You trace them , or use drawing tools that shape those objects. It takes practice, well everything takes pratice. ^_^

Im talking about in programs like fireworks and photoshop, where you can only draw the basic shapes the program has.

If you think the Sharingan shapes are hard to draw, try drawing a car with intense rims. O_o

Using basic shapes then adding details.

Hmm... Draw around the shapes, instead of trying to draw the shapes themselves. It works sometimes, at least that's how I do eyes >.< Besides, you can use the pen tool to create more complex shapes. You just have to be really patient.

Ok, there are many approaches to drawing complicated items.

One way is to draw the shapes you see as close to the shape as the original as possible, draw extra shapes if you need to, and just built up on it.

For example. Itachi's Sharingan eye...it has clefts that look like a circle with a fat curvish tail, right? So if this is what you see; A circle and a fat curved line, draw it. It helps to focus on one thing at a time, too, rather than the whole object you want to draw.
