Erm, as cliched and hated as the term "eclectic" is, that'd pretty much sum up what I listen to XD Indie, shoegazer, trip-hop, dreampop, doom metal, alt-country, "post rock" (in quotes because "post rock" leaders like Mogwai apparently hate the term) etc. And heck, I'm not one of those annoying music elitists who rejects everything mainstream and assumes popular means bad music - so listening to the likes of Alicia Keys and Pink isn't "beneath" me. Only genres I consistently don't like: emo and speed metal. Everytime my boyfriend puts on Edguy, Gamma Ray etc. I just wilt and die :p

My three favourites are (in order) Ryan Adams, Mogwai, Benjamin Biolay (French singer-songwriter) :) Other people I like muchly - Jeff Buckley, Ours, Lamb, Mandalay, Denali, Tori Amos, Elvis Costello, PJ Harvey, John Parish (make more records dammit!), Anathema, Lou Reed, Noir Desir, Jorane, M, Frou Frou, Hendrix, Zakk Wylde + BLS, Radiohead, U2, Pumpkins, Isis, Broken Social Scene, Piano Magic, Slint and ... My personal favourite would have to be Sevendust, I like them because of the unique way they play the bass(I think its a bass anyway), but most of all the way the lead singer sings like a white person, but he is accually African-American. His soul and R&B style is what really attracted me.

I love coldplay, both their cds are errific, lyrically, musically and vocally. The 2nd cd was greeat departure for them music wise, you could tell the growth the band went through after releasing the first cd, i cant wait for the 3rd t cme out.
