Way to long up to a few hours when I'm backing things up. Like for the post on summons.

Since I have all of the manga downloaded, I have both volume summaries and chapter summaries within the volume folders. It allows me to locate specific information relatively quickly, as opposed to having to read through the entire manga again. I also have a vague idea of everything that's happened in the manga, so I know what to look for.

But getting all those links up is still time-consuming. -.-;;

If you're interested though, I can (try to find a way to) pass on the summaries to you, if you think you'd find them helpful.

The second owner (MH's brother actually) got banned from the pc. Erm, how should I put this... I was born in Beijing, China (Chinese mother, Belgian father), then I went to Hongkong, then I went to Bangkok, Thailand, then I went to Sao Paulo, Brazil, then I went to Madrid, Spain, then I went back to China (Beijing -> Shanghai -> Beijing), then I went to France (Paris -> Rennes) for part of my studies, with my parents still in China, and now I'm back in China.

For helping me learn, my mom just gave me a bunch of not-so-simple things to translate. I started out at a speed of 500 words a day with most of the time spent over the dictionary. >.> Now, a month later, for the simpler documents I can translate nearly 3000 words a day if I'm concentrated. :D It feels great.

I'm preparing to take the mid-level Chinese test for foreigners in December (there aren't any sooner :huh), then next year I'll take the high-level test (geez, there isn't one sooner either. >_< ).

I'm also trying to read Sunzi's Art of War in Chinese. :D It's a bilingual edition: it has Chinese on one half, and English on the other. Actually, it has "old" Chinese and "normal" Chinese on one half, and English on the other. I have to use the dictionary a lot, but it's fun at least. :amuse

2 years? So at what point are you at now?

For helping me learn, my mom just gave me a bunch of not-so-simple things to translate. I started out at a speed of 500 words a day with most of the time spent over the dictionary. >.> Now, a month later, for the simpler documents I can translate nearly 3000 words a day if I'm concentrated. :D It feels great.

I'm preparing to take the mid-level Chinese test for foreigners in December (there aren't any sooner :huh), then next year I'll take the high-level test (geez, there isn't one sooner either. >_< ).

I'm also trying to read Sunzi's Art of War in Chinese. :D It's a bilingual edition: it has Chinese on one half, and English on the other. Actually, it has "old" Chinese and "normal" Chinese on one half, and English on the other. I have to use the dictionary a lot, but it's fun at least. :amuse


No, I'm going very slow, I'm in a bilingual class so that means Chinese kindergardeners are better than me. I did learn to speak Cantonese before I could speak English though.

That's actually debatable. She was born in Beijing, mostly mandarin, however she was then moved to Hong Kong, Cantonese friendly, but in general it is more known to uhh...know mandarin. I think I remember my parents sayign that nowadays if you're in Guangzhou and only Cantonese, you're considered stupid or something, I dunno, but apparently back in the day (50's) people who lived in the south were picked on for speaking mandarin or something, I don't know, maybe my parents are senile.

No there is no real language, there are like fifty something, but my bet is on mandarin.

I was either 4 or 5 when my Grandmother had me watch "Jaws",

Scared me so bad I went on to watch just about every horror movie I could find. A year later I had watched all the slashers and my parents became worried I would start impersonating them so wouldn't let me watch anymore..............but not long after I got my first TV :P

That is from the Romance of the 3 Kingdoms.
It refers to one of Chao Chao's generals getting shot in the eye.
After pulling the arrow out of his eye, he proclaimed to the heavens that any part of his body are from his parents so how could he allow it to be just thrown away(or something to that effect) and proceeded to swallow it.

I've recently discovered that on one channel, they've started showing the Naruto anime. They cut off the entire Harem no Jutsu scene! :rofl :lmao Of course that meant that the scene made no sense at all. :blink

Eh. We here in Beijing were supposed to get a nice big hurricane about half a month back. Apparently it was supposed to be the biggest in 10 years, even the airport was closed, and all the workers went home early to barricade their homes. Then we all waited.

Apparently, at the last moment, the hurricane decided that Beijing wasn't worth the visit (or the paperwork headache), so it went to visit Korea instead. :oh Smart hurricane. So all we got was a dribble.

Of course, in anticipation of floods, some wise-guy official had decided to let out part of the water in the water reservoirs. But since the rain never came, Beijing ended up with a water shortage. Whoot. :oh

Simple as that.

In real life while most of my friends are guys, my best friend is a girl.
While around guys, we all tend to be all rough and egoistical about things so when we have an arguments or debates it tends to decend into an orgy of fist and kicks. Of course we just laugh about it later, we are guys after all.

But with a female friend arguments actually seem, i dunno, real i think. Instead of fist we have facts thrown around. Actually i dont even mind losing because the argument was so stimulating and fun that winning isn't even the issue anymore.
And since ur post tend to make think like the above i came to the said conclusion.
