I'm not sure what language those symbols are in. They don't seem to be Japanese, and look a bit like cuniform or arabic. I was wondering if anyone knew what language they are in, or what they mean.

that's not arabic as far as i know, arabic looks more like handwriting and is usually letters attached to each other, while that is signs for itself and no letters at all.

Definitely not Arabic. I think it is a Star Wars/Klingon/LotR kinda made up language.

It actually looks sumarian(sp?) to some extent.

That my dear would be a prettified version of Akkadian. I could prolly figure out to some extent what the symbols mean, but I'd have to spit through my grammar book ~.~

I rephrase, it's old persian. Will take me a while to find some meanings since i'll have to see how those signs developed in the signs that I do know. No promises here.

Edit: I managed to translate all symbols to sounds, still working on one vowel pronunciation though ~.~

Edit 2: Okay, sofar I have to pronunciation. The image of the sword is mirrored so you'll have to read it backwards.

ta-a tasha a taja a tasha a yata

I'll try to find if it has any meaning but there is a good chance it's just a nice combination of sounds...

Oh, okay. Persian does make more sense then Arabic, considering how it looks. Even if it's just a nice combination of sounds, it'll be good to know what they are and that they don't mean anything. Thanks. :)

this sword reminds me of The Prince of Persia, so i guess it supports the theory with it being Persian :P
