My personal favorite has to be namy. When she was lil so was so cute. Dont get me wrong all of them are adorable and have touching stories. But nami's story is by far the most emotional. When she was slashin ur tatoo i was teary dude omg so saddd. No i didnt just start OP but i really love the back story of OP.

Then it would have to be chopper and then sanji.
Man the first 40 eps were by far some of my favorite episodes. Makes me want to watch it again XD.
I got to say that zoro was 50/50 for me it was so touching how he took the 3 sword style but how his best friend died made me laugh a little.

Now on second place yeah Nami. Though I wonder what is Luffy hiding. we only know about his deal with Shanks. but there's more to the story if he started to sweat at the mention of his grandpa.

yeah i agree when he fought the admiral that was the first time luffy got a serious serious face about something. I also say robins story is damn sad to. Its like cinderalla. But her story didnt have a happy ending. -_-

However, out of the ones I've seen, the saddest for me are a tie between Chopper and Franky.

it's hard to choose...i'm still waiting to see the crazy family of luffy..if luffy is afraid of the old man(his grandfather) and ace is very strong and luffy still can't beat...i cannot really imagine how "devil" can be the old man lol

zoro:i loved his story..it was funny to see how he was as a kid and his "love" story with that girl was great..very touching when he said that he wanted to be the greatest swordsman for her(and her death i still don't believe it..maybe someone killed her..)

sanji:well it was a good story too,the part of the old guy losing his leg to save sanji created a bound between them

ussop:well it was "fun" to see how ussop reacted to his mother' death..since his father is a pirate and with his mother dead,he keep lying to not feeling sad and alone..not the saddest story but also good.

chooper:this wins seriously..those eps of chooper with the doctor's death make me almost cry everytime i see...really no words for this the best.

nami:well this is a very sad one..since she had to work for arlong to buy her village and then..oh well..

franky:almost as touching as the chopper story since for franky,tom is like the doctor was to chopper and the thing of the sea train was great..then the stupid of the spandam enters and ruins everything :|

now luffy and nico robin we still know a little of it..of robin we know that the buster called killed alot of ppl...i really want to see wtf is that thing

Well more people die on the stairs each year on the us alone than people get killed by sharks in a year in the whole world. so it's not really hard to belive. not the best way but still...

I liked more it's manga counterpart. But I agree it was very good.

Buster Call is 10 marine battleships (not normal ships like the one Smoker uses or like Hina, but huge, really evil battleships) 5 vice-admirals and god knows how many marines to wipe out anything. It seems like a buster call completely destroyed her homeland being her the lone survivor. Think of it as an Uchiha massacre. but more evil.

yeah...they must be related somehow,dr.kureha said that the D's will is still alive..then blackbeard have also D in the middle of the name as luffy,ace and gold roger...the D could be just some normal name for one piece series to give to the boys that can be pirates or something.

yeah he doesn't look have that age..even through franky had to live in his head that tom had only more 10 years of living because of the sentence of the judge.

This one is hard for me. I would have to say Nami for now because she probably had the most painful backstory and it felt so good when Luffy kicked Arlong's ass. But i cant wait untill Robins backstory is done. I think Robin's story might take the cake.

Yeah I really dont believe she died like that. It think it would be cool if she ended up faking her death. Then Zoro and her meet up and zoro losses again.

haha great input guys i agree that robins is gonna be number 1 after her arc. It seems so sad already. Im a sucker for sad cinderalla stories.
Choppers story was sooo sad i got to admit but i still think nami's was the saddest to me. Her whole story and how she worked so hard to survive. To work with someone she hates to save her village and remeber her mother, T_T sniff.

I have no doubt in my mind that gol d roger is luffies grandpa. If hes not i will kick my self in the nuts. Lets hope it doesnt come to this.

wat i find great about one piece is that the build up of every char is sooo good. It reallie makes you care for the crew and makes you want to see them achieve there dreams. Thats probably one piece is so popular, the characters are so well dont from luffy to any side char they are in some way developed and made important.
It makes me sad to see that the american version one piece will never reach that status. T_T. But we will always have our subs and if not! i will learn japanese XD
