi gets pwned the entire epi.

#19: Im just gonna give it straight:

1. Takeshi get dumped by Fantine who think Liz cares for Takeshi.
2. Team Satomi wins.
3. Takeshi's emo phase is gone.
4. thats it.
ask someone else if you want more info i am too lazy after epi 18

#20: Amy is in the hospitable and she gets out. and the whole epi is basically about team satomi cheering her up and preparing her to get back in the racing and everthing. at the end of the epi, they race against team sledge mama and yeah it cuts off before anything else happens.

THEN THIS WEEK WE HERE THE TRAGIC DOWNFALL!!!!!! IGPX IS MOVED TO SATURDAY MORNINGS AT 12:00 AM!!! THAT FRIDAY AT MIDNIGHT STARTNG JULY 21,22 WHATEVVER YOU WANT IT TO BE. SIGH.

I've seen quite a few CunningTake fics on ff.net. I'm not keen on the pairing so I don't read them. But it's probably the most popular slash pairing in the series. I'd say a good half of the members on the IGPX LJ com are CunningTake fans.

Moved because of ratings...like good or bad ratings? I'd hope for good, since season two's so much cooler than the first one.

Yes, it makes me sad that IGPX is almost over. Regardless of what people say, it's a really enjoyable anime that has some really great character interaction and awesome battle scenes.

There isn't one. White Snow beats Sledge Mama, Satomi beats Velshtein, and it ends with the Satomi/White Snow battle.

So supposedly the move to its new carppy timeslot was because of BAD ratings. Bugger. Why don't people like this series? It's good! >.<*
