View Full Version : The reality of Naruto?

Hi Everybody
I was just wondering about a thing. You've heard lots of stories of people who could fly, and run several metres up walls and so on...
But, how much of what is described in Naruto is real?
Are there clans who fight each other in Japan? Do some people fight, using gen-, nin- and tai-jutsu? Can people fly? Can anybody jump 20 meters into the air? Is it possible to move so fast that the human eye cannot follow?
I've wondered a lot about these types of questions. Does anybody know anything relatively objective about this?
~Simon
P.S. Naruto really hits my weak spot. I fancy these things, and I've been wondering much lately, if some of it is true. If one really could become a ninja, and control your "chakra"...

Well stuff like the matrix is somthing like an exaterated metaphor for the "mind over matter" technique. Which i think in some way is related to this topic.:S
As you said there are some ppl can run up walls to some extent and jump very high. But only after years and years of practice.
Chakra in my knowledge is just the japanese version of Chi. I think.:huh
But ne ways you might want to check out the Shaolin Monks do a search in Google or somthing they do some amazing things themselves all though its in no way related to Ninjutsu or Shinobi techniques.:blink
Also there is no real nead for ninjas in todays modern world, when we use ppl like hitmen and special forces to get the jobs done.
But still if you would wish to learn ninjutsu and that ninja "stuff" (Im Muay Thai guy not realy into ninja stuff) Im sure you could find a school some where i dont know if you live near one but yah never know.
i belvie that all thoes things could be true becuse if they were not how can the storie writer write all that they can not make all of it up the name of each justu each ninja rank and all the citys and controling chakra can be possible because you al ways here stuff about people breaking ice with there heads and chopping bricks with there hand and wht most of them say is that they channel there energy which is also called chakra so maybe most of naruto stuff is true. however i think some stuff can be real and if they are it would be so kool.:cool

You're right, how could a fiction author ever make something up? That just doesnt make sense.
By this logic all fiction ever written could be real since it doesn't seem to be possible that it could just be made up by some author.
If you ever find some real scientific evidence to suggest anything in Naruto is real, great. Until then its more rational to assume it doesn't exist and Kishimoto made it up, otherwise you have to consider every imaginary concept ever to be possible.

:smile-big I think they could be true:smile-big
I am sorry if I'm going to spoil your fantasy..But I guess these (Naruto nin stuff) cannot be true. We are bound by laws of nature which we cannot tanscend.
Creativity doesn't entail reality.
That's my belief.
We should consume Naruto. Don't let Naruto consume us.

what jutsus? I'm afraid that in this world humankind has it's limits, of course there are people who can jump pretty high, in fact I just went to this Wushu performance and they were jumping unbelievably high and I've seen people run up walls but... some things just aren't physically possible, well at least not in our lifetime.

Are there clans who fight each other in Japan? Perhaps in feudal times, a few hundred years ago (and by this, I just mean families).
Do some people fight, using gen-, nin- and tai-jutsu?
Genjutsu - no.
Ninjutsu - Some (in feudal times, whin ninnjas were around): Kunais, shuriken, ect.
Taijutsu - Yes: The martial Arts
Can anybody jump 20 meters into the air? - Possibly, but that's incredibly unlikely and extremely rare. I doubt it's possible, really.
Is it possible to move so fast that the human eye cannot follow? - As in, too fast to actually see? Then no.

I highly doubt that the human body could do anything like that. Put every muscle / cell to maximum use and then there there may be a 0.1 % possibility.

its not true its just the imagination of the writers, maybe in the future it can be true but it will take a long time.

I'll give you a hint:
men's high jump world record is currently at about 2.5 meters.

A is anyone one there. -Retards-
i belive that there can be a posiblite there is such things as lerning ninjustu and tijutsu as hesd said that nature cant allow it, it maybe true but we humans tamper with narture as well so maybe the possbilites are true. as pek said the human body cant do that but the hman body is still as mistery there are still undescoved thingsd as well co maybe you never know it could be true will bielve it true apart from the flying and walking on walls
To be able to create someone with jutsu ablities, omg, it's like it only exists in the dream world! I mean, for one to be able to move ultra fast you have to alter even the most basic biological component...That won't be human anymore. Anyway, I have read in the times magazine a suit which enables the wearer to lift heavy loads...I didn't use qualifying words like ultra or mega or abnormally heavy coz I forgot how many additional lbs an average person can lift using the suit. Let's look for it in the net. Post it here if you find something.

lame..
http://img.timeinc.net/time/2003/inventions/images/invpowersuit.jpg
well the in the naruto world, the shinobi are actually mutated people able to do jutsu, just like the guy that is magnetic and can metal objects stick to his body in our world.
Don't be laconic. What or who is lame? The thread?
This is not what i saw. It was manufactured in Japan and the suit looks neat and sleek-- there are no wires here and there that make the wearer look like a mangrove:P . Yeah, but sorta like this anyway.
there are things in this world yet to be disovered and human evoultions still yet unkown so there can be a chance even if it is a slim chance that these things can be real even if ti is going to take time these things have a chance to be real
Necessity precedes evolution. I don't think that people really need a rasengan or a byakugan and the whatnot..I think it is more important for trees to evolve the faculty of speech to drive away illegal loggers.lol!
All right....there's so much mystery to unravel..and, we cannot give an accurate face to the unknown.

Alright Humans, time to wake up!! You definitly watch too much Ninja animes or read too much DBZ style mangas.
The Monk who has developped his Chi (or Chakra) the most was only able to stick a ramen boil, without glue or anything, on himself during his training. Nothing more!!

If u didnt know, we humans only use about 10%(maximum) of our musclescapacity.
It would be another story with 100%. tou... chakra and Genjutsu are quite impossible, sorry to spoil :|

Based on my own research, I suspect most of the jutsu in "Naruto" is based on legends and myths. A good deal of it is an exaggeration of what the legends said real ninjas could do. Much of the repuation of "mystical" warriors in ancient times was based on a few parlor-trick feats (which have been proven humanly possibly, even if they require rare talents, and/or many years of training to master) that have been amplified by people's fear of the unknown. There simply are limits the human body is constrained by, and unless some way exists that we don't know to bypass or get around those limits, I don't even begin to know how to do most of those things.
Overall, I believe most of the feats and abilities in this series to be an awesome and well-conceived rendering of the original manga author's imagination. But there are principles laced through the series that do apply to the real world: that hard work can surpass talent, cunning can overcome raw power, and perhaps the one that applies to any discipline: training pays off.

well i belive it is real people are all ways different to othere people so there could be a chance that people will be albe to do stuf like naruto even if there is a slim chance i belive that all that stuff can happen, and i also belive that there could be a hidden village that teaches that stuff becsue the world is a huge palce and parts that are unknown still have not been discovered so it could be true

There are places in North America that have yet to be explored. Some places in the US have yet to be explored because of difficult terrain that blocks sattelite and aerial photos, and hinders exploration.
The chance of there being a secrect civilization in these places may be greatly slim, its a nice fantasy though. If they did exhist its even greatly more doubtful that they practice superhuman talents.
how ever there is still a chance that there can be a hidden village so there is also a chance that there could be a village where people can do those things that there are in naruto you never know
