It was a sad day yesterday for Manchester fans. Not just Manchester fan's, Football fans across the globe. George best, one of ManUs best players, died due to kidney failure. He is marked down as one of the best football players ever. At the age of 59 he was obsessed with alcohol. All Football matches across the Nation, the UK, had a 2 minutes silence before a match. Yes, he will be marked as a legend...

Sad day truly. He was an amazing footballer, if only his skills matched his attitude for things outside of football.

Nothing is tragic about George Best's death.
He was a hopeless alchohlic who was given chance after chance, was the mose undeserving person ever to get a liver transplant and he had the best healthcare available.
A hoepless alchoholic who died of alchohol related disease is not tragic. What is tragic is the person who died so he could get a new liver.

That could teach you a lesson then Shika, after the amount of times you go drinking with your friends at uni ;)
It's been all broadcasted on national TV, it's a sad fact that people will forget about him as soon as they stop printing stories and having TV documentaries.

excuse me? hundreds of thousands of people who DONT have access to all the treatements and best counselling in the world manage it just fine. they drink orange juice.
people romanticise George Best because he was talented. To those people i say 'Fuck you'.
Notice how there isnt a two minute silence for the homeless alchoholic bum? or for the guy whos life collapsed after his addiction to alchohol but then got his life back on track?

Pele about Best: "The best football player ever."
For sure he was one of the five gratest players of Man Utd ever (along with Bobby Charlton, David Law, Peter Schmeichel and Red Eric Cantona). So stupid way to die :(

It's sad, yes, but he really could have avoided it. In the end he chose not to heed the warnings.

Just like Bob Marley, with his cancer that he didn't cure.
