Orihime vs. Jidanbou

Lets just say Inoue got to the gate before Ichigo and Jidanbou tried to fight her
Can she stand up to the giant? We know she's powerful enough to heal his arm, but is her sheild powerful enough to take a hit from Jidanbou and can she use Tsubaki to win?

Orihime is a completely defensive in combat - tsubaki being showed as completely useless since she doesn't want to hurt her opponent.

Jidanbou would win this easily. All Orihime can do is defend - as she doesn't have the killing intent nor the intent to hurt.

Then again, could Jidanbou actually hit Tsubaki? I mean, it's like trying to swat a fly with an axe. And he doesn't seem to be anywhere near 4th seat like Jiroubou was, since a third seat slowed Ichigo a lot more easily than he did.

But is Jidanbou really that good? I mean, Jiroubou knocked Tsubaki away but he was a 4th seat. Ichigo who just pounded Jidanbou was struggling with a 3rd seat himself.

Two of the same number can be quite different in terms of power. Not all divisions are the same, same goes for rankings. Some captains are quite a bit stronger then others, same goes for VC and all the other seats. There is quite a bit of a difference in strength between Ikkaku and Jiroubu(Baldy>>>>>Coward)

While I fell that there's too much uncertainty in regards to giving Gatekeepers a specific equivalent Gotei 13 Rank, Orihime would probably get spanked anyway.

I'll yield and admit that I'm assuming the Gatekeepers would be in the top five ranks of the Gotei, but considering how useless Orihime and Chad have been following the Hollow Invasion Arc (Chad even admitted it in the latest chapter)...I doubt you could call this a 'hypothetical fight' so much as a 'hypothetical massacre of an innocent big-breasted high school freshman girl'.

Hmmm it just seemed Orihime was pretty tough, I mean it takes chad a giant blast, Ichigo a hard slash, and Ishida a pull of a bow to kill a Hollow while it only took Orihime a few words to split one in half with no trouble.

If Orihime had the willingness to hurt Jidanbou then yes, she would win. Otherwise she'd lose.
