Actually, I don't think the caged bird sign on the Hyugga foreheads will be edited. In the anime, it's already edited to an 'X', not the buddhist sign for temp (which looks like a swastika). So I don't really see the problem with having the 'x' there.

I was however expecting the cross being edited out. On another note, this is a complaint, which should belong in the complaint thread.

When that guy Inari loved was tortured by Gato, he was tied to a cross before they executed him.

In the animeit was edited so that he had his arms crushed by these 2 big guys. In the manga his arms were just cut off:

I've only read the first six or so volumes of the manga, because I can't afford them all. But I did see it in the anime. Is there a place to download the chapters? :scry

Yeah, it would have to be rated R to show something like that in all of it's graphicness, or at least rated PG-13 in theaters, but on TV like this, it could probably fly by if it was rated TV-14 as I've seen an awful lot of gore in the FMA dub. Not to mention the DVD's. When one of the characters died, it showed brains coming out of his orifices. (Is "orifices" plural of "orifice"?)

well, i thought in the anime inari's dad had blue "deadish arms". Anyway, I guess I could have seen that part being cut out, but the excuse that it's downplaying christianity, well it happens alot.

Anyway, your right Manethren, the arms were cut off in the manga. The violent ending of Kaiza was really traumatic when i watched in the uncensored anime, i thought it wasn't as "gripping" with the censorship

well ,it's not a crucifixion, it's a fake country in a fake place with no knowledge , it seems, of christianity. And even if it was a crucifixion, many people have been killed by crucifixion in Roman times.

Also, doesn't it seem that by editing out his arms , CN actually made the anime more like the manga where Kaiza had his arms cut off. This wass worse than the original sub censoring. That's what makes me laugh even more.

People are getting way oversensitive now. Besides, the cross wasn't originally the sign for Christianity, the fish was. It was what crimminals were tied up on and either left up untill they died, or taken down after a few days. When people thought of the cross they connected it with crimminal's executions. Remember, Jesus was executed as a crimminal. If I was asked why he was tied up on a cross, that is what I would have said. Not anything Christian related.

I would, but I'm alright with Naruto being editted a bit. For a YTV show (Canadian), Naruto is pretty damn good. To the point that it's already taking risks anyone other than VIZ would not attempt. I'm perfectly happy. ^.^

Yea there was a cross. But the scene is going to be cut out since his arms are cut off and bleeding. O and i dont get why that kid got all angry at his dad since he was kidnapped and torched and killed. That was puzzling and made me hate the kid.
