There's no way in hell I'm not getting a special spot in this FC (I mean, I had a special spot in the Square FC, for that matter), considering I'd been waiting since it was announced, downloaded all trailers and clips, downloaded 25 minutes of audio, the short scripts during the Venice Film Festival 2004 and the full summary during the Venice Film Festival 2005.

That and I've watched Advent Children three times already. <_<

As far as I'm concerned, it was everything we hoped for and more.

The story is a pretext for fights and showing characters but that what I expected. I don't liked the dialogues though - in game they were quite enjoyable and here they sound like a generic shounen anime with "fight" every 2 sentences. But maybe that's translation's fault. Also the directing is quite chaotic to me. But I like this movie for at least one reason: Reno and Rude are seriously cool and funny here. My fav quote: "Rude, you look so cool".
And that's to get more people to buy that PSP game >_>

Yeah, I use vobsub, but it´s worked just fine before. When I try to watch the vid, whole comp freezes but I can hear the audio.

I watched the movie a whole bunch of times but althought I am excited by how awesome it is, I still have some questions...first of all, I checked a lot and all sites I looked at mentionned that the DVD would be released in Japan and mostly everywhere else yesterday, September 14th..I just wonder if it is coming soon for real? And also, I wondered if it was possible to burn a DVD CD with Advent Children and the subs so that when I put it in my DVD it'll have the subtitles too?

Well, as I stated I haven't seen the movie, I was gathering on information from awhile ago. I guess, Sayoko will have Kadaj since that avatar rocks. Ultima is a hard one, lol. Ultima gets Sepiroth.

Last Order was great. Seemed much shorter than 25 minutes though. I still kind of prefer Advent Children over Last Order. The ending I thought was kind of sad, knowing how it was going to end and all.

Oh.... my.... God.

Words can't describe how AWESOME the movie was. Wait, one can. KICKASS.

I mean, it was almost PERFECT. The story didn't explain a few things here and there, but the viewer can make his or her own assumptions, na?

Now, I can't wait for an english version. The subtitles were INCREDIBLY distracting. It's not like watching Naruto when the characters stand stock still during dialouge. There was constant movement and emotions that ran through the CG models, and it was REALLY frustrating to read and try to catch everything at the same time.

January suddenly seems so far away.....

By the way, Reno and Rude were even more hilarious than ever. The whole "crazy guy who's best friends with straight man" never gets old. It's gut bustingly funny to watch their personalities, which was kind of hard to see in the game, come out in the movie.

I am so in love with this movie. It has got to be the best one I've seen in forever. The animation is AWESOME and I had to keep reminding myself over and over that it is COMPUTER ANIMATION and not the real thing.

The reason why the names are pronounced "strange" in the movie is because it's Western kind of names (FFVII is western based) and the Japanese don't pronounce it the same way we do. The Japanese don't have the letter "L" in their "alphabet" either, so then they use a strange "R" instead, which is pretty cool, since other Asian languages have the opposite problem. They say "L", but not "R":D

Shame about the lack of plot, really. But the swishyness made up for it, and that was the main reason I got the film anyway.

The one thing I cannot forgive is that Reddo only got ONE FREAKING LINE in the entire film, and his only bit of action was jumping on Bahamut Sin's face and biting him ineffectively. Oh and having Cait Sith on his head.

Still, Vincent had two very cool action scenes (loved that swishy thing with his cape) and got to do all the important dialogue so thats ok. I also loved the fact Japanese speech makes him "Uincento".

Cloud shall forever more be "Cloudo" in my head (yeah I know it's Kurado but Cloudo sounds silly, and thus is better

After I was able to pry myself away from the 4th time watching it in less than 24 hours, I lactated from it's awesomeness. Best...CG...Movie...EVER!!

For the record - third installment of the matrix screwed it over, lotr bored me during the second 20 hours, this movie was just poetry in motion. You could feel the love for the fans of the original game just oozing in every frame of this beautiful piece of art.
