Episode 11 airs at 9:00PM EST/Pacific on Cartoon Network, November 12th 2005. An encore will air on November 13th at 9:00PM EST/Pacific.

ok i am going to beat a dead horse here but i did some research into this.

i noticed on the first day that the bass was removed or toned down in all the songs. i have found out that americans consider the bass more violent. according to some radio stations they actually even take it out of rap songs except on hiphop stations

His belief is the central theme of the whole Wave Arc.

Interesting...They changed the way he was tied up to take away religious references...Also the final scenes before he was killed.

This is suprising, the anime had ALREADY edited much of that scene...Then the dub goes and edits it more.

Hi, long time no see guys, I think this episode was great, except it looked sorta wonky when they edited out the cross. Holy crap, only five pages in the english Naruto discussion?

I loved this episode. It wasn't the best one as far as content/action, but the voice acting by Tazuna when he narrarated the flashbacks was incredible. I really liked the choice for Tazuna's VA even more because of it. Inari was adorable, of course, and the flashbacks still gave me that sad feeling for him. Kaiza's VA was perfect for his character, too... But of course, I'm a dub enthusiast.

Funniest moments of course were the ones between Naruto and Sasuke. Flanagan does a really good teasing voice for Naruto, and I'm sure everyone knows how much i LOVE LOVE Yuri Lowenthal. Sakura cracked me up and I'm glad that they kept the "YOU PERVERT!" remark.

I was a little sad, but not surprised, to see that the crucifiction(sp?) scene was taken out. That was the only bad part about it.

I don't like Gato's voice. XD That's about it.

Ok, that person was me and I apolgize about that- the Boondocks DOES actually look pretty good.

About this ep itself. Inari's voice is great- that voice actor/ess? *can't tell* is very common though, I hear her/him everywhere, so I was like "Oh, it's THAT person" stupid Yahiko ^_^.

Kaiza fit perfectly- they all really went out of their way to find PERFECT voices for everyone, I still think Sasuke's and Haku's are the best yet though, I wish Haku's VA could have been Shuro's voice.... not that I actually know Shuro's dubbed-voice, plus her part in the anime was so evilly edited that- ok, nevermind, not Naruto related.

Tazuna's great, an old man voice that doesn't sound like every-other-old-coot we hear.

As usual Yuri did great. Sasuke as well, considering the past I wasn't one bit surprised they kept in the "You pervert!" line though, they're leanant on that sorta stuff.

And Kakeshi1234.... ok, don't kill the newbs, don't kill the newbs. I have this horrid hatred of newbie anime fans whom list all their favorite shows, which are completly adult swim shows, and the top being Inuyasha and- *stops self* calm down, calm down....

Ok, DON'T double post. And...... can I suggest trying to look at anime that's NOT just on TV? The majority isn't-

Well i would have to say the boondocks is a little good but its not like the shows i like not saying its bad or anything but i cant buy no anime magazines where i live.and about the newb thing.I was talking about gato cause he uses other people.i admit im a noob at some games and some things but i dont really like gato so thats why i called him that some of my best friends are new and i didnt notice the edit button until you just told me lol.so sorry if i did all that:(


and i did use to have other anime channels but i only got them for 3 months and i used to watch them channels also.And if they sold the naruto anime books here then i would buy them.

Americans are oblivious to the fact that people were crucified for many different reasons and Jesus was not the only person to be nailed to some wood.


The original version was shown in Japan, and there is actually quite a large percentage of Japanese Christians.

This is just another reason why I dislike American society.

I'm with you on that kataimiko, America bugs me so much. With their up-tight ness about fricken everything, sex is commmpplleetttly taboo, you're going to hell if you don't believe in God *What EVER happened to separtion of state and church?*, shallow egosticial ignorance at any of the rest of the world besides the things they NEED to know- what score the Dodger's got, what bra size Pamela Anderson is, etc etc.

I don't mind that they edited out the cross too much. I don't think that the cross is what made it a good episode. It added to the emotional/aesthetic value, but it didn't make the episode's plot better or worse. We all know he died in the end.

What was most important to me is that they kept a lot of the story in. At least they didn't say he joined up with Gato or something, or that he just suddenly disappeared or whatever.

It was still a good story and it got the message across. I can stomach the edits as long as the original concept is kept in tact.

I still cried when he died.

IGC's 2CAE:huzzah! Good epi this week, not much to complain about at all. I think it's funny that Wolfwood (y'know from Trigun) 's voice has appeared yet again, but it isn't a major character, if you you Tivo'd it like moi :jk you can hear ol' Wolfy's voice coming from that ugly dude in the scene where Kaiza saves the town. Speaking of Kaiza, his voice was awsome! Probably my favorite, hope they re-use him! Oh, and Reikai, don't worry,we all still love you. Oh, and one last thing, I didn't even notice they did the cross edit AT ALL! I just thought thats how it was (don't call me a n00b, I have every episode of the Japanese Naruto Burned to a HUGE CD library). I didn't find out untill I read the Edits thread! How can I miss such an edit!? I must be slipping! I must train harder! If I can't detect the next major edit, I will watch 100 edits! If I can't do that, I will do 500 sit-ups!
