This FC will contain manga spoilers, as Yumichika is much more beautiful in the manga and I can't stand to not talk about him in all his glory.

He's the most perfectly beautiful shinigami in all of Soul Society, Ayasegawa Yumichika, and this is his FC.

Why do I like Yumichika so much?
1. He looks Egyptian or something, which is cool.
2. He has one of the most kickass looking soul slayers, a four-bladed sickle.
3. He's funny as hell.
4. He would like me because I'm a beautiful person.
5. We agree that the number three is really, really beautiful, but there are more than three reasons to like him, and I couldn't stop on four, as four is ugly, so I had to make up this fifth reason.

I have decided that this is the most flattering banner for the FC thus far, and since Yumichika would kill us if we used anything but the best for him, it is the one that is "official".

Ok, first of all, I'm so HAPPY Yumi's seen as he truly is in this FC, and not some gay feather wearer (for the record and for the easily angered minds, I have absolutely nothing against gay people). This has more to do with "whymakeupanewpersonalityforacharacterwhenthecanono neissogreat?????". The Bleachforums are full of Yumichika is gay, he's a cream-puff etc.etc. Plus him being paired with Ganju (barf), Ikkaku (I love Ikkaku but if that guy isn't straight I don't know who is) and of course Shuuhei (lovely to look at, but a total bore of a character). Next they'll be pairing him with Kenpachi, good lord.

Oh, and maybe your friend will convert, who knows? Yumi's simply irresistable like that. Just look at that face.

There is a Yumichika fanclub! :) I must this one join. Nice collection of fanart here too. I generally like the 11th division guys but Yumichika is slowly becoming my favourite Bleach character.

I think that Yumichika looks too old for high school and too young to be a teacher, but he was furthest back of the shinigami. And do we know for sure that they are going to become students there?

I always believed Kubo had some thoughts for Yumi. This chapter proves it, since Kubo when Kubo uses filler characters, you know it. And he's there. With paperclips on his trousers hem. But the highschool uniform doesn't do him justice. He looks as boring as Shuuhei is, poor darling.

o-o...I read somewhere where someone was translating those. Yumi means both 'bow' and 'beauty' but usually is used for beauty. Chika, I've never heard used for 'card dealer' though. odd...especially since it doesn't match him.

Will do. I used Kubo's coloring for reference, since that's canon, not the anime, where his feathers are bright and two-colors. I'll make them brighter though, cause they're not flashy enough, using the same color palette. Tomorrow, though. I've already made some more tweakings, but I'm still waiting for more feed-back.

Remember that Yumichika might avoid using the full power of his shikai in front of his fellow 11th division members (in this case Ikkaku). This would lower his power a bit. I'm pretty sure that they will team up and win against one of the Allankar.

Yeah, no kidding. It's getting pretty close now. Ikkaku is hedging in on Yumichika's number one spot, especially with his bold declaration at the end of that last chapter. But I'm glad they are both getting huge manga time recently. It was very much needed for us die hard fans.
