get out a bottle of windex and a roll of paper towels and go at it. Make sure you get the pages nice and wet.

redraw line, recolor black parts, redraw shadow parts..

take a raw, look at a clean and try to do the same, andtry after try it'll look better (sorry but there no magical way (except maybe in photoshop CS2 :p))

I'd say use google and seek a good tutorial. Almost nobody will give you a proper answer here. I can? Yes I can. But I'm too lazy to do it. Just use google ^_^

there are plenty of tutorials around

a couple of pretty good ones:

http://www.questie.com/manga/ScanEditGuide/editing.htm
http://possible-soup.net/join/editing/tutorial1.html

the basic steps are to make sure your page is in a greyscale mode, get your page straight so it doesn;t angle to one way, use levels to get your colours from the many greys to something closer to black and white. For a good quality scan redrawing in the lines that aren't clear is a good idea, for LQ scans people aren;t really going to notice but it does make things look a lot nicer. Then on a new layer you'll want to begin filling in the text boxes white so that you can add your new text over the top, find a nice font and your text.

Before you finish a page just take a quick look over it and see if there's anything that needs touching up.

There is no such thing as Paint Shop (Standard). It's all "Paint Shop Pro ___" ... (I use Paint Shop Pro to clean and textset, myself).

Maybe you have PSP CS (Paint Shop Pro Creative Suite)?

Edit: Are you talking about Microsoft Paint? If so, MS Paint and PSP have nothing in common with each other.

okay. I'll try to submit one. I scanlated the chapter 283 but no words because I didn't understand. Maybe I'll ask Nihongaeri to use his translations. Anyone know where to get comic fonts??

Just Scan the raws and drop em off somewhere, the different groups will take care of the rest.
