I don't know anyone who likes Chinami. Most people I know hate her as well. But yea, I'm actually fairly new to the Ichigo manga. I read 143 chapters in 3 days and now am waiting for the next volume to come out in HQ. I love this series.

Right now I'm on chapter 89. Nishino switched places with that troublesome Chinami girl so she could spend the day with the Manaka Man. For the past 15 chapters or so, it's been heavily pointed in Nishino's favor! I hope it stays like that.:)

Man, I told myself that I was only gonna read the HQ's but I couldn't resist. I read all of the LQ's and thus finished the series. I liked the ending a lot but I kinda felt somewhat dissapointed in some ways too. I was happy with who he chose and all but I didn't feel closure for some of the characters, but maybe that's just me.

No, I know of a lot of people on NF who haven’t read past 143, they just don’t visit the Ichigo forums to often, I didn’t read the Low Quality scans either, I read the raws, which by far surpasses both Yanime and Lucifer's translations.

I was originally gonna be one of those people who would just wait til the HQ's came out. But when I heard that it takes a long time before that might happen, I just couldn't wait. I really wanted to find out what happened next and so I read it. The LQ's are actually not that bad. They're not as good as the HQ's but that's to be expected. Anyways, I really liked this series.

BTW, does anyone know if the anime has finished the series yet?

Well I just recently learned enough japanese to read through the raws so I started reading them in the middle of the series(thats how I know both translations suck compared to the original JP version). The site I know only has Ch 102 onward.

Well I downloaded the first episode after reading about 50 chapters of the manga and I wasn't too impressed by it. It was just alright. Now that I have finished the manga, I was just curious if it was even worth downloading. But I guess if I'll be disappointed, then perhaps it won't be worth it.

Yeah I watched the anime first, and that got me to read the manga, so it was okay, but for most people who watch it in reverse order usually are real disappointed. But you can chek it out if you want, but I wouldnt recomend it for something enjoyable.

All 12 episodes if Ichigo 100% have been finished now. It ended with them making the movie with Nishino in it. Yeah, overall, it was pretty disappointing. The OVAs are random chapters animated. The first one is about the Film Club guys filming their movie where Nishino's the heroine and stuff, and there's that moment with Toujou and Manaka. The 2nd OVA is the school festival thing, I think. It's probably the only time Chinami appears. It was nothing really interesting. More of Toujou and Manaka. Um, yeah. And the 3rd OVA is about Manaka going to Oumi to return a notebook that Yui borrowed from her friend, and Manaka is in a big situation until Nishino comes and helps him out. As for the 4th OVA, I've no idea.

I did see the anime first and thought it was alright, but after reading the manga I found that more enjoyable than the anime. Although, I do like the opening/ending and the character songs from the anime.

The 4th one is about when Manaka goes to return Yui's notebook at her school and he sneaks in, Nishino finds him and helps him get out. The 4th is probably the most actuate of them all, but that’s probably from all the complaints that the pervious ones weren’t. But still its not much better for someone who’s read the manga first.

The thing I disliked about the anime is that some of the scenes were cut out. Like when Manak and Toujou got stuck under the boxes in the closet in the gym. The took out most of the scenes which were main points in the story.

Yea, same here. A lot of awesome/touching scenes happened in the manga that they omitted and I was upset about that. I skimmed 7 episodes and I'm already disappointed. I don't even feel like watching the rest if they're not gonna finish the series so yea. Either way, I love the manga and the manga is what matters.

Same here, although I do feel like seeing certain scenes animated would be kinda cool but I'm afraid that they might mess it up somehow, so at the same time, I kinda hope it won't get animated. As you can tell, I have mixed opiniions as to whether or not they should animate it.

That's true. Although I really liked Toujo's voice in the anime. It kinda matched what I imagined. Satsuki's voice matched when she talked in a lovey-dovey way to Manaka. Other than that, the voices were really different than what I had imagined.

I don't believe "H" stands for hentai. When Japanese people pronounce "H" they say it so it's pronounced "ecchi." See how they sound the same? Although, Kozue meant "H" as in question H but Manaka though she meant the "ecchi" as in perverted thoughts. Still funny though haha

I too know the end result but I will not say who. Unfortunately Satsuki has always been out of the picture as far as I was concerned. They got along but they seemd more like best friends than lovers. Toujo or Nishino are the most likely candidates. Whoever doesn't get chosen, then there will be a riot among the fanboys. If Toujo gets chosen, then the Nishino fans will demand an alternate ending where Nishino is chosen. If Nishino is chosen, then the Toujo fans will demand an alternate ending where Toujo is chosen. Either way, there is bound to be many upset people as was the case with who was chosen.

By the way, I'm on chapter 155 right now. Looks like I was right with my choice! Though, a lot could happen in 13 chapters. I should be done in about 2 or 3 hours, I think, barring any distractions(Yanks and Sox are playing. I'm a Brooklyn, New York native and a died-hard Yanks-fan). Nah, it's from the Mai-HiME PS2 game called Unmei no Keitouju, and the artist does a magnificent job drawing the characters, just like my Natsuki avy and sig. Hmm, I think I should put another in my Profile Pic too.

No, I don't have a PS2. And it's not in English. In fact, no product of Mai-HiME AFAIK is in English. But, I do know the anime has been licensed by Bandai Entertainment and the DVD comes out soon, don't know when.
