That's right. One Piece and Mew Mew Power have been taken off 4Kids TV. Will it be redubbed? Will the rights get sold? Are they just giving huge edits to future episodes that takes a long time to do? Will this itch in my foot ever go away?

Only time, and another article, can tell.

Yeah, when I heard about that I was actually pretty happy. I think the best thing would be if another more competent company picks it up. One Piece should completely be redone and they should burn all the 4kids dubs there are in the world. There should be a law stating that 4kids should never be able to buy the rights of any anime ever! Let them make their own crappy shows.

well this for me doesn't matter...but it's good that they could redone that..i have the one piece game for ps2(grand battle-pal version) and for example..the voices of sanji & chooper sucks...really badly...and the opening song of the game that must be the op song of the american version...sucks even more....

OMG this has the potential to become AWESOME news!! If it gets redone by a different group... ANYBODY besides 4kids... then I'll be fairly content..... not that I even watch the dub anyways. But yeah, this series deserves so much better treatment than what it's been getting since it's like one of the top series in Shonen Jump.
Hopefully if a new group picks it up, the current VA cast'll get the boot and they'll re-cast all the characters.
Maybe Sanji will get his beloved cigarette back, and names and stuff are left the way they are.

... who knows... its just wishful thinking :)

No it is official that they dropped One Piece and that they won't be showing it on Toonami or 4kids. I just hope Funimation or Viz Picks it up and puts in on Adult swim and it is not forgotten.

Watch in six months as V.I.Z. gets the right to the One Piece anime and re-dub it and put on Toonami Saturaday night giving it the great cast Naruto got with no name changes, attacks still the same, Zoro, Sanji's ciggarete, Little Garden, Apis Arc, no poisonus suction cups, bellemere's death, and everything else.

Just imagine dubbies wondering where Little Garden and Apis arc suddenly came from.

Too bad they already know about Alvidia. It's a shame that one of the anime's biggest surprises had to be ruined.

Like I said, could need more time for edits.

For instance, the following:

- The kanji on Mr. 1's stomach
- The blood in Mr. 1 vs Zoro.
- Every distinguishing feature of Bon Clay
- How Mr. 3 will fit in
- Luffy vs Crocodile, especially the third
- The bomb in the clock tower
- Mr. Prince
- Whether or not to keep fillers
- A hodgepodge of characters are being introduced, new voice actors needed, perhaps.
- They're probably trying to rehire Jango's VA after letting him go, thinking Jango would never appear again.

If 4Kids isn't bankrupt now, there's no way they'll live through Arabasta. All of the money they saved from Pokemon and Yugioh has gone down the drain.

As long as 4kids has licensing rights to Nintendo (http://www.4kidsentertainment.com/properties/nintendo.html), that will never happen.

I really do hope someone good picks up One Piece. So much possibility there.

Although Zoro's voice was good in the Dub. He can stay. Pity he has to stay Zolo though. Seeing as the Zorro people would raise a stink.

My gut tells me it'll just fade off into the night though.
