Opening Flaw?

Okay, go back and watch episode 52-53. In the opening, you'll see this sequence.

Anyone got any ideas as to why they changed it? I'm guessing the first airing of the first opening was rushed and they didn't get to clean it out exactly like they wanted it.

No, they aren't different frames. Look for yourself and you'll see. They just changed the openings from the first to the next. In fact, I imagine that when they rerun that episode, they're going to put the new version in. We got to see the first and probably only time that version of that opening would be aired.

Yes, I have way too much time on my hands. I watch the opening every time I watch an episode. I showed my friend those two episodes and though somethng was funky about that frame, so I went back and checked. Sure enough, it was edited.

maybe they thought Orihime should have more hair than that, since its sorta long. Still that is kinda odd, but I dont know if its more surprising that someone noticed.

maybe the codec is different for compressing making it look different?

its nothing to do with the codec, the hair is drawn completely differently, i'm still not convinced thats the identical frame though

I've checked it, its DEFINATLY different...
No frame, no codec its different period...I like the first one better though <___<

I'm guessing someone in the art department screwed up and put the wrong version onto the episode opening. Now I'm curious, how many edits are there in anime? When they air an episode for the first time, it's bound to have flaws that you'll see edited in reruns.

Finally, something I can waste my excessive time exploring.

Could it be from different fansub groups cause I know Lunar puts a page from the manga at the beginning of their episodes and the karaoke is different. So the second frame could be a few frames after the first.

Its not a different group, frame or anime...its just a different version of the intro , just download the eps and see for yourself.

Actually, that happens fairly frequently in anime. Just go look over the Naruto EDs and you'll find examples. Not a big deal.

Bingo.
It isn't the first time they change their openings, even in the end when Ichigo raises his sword against Byakuya and the 'camera' view zoom-in, they added a HOLD at Ichigo's face.
In the second opening they put more drawings when the 'camera' rotates Ichigo, and changed Hitsugaia's running.
Even in the first opening when Orihime and her friend spray the screen - they remaded them to walk out of the screen insteed of staying in there.

It's no different from when they changed some colors after a few of the first episodes with the Asterix OP. Just them using and sticking to a slightly newer video.

I think it was a diffrerent fram, since her hair was like blowing, and look at the translation of the lyric, its in a different timing
