Well I myself am 20 and am still a virgin. I've had three different girls that I've had an oppurtunity to have sex with and have chosen not to. I don't know many guys who can actually say that. Did you know there's actually alot more of us then you think? We aren't a dying breed nor are we on the endangered species list. It's just thanks to people like you and the fact that sex has become mainstream that most virgins (both men and women) are embarrassed to admit it. It's gotten to the point where alot of people (including kids) today think that they're supposed to have sex so they do it before they're ready. I've noticed alot of people here who've said that they've regretted their first time.

I have been teased and ridiculed about my 'condition' before. If love is just something that can fade away or break (according to what you have said), then I would venture to say that the law, or in your words "arteficial constructions" are much stronger. Hmm, but perhaps, just maybe, you don't love each other after all! Maybe you just think you do! Then you would have lost your virginity on someone you didn't even love. Whether you are going to admit it or not, marriage is an important institution, not just on a global level, but on a personal level too (as in keeping a relationship). The difference between just "loving" someone and staying together, and being married is the commitment. Marraige is a legal union and is a legal commitment. If you are not willing to be marry someone then you must not have much faith in the relationship to begin with. The problem is, in America, 50% of all marraiges fail, so you may look at that and say, "well, that just proves my point right there!". But that 50% were people that were "in love" at one point or another, not only that, but common sense would dictate that if 50% of all marraiges fail, then a substantially higher percentage of totall relationships fail. Also, out of every relationship that I have ever witnessed, I can not think of a single one where at least one of the people involved did not tell the other that they "loved" him or her. Another thing that needs to be realized is that it is science fact that sex creates a physical, as well as emotional, bond between the parties involved. So having sex with someone who you are not possitive you are going to stay with would be like shooting yourself in the foot, because you are making the break-up that much more difficult. So the most sure that you can be that you are going to stay with the person is if you are married, right? (and I mean actually married, not going to be) So that is why it is more intellegent to wait untill marraige, and that is if you are not religious, if you are then there are a few key other reasons that come to mind, haha.
