One Piece coupling

Alright. Which two one piece characters do you think would make the best couple? I think Zoro and Nami would make the best couple. Sanji is too much of a playa' to be stuck with one girl. Luffy and Usopp have a sorta brother-sister relationship with Nami. I think Zoro and Nami would compliment each other well. I don't know why but I also see Luffy and Robin making a nice couple. A poll would be nice but there would be way too many choices.

Zoro and Nami already seem to have some sort of relationship (Love to Hate?) there always very vocal about how much of a dumbass the other one is etc. If this wasn't purely action manga they would have already jumped on each other (well maybe not jumped).

Robin seems too grown up to be with the rest of the crew

Yeah, we know there is no romance in the show but it's just fun speculation. A sort of "what if..." situation. I dunno, I think Luffy and Robin would look good together. Luffy is always crazy and Robin would be the level headed one. It would be an interesting pairing.

I don't know why but I just never liked the idea of Zoro x Nami... they just don't click in my mind when I think of pairings and well I don't like Sanji x Nami just on the basis that there's no real love in there. Sanji's just being hormonal and Nami's just manipulating him.

I can't believe that so many of you can't see pairings in OP. I think there are pairings abound. Sure, the show itself isn't flooded with hints of sexual relationships, but the bonds between all of the characters are so deep and moving that it is hard not to love OP pairings. Half of the time animes have little romance yet still fans come up with pairings.

I think pairing up anyone on the Straw Hat Crew is good and wonderful :knk They have tight bonds. Here are the pairings I like. Before I list them don't kill e and say I am sick of liking yaoi, because I have heard it all before. I respect your opinion, but I happen to like yaoi.

My One Piece OTP is ZoroNami, though. I just like the tension between those two, how Nami is always holding Zoro's debt over his head so she can get him to do things, and how Zoro is always telling Nami she is evil. I think they are cute!

SanjixNami. Though I don't see Sanji as the type to settle with one woman, he does hit on Nami more than anyone else, and often does what she tells him to do instead of a bunch of other women. And he always compliments her during her various moods (greedy, bossy, etc.). Plus, Nami needs a man who'll do what she says.

I agree with the romance ruination comments, One Piece is an adventure/comedy manga, not a rom/com.

Though the most likely couples are Luffy/Nami, She's the only person he ever let wear the hat, he changed her life from a sad story of a press ganged girl to her persuing her dreams.

Zoro/Robin, the two more more mature members, who seem to have a certain chemistry, though Dashii seems to couple with Zoro aswell...

Sanji/Zoro, how can you not see the sexual tension between them? :P

Also One piece was a novel at first right. it was a book called romance where a boy name luffy (looks like luffy) save a girl named anne (i think thats the name, the girl looks like nami) from some bandits/thieves/pirates. also chapter one of one is romance dawn (this means romance as in man and women or romance as in luffy being a pirate)

if i had to choose,

sanji x nami because sanji imo is the only one out of the males who would make a good dad (he seems to understand children). Despite being a player, he's a player because he's not involved with anyone so its perfectly fine. If he ever got involved i would pick nami because she seems like she would be a good mom. If sanji ever ended up with nami, im pretty sure he would never look at another girl again because if he can't even fight a woman physically, he would never hurt a girl emotionally either.

If OP ever had pairings I think it would be Luffy/Robin but it would be a few more years down the road when he turns out a bit more like Ace. As many others have done, I have to note that I don't want any romance in One Piece. However, that being said, I think Robin and Franky would make a good couple. He's wacky but can be serious. They're the closest to each other age wise (Robin:28, Franky:34, the rest of the crew are in their teens.) Finally, Franky is one of the few people who are near Robin's weight class intellectually.

The early goings of the manga make this pairing seem like a no-brainer. I know we'll never see any romance during the main story... but maybe once the story is all said and done, and the crew all go their separate ways, I can see Nami and Luffy sticking together.
