Who says only benders can be cool characters? I mean, I like Katara and Aang and Zuko and the lot of them, too, but Sokka's just plain awesome. Not only is he the comic relief, he's really smart and strong in battle, but he's sensitive too, which is totally evident in yesterday's freaking awesome season finale.

I'm going to try to DL this season over the internet in the next couple of days. Hopefully it will be up. I've only seen about half of the episodes. And I missed the first one and most of the last episode of the season. Nick kept changing the times when they'd show it. I used to watch the two hour marathons they had on Saturday afternoons but they stopped showing it then.

Aww, but I think Zuko has some inner niceness to him. He saved Aang in "The Blue Spirit," and he tried to save Admiral Zhao in "The Siege of the North Part II," and he's certainly faced enough hardships to humble him even slightly. Who knows. A lot of people are speculating that Zuko will eventually join Aang-tachi.

The show is good. The fight scenes are good if you like old martial arts type movies. When they start doing all that crazy bending shit it gets really neat. But its made for kids, so you might not like it.

I think it gets a little more hardcore towards the end of the season. The finale (which I watched like an hour ago) sorta spooked me out when he met that face stealer spirit. You can't tell me that was made for kids under ten.

Yeah, I think the series really got better when they showed the second half of Book One. We got to see Aang and Katara's relationship develop more, Aang confront the difficulties of his destiny, Katara grow as a kick-arse water bender, more reasons why Zuko's the way he is, and Sokka show a more intelligent and sensitive side of his personality. I can't wait for Book Two, whenever it comes out.

Eragon is the first book of the Inheritance Trilogy, written by Christopher Paolini. It's a fantasy yarn about a boy who is propelled in an epic war when a blue, enigmatic stone he finds hatches into a dragon. Good read, it is. I'm still working my way through the second book Eldest. Haven't had the time to read it since school started, puun.
