I'm planning to read the manga so i can fill in the gap between the episode 165 (k-f) to episode 220 (gusama--or some spelling like that). I was wondering which chapter should i stop at so i can smoothly go to episode 220? I've been looking around trying to find out and i'm just either blind or something else. Please help! thx!

The Skypeia arc lasts from Chapter 237 to Chapter 295.

The Davy Back Fight arc is from Chapter 296 to Chapter 316.

The Water 7 arc (where the anime is) lasts from Chapter 317 to Chapter 357.

The Rocket Train arc (the anime will be here in a few episodes) lasts from Chapter 358 to Chapter 377.

The Enias Lobby arc (current arc) starts at Chapter 378 and is still going, currently at Chapter 391.

Actually 220-226 are filler episodes, therefore you are searching for the manga chapter for the episode 227-228. Your full search is, the equvalent manga chapters for episodes 166-220(or 226).

That will be Chapter 253- Chapter 318 (if needed the next 2 chapters to 320). Hope this helps.
