We sub fans should tune into the dub tonight

I think that even though many of us may not be too keen on edits and many english dubs of our favorite shows, we should support CN's airing of Naruto. If for no other reason than to send the message that fansubbing, bittorent etc do not take away from the dubs audience or revenue potential, infact they add to it. I know many of us will buy various naruto items now that they will be more readily available to us, but I think if Naruto gets a huge rating and buzz it may help get our message across. It is also a thank you for them not stomping on fansub and scanlation groups right off the bat like some dub companies do.

It may bring many a "noob" to the site, but honestly I cant think of a dumber thing than snobbish people on forums who look down on and berate "noobs" of course we have all been noobs at one time or another, and it just gives a vibe of these are internet dorks who were picked on in high school but now feel powerful because they have a high post count on some forum and now get to feel elitist and be bullies... Yes noobs can be annoying I will concede that but it is not the apocolypse some make it out to be....

Wait I guess I can think of one thing dumber than the constant noob bashing.... people who waste the first 50 posts in a thread calling out the order they posted - becoming overjoyed at being "first", "top ten" etc.... pretty silly. Whats funny is as dumb as I think that is I inadvertantly have the first post ever in this sub-forum for the dub, so "first" :)

I missed most of the 1st episode and all of the 2nd episode due to a thunderstrom messing up my satellite, but it cleared up exactly at 10:00pm, so now I'm watching the encore. I'm watching the dub because I want to see what kind of a job they did with the series. So far the only voice I'm satified with is Mizuki, but that isn't saying much -__-

Man I'm sad by the dubbing. >< their pronunciations sounded....off... I thought konohamaru's voice was ok-ish. I didn't like Iruka's voice tho. Or naruto's. Or sakura's :P I'm so used to the original. :'( they didn't show Sasuke's voice!

But you guys have to realize these arent the full dubs Viz made... these are their cut versions edited for TV... the uncut versions are exactly like the japanese version just with different VA's and crap. So I wouldnt complain about stuff like they didnt show a lot of blood and stuff... thats because it was aired on TV... if CN showed uncut versions it be different.

They also say "Nar-u-toh." just like the japanese version... I have no idea what you mean... Toonami says "Na-roo-toh" but the actual show says naruto....

I wouldn't say the uncut versions will be exactly like the Japanese version, because likely they won't be. Just more blood :laugh

Great idea but I alredy watch the dub eventhough I watch the sub aswell, I like watching the Naurto dub to see the improved animation and that remastered feeling seeing all the colours fixed up aswell :)

Oh, you poor, poor thing. I hope Jetix hasn't screwed you up with all that lame editing to Hell thing.

Speaking of dubs, throughout episodes 1-30 something it was kinda annoying, I didn't really like the Forest of Death thing, then again I don't really like Orochimaru and that voice they gave him. But now it's actually pretty good, damn well better than One Piece dubs. Now a good battle to see would be a fight between One Piece 4Kids dubs against Naruto with Jetix edits...that'd be one fucking hilarious fight to see..the comedy ensues!

i like the dub just as much as the original, although taking out the blood and the occasional bad words really sucks, id rather watch the original but if i couldnt i would most deffinitly watch the origianal withought hesitation!
