I knew kishimoto was great and all, but after watching the dub i realized that this guy knew how big the Naruto manga/anime will get. How it will spread around the world and make kids crazy.
Ok what im trying to say is that, in the first 2 episodes he has already given so many information and details that even if you have never watched any ninja anime and shit like that. you will be able to get into it really easy.
For example, he lets Naruto explain who and what the hokage is. He lets Iruka explain what the headband is. He lets Konohamru explain what chakra is, etc etc. Kishimoto is fucking smart.

I agree. I can't wait to see what's in store for us in the manga. It's all so amazing that I'm mystified. :P

General consensus on a forum dedicated to his manga:
Yes, the man is as great as sliced cheese. :P

Wow, never actually noticed that. Yeah, he is pretty smart.

Well, you sort of have to explain things for people to understand them. That's sort of common sense.
He is a very creative person, and I hope the series will go on for a few more years.

i agree he is good at his job.

If he isn't smart, you won't be on this forum discussing Naruto.

yeah, he does a good job at taking a lot of information and explaining only what's necessary for understanding the series as well as revealing this info at the right times. trying to get someone to understand the workings of a made-up world in a short time is difficult... i know i'd have a hard time trying to convey all the stuff in naruto to people who have never seen it before.
in short, yeah, he's a genius

Actually, I'd say that he is greater than sliced cheese. However, I don't even like cheese ;)

I wouldn't say genius, but I truly do respect him for giving me my favorite manga. ^_^

yeah kishimoto is pretty damn smart. and in order to think up those cockamany Shikamaru plans he has to have a high IQ. THen again batman comes up with ridiculous schemes all the time that work, but I dont think the smartest people always think of those.

Yes, I believe he is too. To formulate and write the things he's done in the manga, that takes work and brains, which he definitely has.

He's hella creative, but I wouldn't call him a genius.

well, yeah, half the people at this forum wouldn't really be here if he was.....say......mediocore. Naruto has a broad range of appeal to a lot of people.

He's created a great cast with which whom most people can relate. If he's not a genius, he's a writer that can manipulate us well.
*Envisions a giant Kishi playing puppeteer with all the members of this forum* =D
Kishimoto definitely has a lot of common sense though. He probably read a bunch of manga series, like Dragonball, and thought to himself, "Gee... why doesn't Toriyama ever explain HOW they can do this stuff... I want to know.:(" He watches Akira and wonders, "Gee... how does that guy get psychic powers anyway? And how does he do all of that stuff that he does do? And just how the heck did that happen Akira anyway? Darn it! Too many questions! If I ever make a fantasy manga series, I will definitely explain to the readers how things are done in that world! Umhm, umhm.*nods head*"
Anyway, yeah, he works things in very well, which is how people can easily accept things that happen in the Naruto world.

I agree. Kishimoto puts a lot of foreshadow in his series.

Kishimoto is either a genius or a dropout with lots of hard work.
I would go with dropout/loser because his first manga series didn't catch on, but through much hard work and determination he was able to overcome that roadblock to become the mangaka of one the most popular manga/anime series EVER!!!:D

err...I dont know if this has already been said before, but I'm gonna say it anyway, I'm real close to 300 posts ya see. Anyways, I don't think Kishi actually intended to do that with the script. I mean, I think alot of people can agree that in almost any manga, especially when translated to english, the script likes to makes things seem obvious. Some characters go out of the way to make one scentence into a paragraph for no particular reason, its just the way they like to say it. I'd find an example, but I am extremely lazy. I know FMP has alot of that though.

Heck, everyone knows Kishi is an incredible manga-ka. However, he's not the only guy who works on the manga. He has a staff that helps put together scenes and ink, a staff to help him write the script, and of course, every manga-ka's right hand - his editor. All these people come together to make Naruto the incredible series it is today ^_^.
Naruto is super addictive. Last I remember my bro didn't have much interest in Naruto (to be honest I wasn't at first too); Than told him to watch it more and now he say he can't live without me bringing him the other epy. Kishimoto-sensei is an awesome mangaka for sure. So are those in his staff that make the show as it is: Addictive. Naruto sure is the bud of the years. *applause to kishi-san*
Kishi=genious
It's as simple as that :D

I think Kishi is a genius. He hit the nail head-on from the very beginning with Naruto. If Kishi was an actual member on this forum I'll be sure to give him positive reps.
