(First off, it's a character spoiler, so I couldn't put it in the dub section, but it was about the dub, so I couldn't put it in Konoha TV, so...)
For anyone who watched the dub, did you notice that between commercials, when they would show a character from the show along with the time it was playing, that Kidoumaru's face was in there?

Yea, I noticed that too. Kinda wierd, considering he doesn't really appear until episode 108. Sure, he is there to form the big purple barrier at the war, but he doesn't even say anything.

Yeah, I noticed that. Interesting choice. :sweat

Yeah, although I wasn't sure who it was at the time. I figured it was either him or Zaku, as it didn't look like Kinuta or the other Sound.

Yeah, I thought it was weird. CartoonNetwork won't even be at that point for about two years.

Is he one of the sound five?

Does this mean that CN has the rights to the entire series? I thought they only had the first two seasons or something. Do you think they will show the entire series, one episode at a time, before they restart and show reruns? Or, better question, at which point will they stop showing "new" episodes and go back and show "reruns"?

well, considering that you actually knew that there were five and not four
yeah, he's the one with the six arms

I noticed it too...But that can only be a good sign. Maybe they spent the money to license those episodes too?

Even if they have those episodes, its still a stunningly bizzare choice.

true. I would have chosen like...Orochimaru or sumthin. Ya know, a guy that shows up more often and is more important to the story.
Even though I liked Kidoumaru's character, he seems like such an odd choice to show this early.

I like him a lot too (not as much as Kimimaro, but meh). Still, I think we all agree it was a wierd choice. Of course, an even wierder choice would be....I dunno.....Deidara or sumthin. Now THAT would be odd!

At first I couldn't believe my eyes as I was washing dishes at the sink. I did a double-take, and sure enough, a sound "headband".

which kind of double take? The kind where you rapidly look between 2 things, or the cartoon version where you levitate slightly, and yur eyes pop out of their sockets and grow really huge?

Why would they? I mean, the anime team already edited out basically all the cool times of his bones spurting out, the only time they kinda didn't was when he made those four short ones come out of his left arm.

The romantic comedy kind where the lead male role looks over at something nonchalant like, turns away, and then turns back quickly saying, "What the...?"

yeah it was definately him. Even noticed the Sound symbol on his forehead protector. I was kinda surprised too. It looked like it was from the rescue arc though Like someone mentioned he does show up alot earlier in the Chuunin Exam finals. Just checked it was ep 68 about 3 minutes into it (happened to be one of the few earliest eps I had still on my computer).
But either way its not in the first two seasons. Hopefully this means theyll be showing more episodes chronologically before rerunning the series completely than we thought. Is it going to remain on weekends only or will Naruto be shown on toonami during the week pretty soon? or does anyone know?

Toonami is Saturday only, so Naruto will probably be once a week, while airing reruns outside the block like it already is.
We might get reruns on the weeknights once there are at least 26 episodes.

that surely is a strange character choice... surely they wouldn't have licensed that far into the show to find out it completely bombed and they lost alot of money?

the odds of it bombing are so astronomical, I think that they would take the chance.
Viz has the license to the whole series, while CN has the contract to air 52 episodes. That's what I heard anyway.

So in the US there toonami only comes on during Saturday? In the UK it is a seperate channel, years ago it used to be after school block.

actually i doubt they licenced that far ahead.
Remember, he appears much earlier than we are thinking... like around 68 or 69
hehe wow, i have never posted a 'spoiler' for so early in the series, next there will be things like Haku and Zabuza die!!!

Yeah, I noticed him too, especially since he was in the form he uses when he and Neji have it out
Oh, and for whoever said they have the first two seasons that's eps 1-104 (one season is 52 episodes).

He WAS in the second season, he helped bring up the barrier remember?
EDIT: assuming that each season is 52 eps

When I saw Kidoumaru inbetween commercials, I just thought 'Oh, they probably needed some random enemy picture/sound nin for a "next episode" picture, so... yeah'.
[Didn't help that I wondered who the heck it was for a few seconds... :blink]
