Ok... the series will finally come to a "rushed" ending this saturday... we've all heard everybody rant about all the negative things they found in the series... rants about the story being fanbased, overly re-used scenes, etc. This time, for a change, what are the good things that you saw and liked in the series... im pretty much sure there are some... or else you guys could have stoped watching this show maybe as far as ep13... so what are those things...
ok for me one of the many things I really liked in the series is the redesign of the old UC ZEON mass prod MS like the ZAKU, the Gouf, and the DOM... i really loved those designs especially the DOM, which incidentally is my most favorite ZEON MS(maybe because of the black tri-stars)... i also liked some gundam designs especially Saviour, Mugen/Infinite Justice, Strike Freedom, and uhm... akatsuki... i never really liked destiny... dunno why... but it really does not have any appeal to me... then i also loved some fight scenes... like shinn vs kira(although it ended up kira loosing), then the fight between rey+ZAKU phantom vs Neo+Exzaas, then we also have kira pwning saviour...
ok those were some of mine, now what are yours?

Lets see...
Junius 7 dropped down on earth. That was spectacular.
All the insert songs, Fields of Hope in particular.
The new gundams. Many may have been re-used or re-made, but I haven't seen any gundam that has put old designs to such good use in a long time. Well, sure it's a shame to see all thoes beautifully blue Gouf's get blown up in each episode but, I guess it's the price you have to pay. :amuse
The Story. It may have had it's flaws, but I have liked it from the very start.
The bad-guy. Gilbert has really been a shrewd guy in Destiny. From the very first episode you knew: "There's something fishy about this guy..." -but you could never point your finger at what it really was; untill now.
The battles. Though there have been few, I have liked them all. The first clash between the extendeds + Shinn and them. Freedom's re-entry in Destiny. The Archangels re-entry. The clash between the two ships. Destroy. ORB. And now finally in space.
One thing I really do dislike though is the lack of a real climax in the end. Back in SEED you could sense it all building up to a excellent climax in the end. But here you lack that excitement. I don't know why, but that's how I feel. Gilbert can never replace Patrick Zala as a bad guy. And Rey will only be Klueze's clone; nothing more.

I think Gilbert Dullindal is probably the most interesting anime villain ever.

Hmmm...
When Shinn flew the force silhouette through the cave. I don't really know why, but I just liked that scene.
When Athrun finally manned up and cut off Destiny's arm.
When Vestige started playing... in any of the episodes.
Watching Meer Bounce.
Watching Murrue Bounce.
And of course, Seeing Strike Rouge in Strike's colours. What fun!

Actually now that I think about it, Gilbert may be the first "anti-villain" to exist. If you listen to his words, he's hard to dislike, and his actions, reprehensible as they can be, have valid explanations. And there's something honest about him in the fact that he really believes that what he's doing needs to be done. To be perfectly honest, I thought Gilbert was going to end up being the good guy until he blew up that city.
I compared him to Julius Caesar earlier. It's still pretty valid.

-Shinn Asuka
-Stellar Loussier
-Destiny Gundam
-Force Impulse vs Freedom
-Blast Impulse vs Freedom (even though it was like a minute I still loved that part)
-All the scenes that had Destiny and Legend, even when it loses.
-The first 13 episodes.
-Legend Gundam
-Blast and Sword Impulse
-The opening and ending songs, I like all eight of them and the 4 insert songs.
-All the other new suits I didn't mention yet.
-Shinn owning.
-The new characters: Lunamaria, Sting, Auel, Rey.

I only like the mecha designs (especially the Destiny Gundam) and the mecha fights (especially the Impulse-Freedom fight) in Destiny. That's it.
Okay, I also have to agree with what the guy above me said, and include the first 13 episodes...

The fast paced Jazz(correct me if I am wrong) music in ep1(mid),2(start),4(where Shinn's team got ambushed) where the 3 stolen units engage in battle
Destiny's wings
Destiny vs Freedom in 30
Shinn chop up Destroy at EAF base
AA vs Mineva in 42
49 where Rey reaffirms Shinn to fight, and 50 Athrun vs Shinn
(Shinn wouldnt loss if wasnt because of the gundam's capabilities, Destiny serious lack of beam sabres)

1. The Junius-7 arc. For a beginning arc it had so much potential. It really gained my interest.
2. Stellar until the 30s. Then she became a sacrifice to get Shinn out of the spoltight.
3. Destiny's design. Even if they never used half its weapons correctly.
4. the DOMs. The best re-imagining of the Zeon suits in the series. No flashy spikes or otherthings. Just a nice modernization.
And that's it.
Luna and Meyrin were hot too...but unfortunately they didn't know when to leave like Stellar and got dragged down by Destiny's suck.
