0_0 I just started Italian last week, but I'm catching on pretty fast, so I figured I'd share some basics. I'm throwing in some music terms too, since I'm a band nerd.

Ciao: (Pronounced "Chow") Hello. Good-bye.
Salve: (Pronounced "Salveh") Hello, but more formal.
Buon giorno: (Pronounced "Bon jorno") Good Morning, or Good Day.
Come stai: (Pronounced "comeh stai") How are you? Similarly, "Come va" means "How's it going?"'
Molto bene: (Bene is pronounced "behneh") Very well.
Non c'è male: (Pronounced "non chay maleh") Not bad.
Così-Così: (Pronounced "cozy-cozy") So-so.
Tempo: Time
Grazie: Thank you.
Grazie mille: Thanks a million.
Mi chiamo ___: (Pronounced "me kiamo") My name is ______.
A domani: I'll see you tomorrow.
A presto: I'll see you soon.
Andare e l'inferno, pazzo il pensionato: Go to hell, crazy old man. (I think.)
Forte: Strong
Alto: High
Su!: Come on!
Subito: Immediately. (As in subito piano; an immediate quiet in musica la teoria. ;))
Il sud: South (lol.)
Mezzo: Half (Half forte, half piano.)
Peccato!: Too bad!
La Tromba: Trumpet

Haha. Okay, so I looked some up. But alot I already taught myself. 0_0

Considering you started last week, you're doing fairly well.

Considerando che hai cominciato la scorsa settimana, ti stai comportando decisamente bene.

Mi chiamo ___: (Pronounced "me kiamo") My name is ______.
"Mi chiamo" = "I'm called". "My name is" = "Il mio nome è".

Andare e l'inferno, pazzo il pensionato: Go to hell, crazy old man. (I think.)
"Go to hell, crazy old man" = "Và all'inferno, vecchio pazzo".

Il sud: South
La Tromba: Trumpet
Those are technically "the trumpet" and "the south". "Il/la" are articles, "la" is used for female subjects, "il/lo" for male ones.

BTW - If you need help about Italian stuff feel free to ask me here. ;)
