you know what? i'm glad you brought it up. honestly, i forgot about s3 altogether >.>
....still in chapter 4 xD i hate how every chapter you progress through means a few more rare items becoming forever unattainable in s3. i went through such a headache collecting fury runes, water/fire/lightning magic rings, antiques, blah blah blah.
I'm only up to chapter 2. Well actually I ended chapter 1 with everyone and now I'm doing Thomas' mini mission. I hope I didn't miss out on too many things though. When playing through Geddoe's first chapter I saw some bluish monster in the background of this one area that I didn't need to go to, but didn't fight it since there was no save point near. I hope I didn't lose my chance. I should've went back after fighting that huge monster boss on the mountain path.

I also couldn't find any screw to help that girl hitting that barrel thing and I know she had to be needed for that circus thing. I wanna try to get the 108 stars this time unlike last time

She's just Cham Cham's friend from Samurai Shodown RPG. That's pretty much the only time you see her. The only sibling she has is her older brother Tam Tam.

Yeah I think it was on Cartoon network. I've only seen one episode of it since it always comes on when I'm not around, so I don't even know how it is.

I also find myself liking the Duck and Lizzard clans more than I originally did (though I didn't dislike them anyway).

While it's always been a weird fact that both Cham Cham and Felicia (the cat girl of dark stalkers) were released in the same year (1994), and people have been debating about who ripped off who or if it is just a big coincidence (especially considering that Cham Cham's alternate color matches Felicia's main color), I found out something new which makes things even weirder, which is that Felicia's ethnicity is from somewhere in south america. What makes that weird is that Cham Cham is from south america as well. Just more complications it seems in proving this as one big coincidence.

Yeah you definitely get lots of loot, but luckily things can get pretty expensive. What I hate is that you can't really carry much. It's like playing Dragon Quest or something. The worst thing is that 5 is equally as limited in how many items you can carry. But I've been spending money like crazy in this game, because I've found too many characters I want to invest time in.

Well she has regular ears, but they're always covered by her hair. I guess so that it wouldn't take away from the cat ear accessory or something, but since she is human she technically has human ears.

Easy. I can't sleep much for some reason. I sleep about 4-6 hours, then I'm up again. I think it has part to do with some degree of insomnia, but mostly due to the fact that my bed is seriously uncomfortable. If you ever saw seinfeld and remember the episode with the bed that had the bar in the middle, then you'll have an idea of how uncomfortable my bed is :S

Well yeah....he's quite the androgynous character. In fact most people thought it was a she when looking at promotional art. To his defense, he's not annoying, but that's mostly because he's taken the silent protagonist persona, so his character is mostly determined by the player. He's also a fairly good character so he doesn't get in the way. Maybe this will help you:

Yeah I knew that one from the jump, though you can say his influence was in budokai 1 (which wasn't cell shaded until the GC version was released) though the modeling was done by the GT guy, but with his designs.

well despite that, i'd still say s5's main protagonist is worse. i don't know what it is. i guess it's also that he's ugly as hell. and thanks for the comment on the game. i was about to give magna carta a shot until now. honestly, i'd like to play disgaea 1, but...i don't really wanna pay 40 bucks for an old game.

Yeah the guy wears kunoichi pants. I was really caught off guard when I saw that and even more off guard when I heard his overly manly voice. It was like they really wanted to compensate for his disturbing design. The game is just so bleh. The story's nice and all, but the fact that the battle system is so crappy kills the game for me. I'll explain just so you have a bit more to go on than just my word. Basically you have a 3 person party, and it's pseudo turn based. The problem is that every turn, you can only use one person, so you can either attack heal or cast a spell each turn, rather than waiting for each member to have a turn independently (ATB style), or having each member attack individually on the player's turn (real turn based style). If that's not annoying enough, to actually get an attack out you have to hit each button rhythmically. Think...ummm DDR but instead of waiting for an arrow to go up, you have to hit the corresponding button as it rotates in a circle. The suckiest thing about this is that you don't hit the buttons at the right time to get a stronger attack....you hit them at the right time just to get your attack out properly -____-. So you're not hitting all of these buttons for a combo, you're hitting all of them for a single slash, and for more complicated moves, the button combinations are of course, more complicated making things less fun. And as a final problem, the game loads for each attack you do. It's not too long of a load, but for cham's sake, why does it have to load anyway? It's not like playstation games (besides tactical games like hoshigami, and FFTactics) had loading times for single slashes. The story's decent, but not decent enough to get around the horrible system that could've been much more.

The S5 guy would've been bearable as a design, if his clothes didn't suck so much. And what's worse is that he actually has 2 sucky sets of clothing. The girly man aspect just adds insult to injury.

Yeah I gave the FC to Roy. I may just hand it over to him permanently considering how the FC plannings go. Depends.

It's worth any price within the 50 dollar limit. As for FFT loading for each attack (which I failed to specify as for only spells)...it seems my guess was right. I was gonna add in that it usually does that with a dying playstation, but thought that it was simply how the game worked when someone would cast a summon. But yeah I loved FFT. The GBA version wasn't as good, but it was alright. It seemed they wanted to make a new experience, and got mixed results. Oh and you can use iso files as well?

is that the one where it starts off with marle waking you up instead of gina? cuz i remember i really didn't like that one bit and gave up after like 2 minutes. i think it was cuz they replaced the already-bad portraits with even worse fanart versions.

I'm telling you it's old, but so worth an actual copy considering how good of a game it is. I have 500 hours in that game. There aren't many games I spend 500 hours on. As for PS2 emulators, I also have yet to find a good one. I just modded mine instead.

Well it was most likely due to the fact that my ps was dying around the last time I really played the game so it would load a lot whenever it was doing a spell. I couldn't get quick kills since I wasn't so good with calculators :S

It'd be quite the mouthful since it's very convoluted, and it seems that the writers just ended up going on with the story instead of trying to fill the pot holes. I think when you play the game and ignore all of the parts that don't make sense, then it's easier to understand, meaning if you see an inconsistency, just go with it and run instead of questioning it, because that's most likely what the writers did. At least that's what the time line synopsis seemed to allude to in their time lines. I just read that and then answered whatever questions they didn't do clearly with that info and the game. A lot of their theories are horrible though.

holy crap, 500 hours? that's 6 times more than i've spent on any single game. i think the most i ever spent was like...78 hours on ffx. probably spent about 55 hrs on fftactics. the calculator is easy as long as you can get your speed up to 25 CT per tick. if you can get your CT to 100 in 4 ticks, that means everyone's CT is divisible by 4, so math skill -> CT + holy + holy robe = death to all enemies/fully heal party members.
Ok I really have to try this out then. I was a bit confused at first, but now I see what your strategy is. I just have to figure out how to get the party's CT to 25 ticks.

As for 500 hours in Disgaea....I must admit that I went a bit overboard with the leveling and item world collection. The thing is that if you look at it a certain way, the leveling and item collection just so you can beat the ultimate boss can be repetitive, or it can be fun to crush your enemies so easily after the hardships of beating them in the beginning of the game. Then after beating the boss, you may feel the urge to beat the ultimate boss with only one character, and it's very possible to level up your character to do it. And you might want a whole elite team of beefy characters if you wish. I'd say if you're just content with defeating the last boss as a team, then you'd probably spend like 100 possibly 150 hours on the game. I spent around 300 hours before I could beat the ultimate boss easily because I was dumb and tried to make all of my team members really strong until I realized that was a waste of time, and only focused on the main character and about 8 other people for fun and then created the unemployment list for characters I had for the hell of having them. So it all depends on what you prefer doing in the game. Same thing goes with Disgaea 2.

how much did you pay to get your ps2 modded? and where? i heard my version of the ps2 is incompatible with modchips and would fry my system :sad
Well it was kinda expensive ($125), and left me broke for a while :S. It might've gone down considering the PS3 is out, but I'm not too sure. As for the chips, I'm not too sure how compatibility works, but they check your ps2 generation to see if it's compatible first before they work on it. I had the new ps2 modded after my old one broke down making it unmoddable, and my friend had an older generation modded. There's also the swap magic alternative. I got mine modded at chinatown in manhattan. I went to elizabeth street and went to J&L to get it modded. Accross the street from there is the famous elizabeth center, and there's a game store in there (just go down the stairs) that sells swap magic. They modd gamecubes there, but I'm not sure about PS2s.

in cases like CC, i just pretend it really was a dream as they showed in the very end. you know...serge waking up to see everything was nothing but a dream. sure, it takes the drama away, but that means crono and co. didn't get killed by losers.

I would pass it off like that as well, but then there's the ending that kinda messes with things with that picture of Schala...or kid....and that guy with the face cut off who's possibly Serge or the original Magus, who I still think Serge is the reincarnation of like you said before.

well females can use a perfume called seismetein or something like that which puts them in permanent haste, so you just need a priestess with 13+speed to hit 100 CT in 4 ticks. honestly, it's actually faster to win a battle with this foolproof setup with just 1 character than a full team of 6 since you would be forced to watch 5 less "holy" magic animations...unless you're fighting a boss.

and i absolutely intend to obtain everything there is in disgaea 1. of course, i'd like go play it through to the end first without overpowering myself since i like a challenge. and as for disgaea 2, i might not even bother to play that game. playing an evil demon prince seeking power and domination over the netherworld while killing all opposition is much cooler than playing some dorky "nice" guy seeking to help people.

yeah, i heard i should go there too. but over 100 bucks to get my ps2 modded? the modchips cost like 35 bucks!! i read somewhere that only my version of the ps2 is actually incompatible with their modchips, so i don't wanna risk the chance of getting my ps2 fried. i would do the swap magic thing, but my gay version makes that tough too, cuz there's no mini screws holding the front plate of the disc tray on. i'd have to break it off with sheer force.....

I would pass it off like that as well, but then there's the ending that kinda messes with things with that picture of Schala...or kid....and that guy with the face cut off who's possibly Serge or the original Magus, who I still think Serge is the reincarnation of like you said before.

well females can use a perfume called seismetein or something like that which puts them in permanent haste, so you just need a priestess with 13+speed to hit 100 CT in 4 ticks. honestly, it's actually faster to win a battle with this foolproof setup with just 1 character than a full team of 6 since you would be forced to watch 5 less "holy" magic animations...unless you're fighting a boss.

and i absolutely intend to obtain everything there is in disgaea 1. of course, i'd like go play it through to the end first without overpowering myself since i like a challenge. and as for disgaea 2, i might not even bother to play that game. playing an evil demon prince seeking power and domination over the netherworld while killing all opposition is much cooler than playing some dorky "nice" guy seeking to help people.
Well the plot in Disgaea 1 is leagues better, I'll admit, but 2's story isn't so bad. I'm a big Laharl fan and I still couldn't help but laugh at the situation they put him in with the second game. The main guy of 2 isn't directly funny, but he definitely is a good set up character for jokes, either being the butt of some, or sometimes due to saying dumb things in regard to his honor code my favorite line being "legalized gambling?...that's just not my style"....I guess you'd have to see the scene to know what I mean though. Both games are really funny, and even though Laharl is a joke in both games, he's still portrayed as being powerful without being obnoxiously so.

But putting the story aside, 2's system is just so much more refined than the first. I don't know if the experience may be changed if you don't play Phantom Brave and Makai Kingdom before playing 2 (which are 2 other good games in their own right), but going back to the grid system just felt so good. 2 is definitely worth it, but I guess playing the first would be best since if you don't like the first's system, then you'll definitely hate the 2nd's.

Damn sony. Other than the mod chip and swap magic, I don't know another way unfortunately. As for the mod price, it does fluctuate a lot. I heard if I was a bit faster I would've only paid 70 bucks for it. Plus since the PS3 is out, it may be cheaper, but you said yours is incompatible, so I guess that option's out. yeah, that's kinda the reason i wanna play disgaea 1 rather than 2. it's all in the characters. if i can't stand the person i'm suppose to be role playing as, then i can't enjoy the game as much as i should be. the stereotypical "nice guy" hero is the type i utterly hate playing the most. they do the polar opposite of what i want them to do and put themselves in stupid meaningless troubles for reasons stupid beyond compare.
i mean when you role play as one of those heroes, you often at least at some point in the game find yourself doing something stupid like saving a cat that miraculously got lost deep within the very depths of an ancient sealed dungeon from the hordes of evil monstersl! ....cuz a little girl is crying under a tree and waiting for her prince to come along and save her indiana jones reincarnated fuzz ball.

the slide card works with the swap magic, which requires i break off the cover of the disc tray, so that's no good. and i'm not about to carve my ps2 apart to play bootleg games. even the swap magic is a lot of work compared to modchips. damn those chinatown bastards! they charge like 50 bucks for a quick soldering! :yell

I always forget about the level up/down trick. I really need to exploit that. Once my characters got up to level 99, I kinda just stuck with it instead of working on the level down trick because I didn't know how it worked exactly besides stepping on level down traps. Did your stats stay the same or something, or did they just reduce only slightly making you still a bit more powerful than when you first reached the respective level? Anyway I liked agrias more than cid as well, but was pissed off at the whole move set thing. I can finally get her on par with him with this trick. I'll still exploit it for Ramza and Rad (one of the first random guys you get) purposes more though.

As for Disgaea....well yeah I think Adel does end up doing something dumb like that...though the only saving part I can remember included a funny conclusion, and he kinda had no choice but to do it since it was related to people close to him rather than totally unrelated. He's nice, but he's also determined, so in one of the parts of the game, he even fights a little girl who challenges him, at full force. She herself was a joke from a game which never came out.

The cool and funny things Laharl goes through in disgaea are definitely better than Adel, though towards the end, while still funny it does get more of a serious focus, and depending on the ending you get, he'll do something that you'll disappointingly expect by the time you get up to it.

Oh. I didn't know too much about swap magic and all the things that came with it. I just thought it was fully external. As for modding my ps2, while I do have a few "backups" most of my games were actually purchased online or at chinatown. I usually only get isos for games that aren't worth the money they're currently priced at (I'm not paying 75 bucks for a king of fighters game which still has graphics from 1994 >.>). Plus I have roms so that should already be invalid.

:arg....wait. My ps2 randomly resets itself anyway so it wouldn't be too much of a loss. For some reason the chip in my ps2 causes some games to reset at random times, so playing certain games can be very annoying at times. Luckily the disgaea games and fighting/shooter games don't do it. Unfortunately it happens a lot with RPGs and usually during long cinemas meaning if I didn't get to save, I have to get all the way to that point and then hope the game doesn't reset during the cinema :arg. Playing Xeonosaga 3 was hell.

well, the whole idea of the lvl up/down is to lvl up with high growth classes and down with low growth classes. mime's a good choice, except it'll kill your mp, so you'd need to lvl up as some other magic class too to keep your mp up unless you don't care it drops to 1 since it doesn't really matter anymore when you use monk skills or draw outs. they don't cost mp and you can get mp from equips to cast holy once.
my stats are really high actually. my agrais has like...i think like....76 str or something....and like max hp without any equipments meaning i can just give her equips with special effects.
her speed is like 25 and with haste, so she gets 100 CT in exactly 2 ticks compared to enemies that require about 6 or 7 ticks. she can literally solo the whole game blindfolded.

and yeah, i'll definitely get disgaea. i can get it as low as like 32 bucks on ebay brand new and shipping included. :kukuku

i also just found out xenosaga is 3 parts long >.>
...and i only have episode one...and harbor absolutely no intention of buying episode 2 or 3, which really lessens my desire to play it.

Since she's worked really well with the weird experiments, I guess this is just one new experiment to try out. So disgaea is finally at a reasonable price now? That's definitely a good thing. As for Xenosaga....you're not really missing much if you don't play the other two. The second game was just boring. They tried to tweak the battle system making things so cumbersome and the new art direction wasn't as impressive as they said it was. Couple it with the same ol long ass cinema thing and you have a game that I sometimes wish I spent playing something else. 3 is good though. While the system allows for a sometimes too easy experience, the story is really well put together. And to its merit the system is still really fun. But yeah you're still not missing anything by not playing them. They still pale in comparison to Xenogears....second disk aside.

My ps didn't even play around when it died. It just flat died. No upside down, no random shut downs, just "no I don't feel like working for you anymore, get a ps2." Same with my dreamcast....though when it died I just got another one for 10 bucks.

well, you lvl up as a mime, and down as a dancer. in like 3 or 4 cycles, your hp and power will shoot shoot through the roof, but at the same time, your mp will end up pathetic and your speed will decrease slighly. very slightly since every class other than thief and ninja have the same speed growth. you'd probably end up losing 1 point in speed.
if all the stat growth thing is too much of a pain for you, you can just do the lvlup as mime/down as dancer thing a few times until you're satisfied with your magic attack power, then you can switch to just lvling up as ninja/down as dancer to ensure none of your stats ever decrease except for magic attack power very slightly since it also is the same growth rate for every class except the mime.
these are the growth rates for each class. the lower the numeric value, the higher the growth rate. if you check, only thieves and ninjas have better speed growth and only the mime has magic attack growth. but remember, you should always lvl down to lvl 1, but that doesn't mean you should bother to hit 99 again as each lvl will have diminishing returns in terms of % growth. i usually just lvl up/down from 1-60ish.

i don't know humpy. playing only part 1 of a whole trilogy seems kinda retarded. honestly, i don't even really like that main scientist...shion or what's her name's design. i can see myself passing up the game 20 minutes into it.

I'll commit to the intricate stat growth since it will be worth while at the end. I'm just worried about my character getting totally raped when she's level 1 and has to fight level 90+ characters....unless I can just keep her surrounded by strong teammates and have her fight them.

possibly so....though I had something that let me play imports on my ps, so after it died I couldn't play any of the imports I had until last year :arg. No Cham Cham playing for that long was maddening. I couldn't even play metal slug.

O ya dead rising needed an achievement from the game and to get one of them you need to play the game basically 14 hours straight i died roughly 12 in i was upset! guh capcom made it rough to get the 5 day survival and 7 day survial acheivements in dead rising just because limited health items etc!

i think i am going to get some water and something for this headache, i did take some before i went to the party but i need more its been over 6 hours.

lol, 97-99 are the 2 least beneficial lvls xD
it's because of the formula for stat growth, the closer the level to 1, the greater the benefits.
and you don't have to worry about surviving. just get one of your 99s, take off any dodge/counter reactions, unequip your lvl 1 char, and let your lvl 1 hit that lvl 99 character instead. give your lvl 1 char the exp-up ability too. it'll make things faster.

i think it's more the idea that aeris knew and didn't care, while the others were simply powerless to do anything. oftentimes, i would wish it was cid or cait sith there in place of aeris though. her great gospel is the most broken skill ever.

Cait Sith was completely useless and I do wish it was him instead of Aeris...though..meh I never really held any loyalties to any of the characters, but Cid was a freaking monster. Good strength and decent speed as well, and when equipped correctly he was pretty much better than pre-omnislash/ultima weapon cloud....at least I thought so.

What?...wait what? What fake gamer said some stupid nonsense like that? This is why I hate talking RPGs in that section. All of them are fake RPG fans whose first rpg was either 7 or 8, and it's not that I look down on that, but when they only play those and skip the older ones and say that the newer ones are better due to 30 minute summons, I lose respect for them. O ya dead rising needed an achievement from the game and to get one of them you need to play the game basically 14 hours straight i died roughly 12 in i was upset! guh capcom made it rough to get the 5 day survival and 7 day survial acheivements in dead rising just because limited health items etc!
what do you get with that achievement anyway?

All of them are fake RPG fans whose first rpg was either 7 or 8, and it's not that I look down on that, but when they only play those and skip the older ones and say that the newer ones are better due to 30 minute summons, I lose respect for them. Cid?! Cid was uber though. Cait Sith was completely useless and I do wish it was him instead of Aeris...though..meh I never really held any loyalties to any of the characters, but Cid was a freaking monster. Good strength and decent speed as well, and when equipped correctly he was pretty much better than pre-omnislash/ultima weapon cloud....at least I thought so.

i never knew he was uber though. i mostly relied on magic to just blow everything out of my way. physical attacks weren't really that useful until the end. alexander+mp absorb gets you through a good portion of the game. and by the end, cloud and tifa can easily outdamage cid. meanwhile yuffie's the vs-all champ, so there's really no room for cid in the end.

Pretty much. Not that there's anything wrong with the era that one started in, but it's so sad that people immediately flock towards what's easier nowadays. The challenge aspect is almost gone and now everyone wants a new gimmick instead, and what's a better gimmick than offering shinier and shinier games. Prime example is god of war. Not that it's a bad game, but it's just way too easy, and most flock to it because of how flashy it is. When hard mode is like an hour longer than normal mode, then there's a problem.

I can't mess with Rtype. I usually stick to the vertical shmups, and when I go to the horrizontal ones like rtype, I usually play either Gradus/parodius, twinbi and the darius series. But in the end I still stick to the vertical ones due to the different smup philosophies. Speaking of which, if you look in my sig you'll see a new project I'm working on for the game department. Going pretty slow right now though.

well he did have a woman who was too good for him considering she put up with all of his crap after saving his life, but didn't tell him so he wouldn't feel like a jerk....though when Cid found out he did feel bad, but let's forget about that. What's really important are his stats. The guy was a powerhouse. Good defense, good strength, and while his magic wasn't the best, it definitely wasn't something to scoff at. He was easily better than Barret cait sith, and possibly vincent...well I'm not sure about vincent. I have to look at his stats again. But anyway his magic was...let's say average, and he had the best limit break in the game that could kill bosses with one hit. Cloud's omnislash could do that as well, but the totals still added up to Cid's favor when both of their strength stats were maxed. I'm telling you he was a strong fighter and he didn't really slack with magic....though I didn't really get into him until my 3rd play through.

I'm ashamed to admit that I didn't get Alexander until my 3rd or 4th play through :(

Hmmm Well I would say it's both of the the artists' styles, but there are a few characters with long hair that isn't spikey like Ukyo, Nakoruru, Kyoshiro, Genjuro, Charlotte, Sogetsu, Mizuki and a few I forget, but there are just so many characters that have short and long spikey hair as well. It's hard to say. I have seen some fan art with Cham Cham's hair not as spikey, but that's just fan art. Pretty much all of the official art is spikey. As for anime suggestions, well I think Roy would back me up with Ippo as a good one. School Rumble's a good comedy, though it's a high school anime, the same goes for Harui. Basilisk is a nice short one. A ninja series it is. There's Fate Stay Night which is another decent series. Death Note, Ghost in the shell stand alone complex (both seasons are good), flame of recca is a bit old but still good, Hellsing's just kickass, and now they have 3 OVAs out with a third coming in april. Scrapped Princess and Read or die were okay. Blood+ is another good series. Baki's good for a decent laugh after the story and fights get repetitive.

but if they care about the number of neg reps they receive relative to positive reps, then there's nothing anyone should bother to do, because the number of neg reps is representative of what portion of the active members think you're a moron. this in my opinion is the far more important role of neg reps. the reason for a neg rep in this case doesn't really matter because it ultimately portrays the neg repper's feelings towards your post or your actions..or well..just you in general, be it out of hate, misunderstanding, or just plain stupidity.
of course, does this mean neg rep is a bad thing? god no. NF is crawling with immature idiots who can't even understand simple concepts, thus a neg rep can easily be good or bad depending on the reasons.
if you get a neg rep for what you believe to be right, then laugh it off and move on; you win. if you believe a sincere neg rep commenter may be right, then you can change and be that better person. the system could actually help to improve the members if people didn't have such a negative view on negs.
my stupid analogy: it's the same way artists work. a compliment(pos rep)"you're awesome" helps boost morale, while a critique(neg rep) helps to improve the artists' works by pointing out flaws. both are important. what's not necessary is a stupid critique(unreasonable neg rep) which doesn't help at all, or a forced compliment(pos rep spamming) which would only serve to hinder the artists' progress by covering up the flaws.

i'd elaborate some more, but i feel like i'm talking waaaaaay too much. especially on a subject i hardly give a damn about. gotta say though, it's amusing to watch people cry about it, why? because i get to neg rep them in the end.

uh, i think the spikey hair is more annoying actually. i'd have to drawn more defined cluster of spikes rather than a single batch of long flowing/curly hair.

A couple of times a year we have the chance to hear some of the greatest pieces of music from videogames, performed live by a full orchestra. Yes, we have a home grown gaming orchestra of our very own, but what's impressive about Eminence is that it's about more than just bringing videogame scores to the masses - it's about a love of the medium, and a drive to showcase the exemplary work done by videogame composers.

While Video Games Live and Play are now well known around the world, back when the Eminence Orchestra formed in October 2003 (initially under the name InfinityBlue), they truly were breaking new ground. The founder of Eminence, and its first violinist, Hiroaki Yura wasn't even sure there was a market for videogame concerts, but was determined to see how a crowd would respond to some of his favourite pieces. After plastering Sydney with posters, the first concert - A Night in Fantasia - drew 1800 people, and Yura knew that there was an audience.

Today we have a very special download for IGN Insiders. Eminence has given us a recording of a new arrangement from composer Yasunori Mitsuda of Radical Dreamers from Chrono Cross. The original was for a single guitar and voice, but when Mitsuda came out for "Passion" - a series of concerts Eminence performed in December 2006, he rearranged it for violin and double dubbed guitar, and they recorded it, with Hiroaki Yura on violin and Zane Banks on guitar. i don't think the adoption center had talking wolves up for adoption. they guy didn't even seem to have legs. it's like he's this floating fetus that has the unique ability to impregnate anything. good thing i hated him anyways. that damn floating beastiality freak of nature.

uh, i think the spikey hair is more annoying actually. i'd have to drawn more defined cluster of spikes rather than a single batch of long flowing/curly hair.

i watched d-grayman for a while, but that damn sissy allen walker pisses me off half as much as emiya from fate staynight did...and that's a LOT. instead of wanting to hang him upside down while killing him so he doen't faint while dying and is awake to feel every moment of unbearable pain like how i wanna kill emiya, i just want him dead nice and easy. oh and linali lost her hair and turned mad ugly :S
Yikes. I didn't think anyone could hate Emiya so much. I will say that allen walker was annoying as well, but it passed after a while. Especially when miranda showed up. She has to be my absolute favorite. So much so that when Linali lost her hair and became a useless bald lady, I didn't really care that her looks fell apart since miranda was so much better anyway.

I am lisening to radical dreamers but its done by an orchestra was posted up on ign insider not to long ago i should upload it for you all.
I've never listened to orchestrated versions too much besides the FF8 orchestrated ost, but if it's there I may give it a listen to.

Seems so backwards to me. I guess it's because they think the nonsensical plot makes them feel like they're playing a smarter game when they're not. Or maybe it's the music. As for the custom rank, just make sure to ask more than one so you get a reply. I tried to get my name color changed to normal and it just never happened.

ya i know i have to really study more on systems programming only class this sem thats giving me trouble. I can do it so got to keep trying ( damn mid term was bad :( ) so ya no vodka until i graduate and get my first degree in may!

ya the CC fans i really do not know why they like it. Some talk about the 50 characters , I say 3/4 of them have like no backstory or nothing there pointless. Some say that the main character talks more or what not than chrono. I'm like SO? Someone brought up the music and im like well CT was on a cart and for back then that music was gold and the same guy did it so I thought they were equal.

Someone said the endings were better in CC than CT this was my look :huh < the peoples eyebrow. The real ending in CC was so disappointing i was about to through the playstation out the window. Serioulsy especially on how you have to get it I mean you can easily mess up that setup to achieve the real ending.

Yeah don't let the midterm get you down. You just use it as a form of motivation regardless of the grade because you know there's more to come anyway.

As for CC, you pretty much explained the flaws in their arguments. The music in CT, even though it was on a cart, was still comparable to CC because they utilized all they could on that cart and due to that they came up with a soundtrack that was better than most PS and beyond osts anyway. The sounds meshed together so well that it didn't matter if real instruments were used or not. It's the overall sound, not the fact of whether it's a string instrument or not, because if the composition on the bleeps or synths are better than what a band can do, then it is what it is. I will say tha CC is a masterpiece though. But to just say it's better than CT because it's on a PS and they can use real guitars just shows how little depth they have when it comes to what a game actually is. How it's the soul that's put into the game no matter what platform it's on that makes it or breaks it. Geeze "gamers" really suck nowadays.

And CT had more endings than CC....and more endings that not only were funnier, but were just more entertaining than CC's endings.

I agree , this is one reason why i disliked talking about old games to gamers who started on the N64/PS1 days, well not all people but most some people. Ah well hopefully it will change but i doubt it , i am hoping for it though with the VC on Wii and Xbox live arcade etc, sales for them have been great and makes me feel happy that alot of people still appreicate the old games and can look for what they are and not for what they could be with newer tech.

Well I know the VC and the xbox arcade sales are doing okay, but I wonder if it's just due to people fulfilling nostalgia for a few seconds, or new gamers just taking a look at them as some form of mini game....kinda like how geezers feel when people played galaga as a load screen game for tekken 1 :laugh. But yeah it's really annoying talking about games to people who didn't play them during the era. Though it's mostly in younger gamers, it's more to do with most people turning into graphics whores than anything else. There are a few Ps1 era gamers who look at a game for a game though. Just that since most started playing games when people started to harp on the graphics more than anything else, they're bound to make it a first priority.

meh...can't really say. sharp long spikey hair's rather fake no matter how i look at it. and yeah, those tablets would sure be handy, not just for drawing, but coloring too. they're pressure-sensitive, so you can make the hair much better and faster with one. i'm not about to pay several hundred bucks for one though considering i only draw 3-4 times a year.

The funny thing is what people considered to be so much better...they were really flat models with faces pasted onto them. People didn't really have a modeled face until the dreamcast came out besides the games that had super deformed characters like mario.

it was actually her first appearance that sealed the deal for me. She was easily the funniest one out of all of them and had so much more personality than everyone else who seemed to be taken from some book of cliched anime characters. Too bad she doesn't have much if any fan art :(

Well remember that if you repped yesterday then it will count for today if 24 hours didn't pass fully. That's why I usually wait a day then rep when I want to manage how many I have. Kira can't be safe for long.

yeah, no kidding. i've had a few instances when a damn innocent kept screwing up my perfect run through a certain level. 3 was definitely awesome, but i thought 4 was actually pretty cool too. it didn't have rikimaru, instead they replaced him with rin, which was a major blow to the game. the good thing was tenchu 4 was quite a bit faster though. the worst tenchu is definitely the new one on the DS though. from what i hear, you can't even stealth kill in that game, which is really what the whole series is about....stealth killing. taking that away from tenchu is like taking away ninjas from naruto. it's nothing left.

Hmmm 4 was playable, but constant glitches like being seen through a wall, and the fact that the detector was rather jumpy as well kinda killed things. Besides the opening and the last stage, the music was lacking as well (which was odd since the Tenchu series have really good soundtracks). Then again, that was nothing a bit of being extra careful couldn't fix. I beat the game, but I still can't find out how to take some alternate paths in the game. As for Tenchu DS....are you serious? No stealth kills?! That's the main part of the game. In fact the series usually puts so much focus on improving upon the system in each game, and now it's gone? I guess I'll stay away from that one.

Hmmm 4 was playable, but constant glitches like being seen through a wall, and the fact that the detector was rather jumpy as well kinda killed things. Besides the opening and the last stage, the music was lacking as well (which was odd since the Tenchu series have really good soundtracks). Then again, that was nothing a bit of being extra careful couldn't fix. I beat the game, but I still can't find out how to take some alternate paths in the game. probably so since I did notice that the bosses had a bit more depth to them, though it still came down to slash, dodge, slash, dodge in the end. I wonder if they'll make another Tenchu....on a regular platform and not as some hand held side show or something. And if they do, they should have tatsumaru as a secret playable character or something....yeah him and that other guy...I think it was Onikage.

Well I won't deny the fact that he was quite tough since it was hard to get in when dodging, and when staying so close to try and get a counter attack he'd be able to get quick hits in with his damn dashing slash. I usually try to use exploding shuriken on him and if I miss, I try to lure him to where it stuck and detonate it.

Ummm don't you think it'd be safer to go the conventional way then?...I don't know how well he'd know of lavos and whatnot, unless you're creating your own mythology.

While it was being developed, they said there would be an improvement in the combat system where you'd be able to deal with multiple enemies much easier with some certain technique. Actually the egg factor really helps...you know, the whole chicken and the egg thing. It was actually the egg...the um...egg of time. Yeah the egg of time or the "Chrono Trigger" hatched and started everything. Then work in your sun stone and moon stone thing, and we have a winner here.

I think you are right about the CT tangent thing though. The conversations here are the proof. Too bad no one likes to really look into things anymore

I got a test in that class in 5 days so these next five days I will try my best to pass it ( I need at least a C and Programming is not my fortae plus the teacher is not good ) Cannot wait for summer!

WEll the 3 b's I would not call bare reqs. the C well actually the lowest you could get is a D.

But that class really does not mean to much in terms of my networking job its one of those filling class positions that they require you to take. Sucks but O well my two A's in both networking classes will make up for it.

After finishing production of Chrono Trigger Unglued: Episode 13 ( http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/375493 ), I decided to see if anyone had been talking about it through a google search (convinced that I wouldn't find anyone). Lo and behold, to my suprise, there was a discussion of it in a Chrono themed thread at a Naruto Forum of all places. I will first take a moment to answer some of the acient questions:

Cryo left because he is, and I say this out of all due respect for the man, horrible with Flash. When he was animating in Flash it would take him forever to accomplish anything, and if he made an error along the way he would often end up having to restart the entire scene from scratch as he knew almost nothing about flash debugging. Thus while he loved writing scripts, the process of animating continued to drag on him more and more (and in the name of the fact he is my friend, I will not describe for you his action script knowledge). In fact, the only reason he kept animating beyond episode 1 was popular reaction from fans (and episode 1 only got put online because a roomate who saw it told him he had to upload it). Episode 1 was created purely as an experiment in learning flash. However, what Cryo learned over the course of 10 and 1/4 episodes (the percentage of Episode 11 that was done before he gave up on it) was that he did not like working with Flash. I, however, who was a forum regular at the time did like working with Flash and asked if I could have it. Due to both having seen first hand my animation abilties, and having read much of my writing, he decided to agree.

The original plan had been for us to work together, but Cryo more or less fell off the internet shortly after I put up the completed Episode 11 (if you find Cryo, please return him to our lost and found). Episode 12 took time as I redid all the sprites Cryo originally prepared for the series so that the quality would be consistantly high with the ones I was custom making at that time. Episode 13 got caught up in the fact I recently graduated and have, at the moment, had very little luck with finding a new job. I would very much like to get episodes 14 and 15 (if not also 16) done before the end of this year. Flash is not hard for me, but I can be a bit of a procrastinating whore at times (reminders do wonders for me).

As someone mentioned, the official site is http://www.ultrapublications.com/CTU which is more together now than it was in the past. Other official places to look for the series include my DeviantArt page and my Newgrounds page. While ChronoCompendium did interview me at one point, they are actually not the official place for it. We believe they made their own page for it by copying episodes from the ultrapublications site (at the moment they still do not yet have episode 13). However, as this is the ultimate english speakling hub for all things Chrono Trigger I have decided to let this permission issue slide.

If anyone else has any other questions/comments, I will be returning to look at this thread again to answer them.

Much of what Cryo saw that impressed him were some tech demos for a class which I no longer have (I lost much some unimportant stuff in a laptop death, but I always back everything of CTU up like it was a religion of sorts). I do have one major notable thing completed other than CTU, but I warn you that it dates back to 2003. You would think that under normal circrumstances that would be how such visits would be viewed, but there is a sizable group out there that is convinced that I have utterly ruined CTU and have intentionally turned it into something against Cryo's wishes and that Cryo would actually return the series to it's holy origins except that I'm blocking him from making more with some sort of blackmail. Yes, I know that sounds insane. It's most annoying when they claim that parts I wrote which were funny were clearly the few remnants of Cryo's old script that I'm 'leaching off of', and then blame a part Cryo wrote that I included from the incomplete legacy script for this part of the story as something I clearly shoe-horned into his devine vision if they didn't find it funny.

It's true, I created the game Marathon and there are some references to Marathon after I joined. Cryo wrote most of them (he liked the game, if he didn't I probably wouldn't be here at all).

As for more gifts, how would you all like to hear an early recording of the Gaspar Narrator opening for the next episode when Dan finishes recording it (he's already been sent the script for it)?

Plus, there's something you could all help me with since the fact you're at this forum suggests you might be experts on the matter. As you have all probably noticed, the credits since I joined have been based on the opening to Paranoia Agent. After Crono gets to the future I intend to replace this with a parody of the first opening to Bleach. Over time I will replace the credits every now and then with parodies to other anime openings. I was wondering if there was a particularly good one from Naruto to parody (or at least that you'd all most like to see at some point).

I love the song Fighting Dreamers, but it bothers me that someone already did a full blown sprite reanimation of that opening using sprites from the Naruto GBA games and there are a lot of people out there that seem to be Nazis about only one person ever being allowed to do something. Some went as far as to claim that there was zero work involved in the Benny Hill sequence merely because so many others had done something similar in flash before me. Then again, as those people are predisposed to hate me no matter what I should probably just animate what I like and not even think about the fact that they will be against it.

By the way, which song is the second opening song to Naruto (I am not the most Naruto saavy person around, sorry)?

Okay, let's see which ones I can remember:

Episodes 1 - 3 Have No Secret Scene

Episode 4: Click all the Hidden Mugs

Episode 5: Collect the two necessary items and given them to Banta, I believe.

Episode 6-7: I forget where, but I know there is one.

Episode 8: You have to click the right book on the bookshelf while looking for a poition for Frog in the interactive scene. It'll let you know when it's the right one.

Episode 9: Right Click and Zoom in to the read the message outside Yakra's door yourself, it'll tell you what to do in the room Marle reappears in.

Episode 10: Click the balloon in one of the courtroom flashbacks

In Episodes 11 and Up you must return to the main menu after unlocking the scene without right clicking and selecting restart (in otherwords, let the episode play all of the way), the message at the end of the credits won't change if you actually unlocked it or not. Once back at the menu you'll be allowed to select the secret scene from the menu select.

Episode 11: This one is tricky. You have to click the power pellet after it stops bouncing, but before Pac-Man and the Ghost Appear

Episode 12: Click the Treasure chest during the interactive scene.

Episode 13: During Fritz's Flashback, click on the front door to Ultra Publications.

Does that help?

I currently only have episodes 11 through 13 stored locally on my computer (the ones I made myself), and dialup makes watching older episodes a pain. However, my webmaster is burning me a CD and sending all the older episodes to me that way. When I have rewatched 6 and 7 I will post their secret scene solutions here as well for you.

I really love the paranoia agent ending (and was gonna try to make an avy and sig from it at one point before getting frustrated since I couldn't put it in a format to be able to do it), and It's really odd that people would be pissed off at you adding more quality, and not taking anything away from the overall feel. As you can see though, there is a split in opinion, and there will always be assholes who feel that a change in any way will kill a series no matter the circumstances. To tell you the truth though, I didn't even know that there was a change in makers until I read that interview you had. I just thought the added ending was Cyro adding in more stuff.

- Er, no... Sorry... I can see how you got confused with me throwing opening and ending around left and right in the same paragraph... I want to parody a Naruto OPENING (but I'll be placing that parody at the END of CTU episodes)! So far I've gotten one vote for Fighting Dreamers from Wesley.
Oops...I should pay a bit more attention. If the 3rd opening (I don't know the title of the opening, but the song was called "Kanashimi wo Yasashisa Ni") could be done, then that'd really be cool. That was my favorite.

Well my teacher told me that it'd be a good idea to visit Japan and possibly live there for a while if I ever got the chance, so after I graduated, I looked for a job, and left. No grand reasons really, but I guess it was a good move considering I've never really left where I was from before. It's cool though because the secretary at one of the schools I work for is a big Chrono Trigger fan so we usually talk about the game while playing cards when we get the chance...though she usually kicks my ass in cards >.>

The submitted pic is rather good. A bit on the bright side, but I probably only think that because most of the Chrono Cross art is really shaded looking and whatnot and since this isn't the official art it doesn't really have to be dark anyway.

well yeah. she was definitely cooler than aya and definitely my favorite character in tenjou tenge, but i'm not big on drawing her. i'd feel like....kira if i drew her in a school uniform given her oversized boobs and extra short skirt.

er, i guess you're referring to the anime, humpy. in the manga, both natsuki and mai had a major crush on yuuichi tate. he actually played some role in the manga other than standing around on the sidelines.
it was only through their feelings for him or something that allowed them to summon their respective Childs. (cuz you know...to have a child, you kinda need a man and a woman...usually intimate)
besides, i'm fairly certain she didn't have any love interest in the anime, rather it was all 1 sided from the guys.

it's kinda like black cat manga/anime different. the overall story is the same, but tons of changes. i guess the anime guys didn't like yuuichi or something so instead they let some minor character get lucky peeks at natsuki. xD
the ending was definitely a bit corny though, as usual when it gets really intimate. they do this like...trio attack thingamajig or whatnot with a super bigass sword. meh, my memory's kinda fuzzy on this. ssj probably knows.

well my professor always used slides, so the whole room would be dark as hell. almost too dark to even takes notes, so sleeping just came naturally to a good lot of us :sweatdrop

That reminds me of the first psychology class I took. It was a 9:45am class on a saturday (mind you it took me 2 hours to get to school and that's considering when the ferry ran regularly), and the teacher would show a lot of movies for some reason to try and enhance her lecture (she was a grad school student so I guess she was trying to develop something new). Add the fact that on fridays I would usually come home from work at 3am, and that was a formula for me falling asleep in class. It would usually consist of me getting to class early due to the boat running in a way that I'd either be really early if I caught it or really late if I caught the next boat, then falling asleep until class started, and sometimes waking up in the middle of class, then falling asleep again after our weekly quiz and when she showed a clip. I still don't know how I passed that class with a B.
