ok so i hear a story about this guy who went to see Coldplay with the girlfriend and during one of thier songs they throw on the lights and all these girls are looking at thier men like aww thats our song bwahahahaha.

i listened to a couple of thier songs and i realised that something was stiring i was actually shrinking and god i have to say they have good songs but not really what you would consider a manly band.

Well, I guess people are entitled to there opnions and I respect that. I think, Coldplay is a great band, X&Y wasn't there best album but it was still great and was expected by Coldplay. Coldplay has a lot of songs that you could sing to your girlfriend like "Kingdom Come". I would kill to see a Coldplay concert, just to see them. There concerts are only an hour and a half, they aren't like Springsteen concerts which are very long.

i have to say they have good songs but not really what you would consider a manly band..

When I asked him why he said "They became to popular." That is the most ludacris reason for not liking a band I've ever heard. Yet, after browsing this forum and talking to various people I've found that this seems to be a common trend. I find it hilarious that diehard nonconformist are almost as heavily influenced by the bandwagon as trend followers. If the songs good listen to it whether you're supposed to or not.

I enjoy "A Rush of Blood to The Head", very beautiful songs and that album gives Pop music a good name. "X&Y" not so much, in my opinion, it was boring. I hear "Parachutes" was really good, maybe I will pick that up.

let me just say when i made this post a while ago i eas in a bad/angry place in my life so i may not have thought it through. however upon reading all the rebutles(screw spell check) to the post i find that the recurring thing is that
1. They make nice music- I do not disagree
2. They have NICE MELODIES????? are you serious that is the excuse? that alone sounds more girly than i can think of. i would never discribe sabbath as having nice melodies.
and lastly
3. i know a lot of guys who like them- as i said before my oppinion of Coldplay has changed a bit since the time i started this and i kinda like coldplay. so i will modify my statement. Coldplay is a Girly band that i like.
