well, i dunno, what do you ppl think. i know someone that thinks smoker will eventually join their crew, but i doubt it.

I don't think smoker will ever join the crew. He's just too adamant about capturing Luffy. It would be out of his character imo. As for defeating Smoker, it's a possibility. He would have to try to find a way to nullify the smoke like when he found out how to defeat Crocodile. Is there even a way to nullify smoke?

Smoker will probably help out the Strawhats in the final battle with the World Government(unofficially, of course), so I don't think Luffy will ever outright beat him.

well, the only way i think luffy could beat him, would be to like, capture him in sometype of container, maybe a vacuum.

did anyone ever think that maybe Ussop would be the one to win against Smoker, he could stop all smoke based attacks with the powerful Breeze dial

Well I think Lazy is right that breeze dial would let Ussop far quite well but from what we've also seen Gear 2, is (atleast in my perception) either Air based (like hiting so fast it makes air shockwaves) or so fast the hit cant be seen. Either way with it he could probably beat smofer faster then he can smokerize. So Luffy would win.

But Smoker might betray and help Luffy if he finds out about Cp9's corruption..

Personally, I believe that it's obvious Luffy's going to beat Smoker. I have no idea how, but if he can beat Crocodile, who pretty much has the same powers as Smoker except it's with sand, he should be able to beat Smoker sooner or later. Now, as for Smoker joining, that's just an incredibly unbelievable statement, it's like saying Krieg would join. But, that's just my opinion.

Speaking of Crocodile and weaker people beating these people, before Luffy got the water, do you realize Nami had the best chance of winning?

^I really doubt that, Nami barely knew how to use that thing. Even so Nami's attacks would probably be too weak to harm croc. I was suprised she took down someone of such a high rank.

I don't think luffy can beat smoker...really how would he do that.

Nami and Uusopp are not stupid to fight Strongest or brawl strong but they use brain to beat strongest number in some way

A strong gust of wind might disperse the smoke....
