Has anyone read any of his books?

Four of his books have had their rights sold to movie companies, and three of them have been made into movies so far.

I've read A Long Way Down. I am currently working on How To Be Good.

I really liked A Long Way Down. I think i liked it alot because of how realistic he makes his characters. None of his characters in that book were even close to being perfect. They all had their flaws and as i was reading it i kept changing who my favorite character was. That usually doesn't happen for me. I usualy like a character at the beginning and it just seems to stay that way throughout the book. I recommend it.

For anyone who has read any of his books, share your thoughts about it.:amuse

I have seen About a Boy, Fever Pitch, and High Fidelity, and I've loved them all!

Which of his books would you recommend I start with?

Probably High Fidelity or About a Boy. But if you don't want to read them after you've seen the movie then i'd say A Long Way Down.

His books are fairly quick reads, so you don't have to worry about making a commitment to read one. i just finished How To Be Good in a couple nights of reading. I really liked it. Some people might not like it as much as his others because it is hard to like any of the characters in it.

I suggest 31 Songs, that book is brilliant. It's pretty much a must have if you're a music addict, providing an insightful, witty and emotional journey through 31 Songs that have affected Nick Hornby throughout his life.

I've read "About a Boy" and "A Long Way Down" and loved them both.. For some reason I just couldn't get into "High Fidelity" after reading the first few pages, though.. :huh

I've read High Fidelity, Fever Pitch, Long Way Down (my copy is signed - BD gift), and About A Boy. They're Fantastic and smart but at times slow. I started with Fever Pitch and that worked for me ... but I found About a Boy the easiet read in the bunch ... might want to start there and get used to his writing style.
