Hi all!

Don't know if you allready know, but I didn't. There is a Bleach Fighting Game for Gamecube coming out on December 8th.

The official page has just gone online. But be warned, it contains Manga spoilers!

Cool, there will be Ichigo Bankai! But of course has to be, because when this game comes out we have probably allready seen Ichigos Bankai in the Anime too.

Maybe this game is going to be a little bit like the excellent Naruto Gekitou Ninja Taisen series. Lets wait and see. :D

I'm not all that far in the anime or manga at the moment as it is, but I will definatly be picking up this game. I just hope the story mode follows the anime so that I know what is going on. But that is what good old gamefaqs.com is for when I need to unlock things.

Here's a couple links i posted in the other thread about this game. The first one has a long trailer and 2 tv spots if you scroll down a little. The second has pics of 22 of the 25 characters with some moves showcased, however some of the pics will not long(maybe its just on my end) like Soi Fong and Yoruichi. Hope this helps you guys out a little. Bleach for psp controls are pretty solid. Its nothing too complicated. Each button does something different, its pick up and play. I would tell you what each button does but i havent played it for a while. I got it at launch of the us system and i played the hell out of it till then. If you're thinking about getting it though, get Heat the Soul 2. It has twice as many characters and a better move set. Im thinking about getting it myself. The more Soi Fong the better. anywayz heres the links

Seems like all the recent anime games are getting early releases. First GNT 4 and now Bleach. Heres hoping NH 3 Follows along.

My friend pre-ordered it yesterday so hopefully since not as many people are ordering, with his 2-4 day we can have it friday or saturday. If it is anything like GNT 4 they are releasing it today so people can get it on the normal stated release day or the day after for those who have fastest.

Yeah i dont remember seeing his Shikai and i KNOW i didnt see his Bankai(If he has one to begin with). I do however remember somebody in a thread somewhere around here saying they wanted to see more of his shikai. I won't be getting it till christmas since I ran out of money ordering GNT4, but my friend pre-ordered his on fastest shipping so he should hopefully be getting it Friday or Saturday. I actually can't wait to play through the story mode after hearing the songs they are using for the opening and ending (to anyone that saw the 3 minute trailer, the song used it is is the opening to the story mode).

The interesting thing is, Bleach is really modernized and likes to use alot of English. Even the main webpage was in english with Japanese showing when you highlighted the words. So with that in mind maybe the game will actually be easier to navigate through if they decided to make alot of the words for menu's and stuff english themselves.

And we get to use Bankai ^_^

The R button will become very important in this game.

Shuukei, Harueiken: R+X (final move he used against Ichigo in epi 59)

Story Mode/scenario mode is pretty simple.

There are 3 scenario modes that I know of...

The first scenario mode follows the story mode…(where you play as various characters)
After completion you unlock

After completion you unlock

Genryuusai: Beat the "KO 13 people in a row" mode
Yoruichi: Beat Training Mode
Soi Fong: Beat Single Player with Yoruichi
Ukitake: Beat Single Player with Shunsui
Komamura: Either beat "KO 13 people in a row" mode with Genryuusai, or beat that mode with anyone after selecting the option with Komamura's face
Tousen: Beat Single Player with Komamura
Aizen: Beat "KO 13 people in a row" on hard<--I still can't beat this yet :crying

And after all that there are still 3 blank space left O_O

It's pretty simple on easy or normal, but it's insane on difficult. If I'm even going to have a chance I need to get better with Byakuya, because he's the character I feel most comfortable playing with..

It's closer to GNT series...where you have to power up (R+L) with this you can basically teleport (forward, R) or use your special moves, (i.e.Bankai). And the combo system reminds me more of naruto as well. Although there are no real time specials, there all cut-scenes for their bankai or equivalent move (for non-shinigami's or Zenpachi xD)

And what I also found interesting is that each charater has a difficulty rating at the selection screen, for example someone like Inoue has 5 stars (meaning she's difficult to play with) but someone like Byakuya or Ichigo has 1 star (very easy to play with and their movements are smooth. So, I guess they put that in as a handicap, i.e. wanna prove you're real good, play as Inoue xD

As for combos/number of consectutive hits...Byakuya's Bankai=99 hits xD

Yeah, Naruto GNT4 is an awesome game, took me 2 days to unlock all the characters, if you had to choose one I'd go with GNT4, but knowing myself, I had to get both games :tem

My story on how I got my freeloader is a weird one xD

Early 2004, I purchased Naruto GNT2 and a freeloader from this online store, but after a month later still no repsonse, and mind you I ordered the fastest shipping, plus they advertised shipped within 24hours. Plus they charged my credit card a few days after ordering it.. Well, after calling and asking for a refund they refused. I then wrote BBB (Better Business Bureau) to lanch a complaint.

Afterwards I found playasia, ordered the game and another freeloader and it arrived 3 days later. Well, needless to say Playasia got my business from then on. I pre-ordered Naruto GNT3 a week after ordering Naruto GNT 2, and pretty much enjoyed myself. Well, 4 months later I get a package from that other site with the Naruto GNT 2 game and freeloader and a letter of apology :rofl

Apparently BBB already resolved the matter with them.

So basically I have 2 freeloaders and copies of Naruto GNT 2.

I was always planning to keep the extra freeloader just in case something happens to the one I'm currently using. I mean it's a real bummer to want to go play Bleach or naruto and end up stuck because your freeloader is cracked. Although I'm still at a lost what to do with the extra GNT2 game XD

yeah if i was you i'd keep it. I let my friends use my cube and GNT2 for a couple days(which i usualy dont) and then I find out that one of my friends has my memory card at his house and another accidently cracked the freeloader. Yeah I live in the US, I live about 15 mins outside of downtown Atlanta. Damn it all, temporary delay in transit...If I dont get at least a word of it being back in transit im going to be temporary whooping the dhl guys ass that comes to my job.

Okay, I just got mine today, using the least expensive shipping,;) and I've come to the conclusion that... this game... really isn't what I expected...:huh not in a good way either.:oh I've never played GNT1, so I don't know if it was as choppy as this, but I probably should've waited for the second installment to come out before I got it.:( The bankai don't look that good, but other than that, the graphics were done pretty well. They just need to focus more on the gameplay next time.-__- Oh well.

The graphics are good and the models look good, but the mouths don't move and they pretty much have the same stances before and after matches, even if they say something different. I played through it some more and... saw that the movement is not very fluid at all with some characters. Hehe, I spent alot of time just swinging their swords back and forth until it hit something.:P Hard isn't too difficult, but they just use the R teleport, shunpo, more often.

Oh, and Inoue has to be the funniest fighter in ANY game.:laugh I was laughing the first time I saw her fight in the game.:D It was just too funny.

Not sure if I Can agree with you fully on that one. I will admit at first since I got my copy yesterday, I was slightly turned off by the gameplay and the way they decided to do things. Granted, it is the first installment so I never expected complete and utter greatness, but still was surprised with everything. But, as I started playing through the game more and more, It quickly started to grow on me. I mean seriously at first I was falling asleep when playing it, but then after I learned the controls and figured out some combo's (as there are alot of chaining Juggle combo's this game lets you use) It became extremely fun and worth the money. The best way I found to get full experience is to learn everything control wise, pick a character and try to figure out all that you can with them. Once you start really using them and mixing in their basic 4 combo's into Shunpou and Overwhelm, they flow alot more fluidly then you would thing.

Well, at least that is what I noticed anyway. It is definatly one of those fighting games like the old school fighters that you really just need to get into to enjoy. It grows on you and quickly becomes somthing extremely fun to play through.

Oh, yeah. Right now my best characters are Ichimaru, Rukia, and Soi Fon. Only thing that is giving me a bit of trouble is unlocking Aizen from the 13 Battle mode on Hard.

FF I think the game will be more enjoyable to me than buying the manga, which I'm not interested in. This is why companies even let this stuff go on, in hopes that merchandising and branding will offset there losses from piracy.
But if you buy the manga too, more power to you and kubo tite(?)

The game's okay. I noticed the juggles when I played it, but it just really takes alot of getting used to. With a game like GNT, anyone can quickly get into it and see that it's fun, but with Bleach... it just doesn't seem to have that appeal nor feeling. I like the spirit power method and the multiple uses it has, as well as certain characters have higher or lower bars than others, but the fighting system is just slow to me and not very fluid.

Oh, and I beat the 10 matches mode on hard, but I mistook that mode for the one that needed to be beaten to get Aizen.

I think that my expectations of the game was so high because I was unfairly comparing it to Naruto GNT games. Maybe on it's own merits the game is good, but the bankai/cut scenes seem to get kinda repetitive after awhile, and maybe if they had 4-player action it could have been a little more bearable.

Yeah, Orihime's character is difficult to use, but if you manage to master her character you've got one of the best characters in the game to use....

I just wished you could unleash bankai sort of like a transformation. It makes you character fast stronger etc. but you can still do their finisher as a Bankai. Im kind of just waiting to see what the second installment will be like. I know it will be better. According to most people NH and GNT were not great games when the first one came out. They will hear our complaints and tweak the game with at least some descent improvements for the second volume.

Well, it's much better than the Bleach games for the PSP. The animation is decent but the gameplay is in need of some work. I don't know, maybe I'm holding it to unfiar expectations, because I expected the game to be as fluid as the Naruto GNT games. Well, you have a large selection of playable characters and you can use Bankai. I would rate the game 7/10...however, I think it's a worthy effort for the games first attempt on the gamecube.

Wow, that's a good question, because if a sequel does come out, it will be coming around the same time of the revolution. I think it would probably make since to make it for the gamecube. Why? Because the revolution is baskwards compatible and I believe nintendo still plans to make money off the gamecube for as long as they can. But just the fact that the date of a release and the arrival of the revolution would be so close together, it can really go either way.

Haohmaru: I think in order for the game to improve, the game play has to be a bit more fluid, but I have hopes, so here's to a better game ^_^

Yeah, the cut scenes are pretty good. And if Bleach was able to utilize the revolutions controller in that fashion then yes, the game would definetly be a major improvement over the 1st game.

I just got the game today and am just settling into it, for me i feel most comfortable playing with Byakuya, his movements are fluid and give me a sense of control, last character i unlocked was Ukitake so i have a long way to go but its good so far, and i finally got to put my freeloader to good use ^_^

Yeah on hard mode you just need to time it as they are getting up. Be a good distance away so they can't teleport step behind you directly after waking and then start it. I restricted myself from using it against friends though. But she has enough combo's just with Overwhelm + Stun, Combo and stun again so when Overwhelm ends they are still in it.

i've been playing the last week, the game is pretty fun, and the controls are pretty alright. Some characters feel slow, the average speed is slow , but others like yoruichi and soi fong are so fast they are hard to control. and the ryoka have cool moves.

I hope a part 2 comes out with major improvments, more animations, better bankais , etc....

The passwords you get on the GC are for the DS Bleach game.. and in that game you get codes for the GC game.
