1 Earth Year = X Soul Society Years

Remember Rukia saying she's at least 10 times as old as Ichigo.. how would you scale earth years vs. SS years?

Maybe time goes by faster in SS. Although I thought that the time flow was similar, just that Rukia has actually been around that many "Earth years." I'm gonna say 8 just cause I don't think it's quite ten times as fast.

I'm just surprised by the fact that the dead can age and that they can die again (Rukia's execution). But I agree with the post above, that time goes by much faster in the SS world than on earth.

It is possible Soul-Society's time goes a bit faster than Earth time.

But if that is correct, Ichigo's group should have been away from Earth for quite a while. Remember they were in SS for around a week (sorry can't remember)?


My theory is that people at SS age normally. But the soul doesn't degrade as fast as a human body is. I even doubt souls die by natural means there. I don't think anybody has died of old age in SS yet. Maybe, their age an indirect reflection of their spiritual energy?

What just bothers me is... they can actually reproduce there... They even have blood...


But then... Kubo-san could have just screwed up on his first chapters...

time to get there and come back without the hell butterfly is what changes.

I don't know, probably around 6 years or more, because in the earth world, Yuzu and Karin didn't know where their brother went and were perfectly fine with it, so it is possible that a week in SS=1-2 days

I think that they just age extremely slower than people on earth, and the reason why they shed blood and can have children is because, well I think, that SS is just a parralel world of earth, pardon my spelling. I believe when you die in SS, if you weren't a horrible person possibly, you are reincarnated onto Earth, and so, theres an equal exchange and influx from SS to Earth. But that is only a theory, my friends ^^
