All are dead, Shisui isn't even a character, he was just a name given to a plot device.

Hayate has the best chance simply because he's more popular in Japan then Yondaime, Obito, or any of the others. However his death seemed pretty absolute.

Not to mention any of those characters being alive would require them to be evil(otherwise why not just return to Konoha), which I can't see happening.

Well I don't really know why any of these people wouldn't be dead, but Yondaime coming back would be the sweetest. I want to see the Yellow Flash own some people. I mean, he killed like 50 people by himself right?

All on the list looked as if they were dead as can be. I mean really... Obito surviving being smashed by tons of rock and then becoming bad for whatever reason? Why the hell would you go change of heart and join a criminal organization when you had such strong feelings for your friends?!

That sand Jounin really slaughtered Hayate. I mean his body was found all jacked up....

Tsunade's boyfriend... You gotta be kidding me he looked rather dead as well.

Yondaime had a strange death since we didnt actually seen it, but since he used a suicide technique hes probably pretty dead.

Sakumo. A death we did not witness. He probably has the most mysterious death of them all since he committed suicide, but I do believe they found his body which would be pretty good indication hes rather dead.

Uchiha clan is rather jacked up. They all seem dead to me. Very dead. So dead that they are dead.

Let them all rest in peace for they are D E A D DEAD!

Many things point to Obito being alive, a bit too many to be coincidence.
Shisui could somewhat reasonably be the 3rd Mangekyou user.

For the rest, there is really no reason why they should still live.

If you refer to Obito:
1. The name is basically Obito written backwards, with only one O missing. This is striking if you can read Japanese.
2. The mask, as well as the hole, which indicates that he has only one eye, and that we are not supposed to see his face yet. Gee, why could that be?
3. The hair.
4. We had the Kakashi gaiden a short while ago. I suppose you could say we had to see it sooner or later anyway, but the timing was still quite good.
5. He behaves very strangely, which indicates that something is wrong with him. Whether he is partly artificial or his brain is damaged, that fits quite well.

With all of these together, it seems unlikely that Obito is really dead for good. It could be just a giant coincidence, but think about it for a second. If Kishimoto really would want to hint at the reappearance of a character, what else could he do to show it? The only way to make it more obvious would be to glue a giant paper at his back, which reads "THIS IS OBITO".

As much as I want to see Yondaime resurface and annihilate a few mofos, or a touching reunion with Kakashi and Sakumo, I think they should remain dead. Resurrections, hiatuses and epiphanic revelations comprise the trinity of clichees in manga, with the last one being used in fights to make the hero win.

I sincerly hope that Obito is alive. And one more thing, what happened to Rin? Did she die, or what? Along with the theories about Yondaime-being Naruto it's like our favorite Uchiha is a walking George Romero movie! Not that being an undead monster would take away from Obito's coolness.

Obito and Hatake Sakumo are the only ones who might be alive, as Tobi has suspiciously many similarities to Obito and Sakumo is a good fit for the Akatsuki leader, minus the deadness. However, only one of them can actually be alive as it would be ridiculous for two figures from Kakashi's past to be in the Akatsuki.

I voted for Sakumo since Tobi as Obito seems a little too obvious and there is no good reason to bring Obito back as a villain, especially as a goofy junior sidekick. Having Kakashi's father, who is conveniently from Konoha and stronger than the Sannin, as Akatsuki leader would be much more appropriate, and his alienation from the village leading to his (faked?) suicide is a motive for founding the Akatsuki to bring a new Dawn to the shinobi world.

It's possible that Tobi is a red herring to get us focused on Obito so that we're surprised when Kishimoto brings out Sakumo, just as he used Kabuto to surprise us when Tsunade betrayed Orochimaru.

My gut says they're all dead although for plot reasons I would not be shocked if everyone was right and Obito was Tobi, Yondaime was the Ataksuki Leader, Suisui was the 3rd MS user, The White Fang was active somewhere (maybe Ataksuki?), etc. Likewise, Sai's brother actually being alive and someone we already know would be cool too.

BTW, Tsunade's dead fiance was named Dan ... and I find it curious he was put on the list but her younger brother wasn't ...

shunsui is alive but has chosen to live in exile...he faked his death, saying that itachi DID NOT kill his best friend, meaning the MS is not aquirred by killing your best m8,thus help us explain why kakashi got his MS (it fits doesnt it?):....

. after this arc konohamaru encounters shinsui en they will become friends, shinsui will become good and return to konohagakure. after sasuke has achieved his MS, --->kakashi, shinsui ,sasuke and itachis will have a battle royal MSmod/remix... shinsui and kakashi fight for the sake of good will (altough they are enemies b/c konohagakure has fallen apart in two parties) itachi to test himself and sasuke for the sake of his angsty so-called revenge.....when the battles is near its end all 4 of em are in mortal danger.....sakura heals everyone , but before itachis has to explain the meaning behind is deeds ina satisfactory, highly sufficient en efficient way..... then naruto show up en reunite the 2 parties of the broken leaf, and claiming the Rodaime hokage title!!!!!!!! after fighting the 7 and 6 tail bijuu jinchuuriki who wanted to take revenge on all ninjas for making them what they are./....but naruto saves the day (jiraiya and oro and tsunade will all die in their battle , tsunade and jiriaya using fuujin ala yondaime and sacraficing themself to get rid of oro....) These three fights will happen at the same time á lá bleach manga episode 210, but only these three fightns will end the naruto series..........

id daresay my prediction will be pretty accurate IF shinsui is alive, which i highly doubt......

I'd be dissapointed if one of the above turned out alive. But I'd be surprised if none did.

It's a kid's manga, if I was about 10 years old I'd love seeing one of those characters come back. It'd be a huge shocker to me. I just think its probable that he will throw in that twist.

Sakumo being alive is an interesting one, his death is kinda shrouded in mystery. I'd have expected interest in Sakumo = AL to have picked up a bit with the recent debate on whether or not his individual powers/reputation was bigger than that of the sannin.

Anyway, my thoughts are that there are several on there who stand a chance of still being alive. We have a few loose ends floating around as well as a few similarities in certain new characters. However I think only one, maybe 2 maximum will/can actually turn up to be alive
