Why complain here? Will it really get anything done? If you really have such a problem with the Dub, why not take it up with them?
While the situation has been explained over countless times and while a few of you still don't get it. There is nothing GOING to be done, you can complain and cry. Just remember who is making you watch it? Is it the end of the world even though we still get the subs each week?
Simple- You don't have too watch the dub, you have the subs.
I know a lot of you are complaining about the VA and the Censoring, remember it's for Cartoon Network aimed for KIDS. You should all be grateful 4kidz didn't license Naruto, or you'd really have something to complain about.
IS the Voice Acting that bad? No, it's not that bad it's tolerable. The only reason were complaining is because all of us have been watching Japanese versions for so long, the voices are use too us. Not many of us will get use too it, it's like if your mother or your g/f voice changed you wouldn't be able to tolerate it. Most of the demographics who will be watching Naruto will range from around 8-13. (I’ll check up if I kind find out accurate statistics) the voice actors are not that bad, but we just seen only 2 episodes. Like with most animes you will grow custom too the voices and get over it.
Censoring was going to happen, we live in America in which we still have 'traditional' views. They didn't edit it so bad that it was like when Bird House did DBZ. When most of us were younger we would be dieing for the way they edit their shows. When I was young you be lucky to hear them say ... 'Kill' if anyone remembers the 'next dimension'. We got off, and we got off good. So we don't get too see gushing blood coming from the nose, whoode doo, least we get too see blood in battle.
Give it time, right now Censoring is slowly dieing. It may not be fast but it is FX and Comedy Central is really pushing the limits. Soon Cartoon Network will catch up, and they are rather fast.
So instead of crying over it, either send a letter out to VIZ and actually try to get something done.
We still have the weekly release of Naruto on this site, so I'm happy and everyone else should be rather happy that we actually are getting too see the new episodes when almost 70% of sites and torrents took it off their sites. *Cough AnimeSuki* Cough.
The way I see the dub, is were going to get more people who have the same interest that we all have, the thing which has brought us all here. We all love the series Naruto. I see it as our jobs is too swing them over to the SUB side and get them to enjoy what we have, we as a site need to stop being greedy elitist and start embracing them.
Members= Good
No Members= Bad
So let's try too be role models and make sure they get the full enjoyment out of the series that WE ALL got too enjoy.
