Over 200

There's no way I'm going to try to count them all, but I have 6 full 36 disk CD-Holders and another that's about half-full, plus a few CD's I've downloaded but have yet to burn to disk.

I'm starting to build up my collection. And I'm gonna buy an mp3 player (like a creative zen micro or zen touch) so I'm gonna buy more cd's so I can rip 'em and put 'em on the player.

Im a member of the broke community so I the number of albums I own is definitely less than 10. But I do have all of LP's album and dvds. Right now I just download the songs at random and burn them. How I wish I have an MP3 player... save time burning and batteries for the discman!

o_o I'm surprised that so many people have that much albums. I only own a handful of CD's and no more than 20 albums I've downloaded thus far.

I have a question for some of you: Of all the albums you currently own, do you like all of them? If you don't, do you sell/delete any of those you don't like?

Waz
11-02-2004, 07:41 PM

I don't want to count my burnt ones, there's a few stacks on the floor somewhere...

I have around 170+ original CDs, I don't like all of them because some CDs' replay value runs out after awhile, but I don't have anywhere to sell them off since they're not English CDs.

Kakashi_TCN
11-08-2004, 06:11 PM
347 albums on my computer harddrive and 137 CDs. All have been purchased in the last 4 years. So much money wasted on that, oh wellz i can sell the CDs though.

I hate people who download illegally.
I mean, it's okay if you're trying out a new artist and you're doing it just to see what they're like. If you like them, you'll buy their album, if you don't, you won't. But people who just rely on illegal downloads... it's just stealing from the musicians, and that's fucking awful.
You all should be ashamed :oh especially if that artist isn't of a major record label... it's sad.
Anyway, in answer to the thread's question; I don't know XD

See, you say "especially if that artist isn't of a major record label"

Almost ALL the underground artists i know/spoken with/associate with/listen to ENCOURAGE downloading; their main concern is to have people listen to their music rather than to pawn money from it. Most make enough money from mechandise sales, ticket sales and various other endeavours as it is. Heck, most underground bands (particularly the grind/punk and some indie ones) have their music up for free download anyway; me included.

But yes, music bought: last count was about 500

Music in total (including downloads): about 800 - 1000 that's including various grind & punk splits, soundtracks and various artist compilations :)

In the words of Heavy Devy:

"Download the new album, burn a copy for all your friends and family, just come to the show and maybe buy a t-shirt."

I download like a machine, but I have put so much money back into the industry I feel no guilt whatsoever.

Arntor, you need more Devin Townsend, Green Canation, Sigh and well, non-metal rock. Try some funk, jazz, expiremental hip-hip, country.

I hope to see Typ O Negative and Therion in your T section.

Around 150 + a few vynils my father gave me ( including a very rare ep by Bob Marley & Lee Perry ... :amazed ) + around 100 I downloaded ( rare pieces , hard to find in shop , or available in vynil only , for the most ... ) . The collection will increase with christmas , for sure . And yes , I like all my albums ( I sold the shitty ones when I ran out of money ... ) . :laugh
