I hate how that chick with the short madded white hair with the single dreadlock looks exactly like a sad dude with boobs. It's disgusting. Tite didn't include any facial feature that would normally identify a person as a woman in manga, like eyelashes or lip gleams.

I also hate the anime. The style and the music is terribly corny and drowns the artistic uniquness and "hipness" Tite originally developed into the series.

I hate it that about 15 graphic novels took place in soul society, because it's an incredibly boring place. The characters were cool, but the fact that you never found a setting other than a barren rocky plain or a deserted complex of modest old-style japanese houses made my eyes glass over.

That's about it. Everything else is awesome.

*phew* I'm not the only one who hates that song.

I like the show and all, but it's just a mix of weapon fighting, DBZ, and Yuyu Hakusho. I mean, come on... Ichigo narrowly beats Ikkaku, then narrowly beats Renji, then narrowly beats Kenpachi. You can't -narrowly- beat three people of significantly different levels. Then when Bankai was mentioned, it really sucked. And then there's the fact that Ichigo said that he was the least worried about Chad, and Chad's defeated in about 5 minutes.

But at least all of the major characters were only slightly traumitized as kids. Unlike Naruto, where all of the major characters are orphans, and either hated by everyone or saw everyone they trusted get slaughtered in front of them.

I like that Bleach is not only about on Ichigo and I can count episodes where he rarely appears or doesn't appear at all.I like the previews for the next episode too.:smile-big

I don't think I hate anything yet from Bleach at all.Until now its quite perfect for my taste.I got annoyed from Naruto after some things that happened on episodes 52+ so maybe Bleach is still early to say for someone that really hates something on it.:huh

Hmmm... I guess I would start with the title and how it came about. Nirvarna is cool and everything but that is not original man! No double episodes (this is not much of a bad thing cause after all if it had double episodes we would be getting filler arcs right now). Too many characters too fast. Speaking in an anime standpoint. There have just been too many characters introduced quickly and early. Sort of like my problem with Naruto. We got the people going why isn't so and so shown more. A real sword fight has yet to be truly shown well in the anime. It's all power attacks.

Maybe it's just different tastes, but that's what I love about Bleach and what drew me into Naruto. I thought both Bleach and Naruto were just alright in the beginning, back when Ichigo was fighting Hollows and Naruto was in the Wave Country against Zabuza. I didn't fall in love with either series until we began to see all the captains and lieutenants of Soul Society and all the genins in the chuunin tournament.

How the hell can anyone hate the "I fucking own you" song? When it comes on, we KNOW something badass is gonna happen. Thats why it is the most godly song.

But the song itself isn't very good for those moments. It's way too upbeat and corny.

The only time I can think of where I thought that song was played well was in episode 10, when Kanonji was helping Ichigo fight that green Hollow. Kanonji was spouting some really cheesy lines and just generally being funny, so it fit that particular scene pretty well.

I really don't like some of the seiyuu for the Bleach anime. And sometimes the anime art is sub-par, but that can only be expected (I don't think Kubo's artwork translates well to anime).

The other thing that bothers me is that there are no real boundaries to what can be done, The Bleach universe isnt detailed enough... so any absurd powerup cant be denied because "nobody said they couldn't do X"

AS absurdly fast as Ichigo becomes powerful, the rest of the cast doesnt stand a chance, and just get reduced to comedy bits.

actually naruto is differnt in the characters (while powerful) still conform to a hierarchy of power that means that they are not instantly amung the most powerful in the story.

sorry. i actually have few complaints with bleach. and actually think the anime is better than the manga because of awesom pacing and plot organization (no random mood breaking flash backs in the middle of an intense fast passed battle, for example)

there are a load of plot holes in the story and the combat system is very basic but its still a fun show.

Yeah...that song does BLOW. When Ichigo first unleashed Zangetsu, I was expecting to hear "on the precipiece of defeat" (like how mystical it sounds) like when he actually found his soulslayer in the box. First of all, i don't think the fights are predictable. It's the opposite actually. As for Ichigo, it was entirely intentional. Meaning that the readers were SUPPOSED to notice that Ichigo was growing unreasonably fast. All to shock us with the reason why he was growing so fast at the end of the SS arc.

Weak point of bleach imo is the music. And that nobody dies.

The music is one part of the anime that links the person watching the anime to what is going on or about to happen. They did a terrible job with the music, must be why i never really got into the anime until after episode 50, before that all the episodes I really didnt like.

I really love the Bleach anime.

Only things I can think off the top of my head are:

-The fact that Ichigo stopped Sougyoku, which has the destructive power of 1,000,000 zanpakutous, with 1 zanpakutou (sp?)
-NO ONE (other than Aizen, who died for the plot) dies
-The anime skipped a lot of awesome manga scenes
-Bankai in 3 days is ridiculous considering it took the best in Soul Society a decade or more
-Karakura Superhero filler (though Don Kanon'ji is awesome)
-Ends of fights can be dull at times. (A lot of fights are cool at first but their endings can be weak when they're won by simple power-ups (albeit cool ones) for nearly all of them =/)

Well he does have someone who heals him... compared to Naruto and his demonic healing... (in reference to the "berserk healing rate.")

Ichigo is too powerful regardless of how "special" he may be, and while he hasn't fought for a while yet in the anime, they should focus on his friends and Ishida somewhat. Instead he's basically the only one who gets a power up and a major fight. While the rest were all minor aside from Ishida's quick fight which could still be considered very minor compared to Ichigo's fight. Basically it seems they've been tossed aside, while it's good they are focusing on other Shinigami fights lately, they should at least focus on them somewhat.

I'm only at epi 37 so I avoid most spoilers....but for what I've seen, there's one thing I didn't like:

The second fight between Ichigo and Renji at the Court of Pure Souls, and Renji is pwning and cutting Ichigo half to pieces and than, bleeding out of every pore from his body Ichigo gets up again, pooring more blood with every move. Bleach may be even better than naruto IMO. Deathgods are just a useful way to portray what Kubo wants. He wants to demonstrate how various personlaities fight each other and how the strongest one will come out on top.

Another problem I had when I was first watching it was that I couldn't really develop any kind of connection with the characters. It's been a while since I've watched the first few episodes, so I can't exactly recall what I didn't like about them, but I usually can't watch an anime if it doesn't grab my interest quickly. I probably will go back and give Bleach a more conscientious effort but I have a lot of other animes that take up my time.

Another thing...now I might be completely wrong(and I probably am), but when I glance over at my brother's screen while he's watching Bleach, I get the feeling that there's too many battles and boring verbal confrontations instead of character development. I really need the latter for me to get interested in an anime. I know there's a reason why Bleach is so popular, and I do plan on giving it another shot some time.

There's indeed alot of fighting going around, but they all make you think. The first arc of bleach seems very typical and normal and i think this was done on purpose. It's when the second arc beegins and ends do you realize how deep this series actually is. The first arc was probably used to mislead the readers about the true nature of bleach.

One word of advice when you decide to read bleach. Be very aware of the details. What might seem innocent often has a deeper motivation behind it.

Ugh, I totally hate that stupid battle music with the 'Ooh' and the 'Ouu' and all the 'Whoaa, whoaa whoaaaaa's. It's nice to know I'm not the only one who wants to die when that BGM starts playing. It's just awful.

There's also this grainy, washed-out quality in the animation when they do dark/night scenes. I also wished the episodes had actual titles since Kubo's manga chapter titles are so cool :3

I think you'd actually have to sit down and watch the series to note the character development, it's not something you can just catch by glancing every so often. Kubo's characters, well atleast the central characters in story are all very complex. At first glance they seem to fit the stereotypical Anime character archetypes, but Kubo's known for going against convention.

When you look at Orihime you can dismiss her as some large-breasted ditz but she's actually a very sincere and very perceptive (atleast when it comes to Ichigo) character. She is very kind, gentle, and selfless and though her type of character is not one that usually appeals to me, she's shown that she's more than comic relief or 'the big breasted girl.'

Then there's Ishida who started off as a Shinigami-hating, tight-ass, very aloof and pretentious. Since then, he's been able to come out from his shell and has started interacting with other people, developing genuine concerns for them. He's become a social being, capable of establishing friendships, even with his once hated Shinigami.

There's also Renji who came off as a complete jackass when he was introduced, and his character has pretty much taken a complete 180. We understand what his relationship is with Rukia, their childhood and their past together, as well as his motivations as a Shinigami. Just look at how the dynamics of his relationship with Ichigo has totally changed o_o;

Also, when we were first introduced to Rukia she was a stubborn, hard-ass, the very opposite of fragility, but when she was taken back to Soul Society we were able to see a completely different side of her- calm and broken down and with the exposure of her past, she's become a very well-rounded character, perhaps the most well-rounded character in the series.

and if you continue watching the series, other characters and their developments will absolutely floor you. Bleach isn't just about fighting, sure it's an integral part of the series, but the character's aren't by any means static.

But yea, in the end it doesnt really involve that much strategy, tactics and jutsus(by that I mean any non physical attacks like Shikai kidouattacks and Kidou) yes, but not strategies.
I guess it does make sense that personality is more important than strats though.

Mayuri VS Ishida was the best fight so far IMAO (these two episodes (43,44 i think, rocked) episode 60 come close to. Maryuri played with Ishida during all that time except at the end with the remove glove power up that make Ishida more powerfull than Muyari even with is bankai. For the rest yeah always the same power up again and again. Renji vs bayuka had little startegies in it but the issue was more about power up anyway. That why Naruto is better in term of fighting.

The Ikkaku fight had a little bit of strategy, but the fight was even really a fight, it probably lasted like 5 minutes real-time, tops. I want to see a fight were someone has to think their way towards beating a stronger opponent.

Ganju never actualy fought Yumichika either, he just ran away using tricks to buy time and in the end managed to get away.

We're talking about actual characters dying, the 36 only made appearances as corpses. A character who has actually been in more than 1 episode would have some meaning. If you want to measure maturity by the deaths of meaningless characters, then count all the random ninja bodies we see in Naruto like when Kabuto killed the ANBU. Those poor faceless ANBU.

I mean, come on... Ichigo narrowly beats Ikkaku, then narrowly beats Renji, then narrowly beats Kenpachi. You can't -narrowly- beat three people of significantly different levels. Then when Bankai was mentioned, it really sucked

well ikkaku and renji weren't that far off in ability. what, 1 rank? as for kenpachi, sure he managed to somehow beat him, but he didn't even think he'd won. so it's not like the people he fought were that drastically different, and it's not like Tite made him pwn everyone. are you telling me that annialating everyone would've been more believable? that and ichigo developed quite a bit between and during each fight. (for example, when ken-chan tells him he's not putting enough spirit into his zenpaktou, which is why he can't cut him....)
as for his bankai, he learned it in a matter of days. once again,it would've been ridiculous to have him completely master it in that short amount of time. that and the author probably made it so there are things to write about and develop as the story progresses. :) sorry, never mind. i shouldn't be arguing with your opinion. lol

not sure, but i think like lots of gratuitous death and stuff qualifies it as a higher rating. like it's one thing to mention "36 people died" ina show. it's another to have one character visibly slashing 36 characters to death onscreen...something like that. maybe that's what he was trying to say....maybe not, i'm just speculating. haha oh well who cares?:P

in terms of the strategy thing, we have to stop comparing it to naruto. naruto is about (mostly) human ninjas who have to rely greatly on tactics. that's what they have ninja school for. bleach is about death gods, and spirits. i would be kinda bummed if the fighting wasn't really based on soul power and stuff. thats not to say that there shouldn't be any strategy, but it just means that it's its own show. smile-big

I mean after 160+ episodes u expect Naruto to be mature or what? but hes still a noob, all ways the first one to lose his cool and do something stupid and then become vulnerable to the enemy for an attack. I even read Naruto manga, after 3 years for training I had a vision for Naruto.

Lets me give an example. we'll go with the old damsel in distress scenario. Sakura is in trouble, gonna get stabbed or w/e... the n *BAM* Naruto steps in, uber badass etc etc shes like "Naruto! :O 0mgzwtfbbq u doing here??"

He'll have a mean look on his face, his eyes will show a path covered in blood, but when I read the manga he already gets punched in the face like old times. >_< Man thats the difference between Ichigo and Naruto. Naruto just isnt serious, he needs more hatred and needs to be more cunning. Like Itachi or someone :D I admit the anime isnt mature, and aimed to younger teens so of course the main character would be dopey, goofy etc but I think a change in Naruto will be sooo memorable to viewers - cuz we're all used to him being the village idiot.

*sigh* so thats why I like the fact that ichigo is atleast pwning more than naruto. and yeah theres still plenty of character devolpment, episode 62 - just just mastered his Bankai (or did he?) prolly not cuz theres room for improvement (like he can learn new awesome shit)

Not to bring up another Dragon Ball Z comparison but what I hated about that anime is what I worry about bleach. In DBZ you have krillin, yamcha, tien, and many others that were far above the level of any ordinary fighters, but at some point in the show it didn't matter they all became useless. Even piccolo who was still pretty badass was nothing but a spectator by the shows end.

I fear bleach will have Chad, and Ino as spectators pretty soon despite their amazing abilities. Ishida seems to be the piccolo of this series, hopefully these characters will still have some use.

1.Orihime got to go to soul society but Tatsuki didn't. I think shes a much more exiting character and would have had a much better power than faries(which was just far too random for me when it first came up in the manga o_0)

2.Things get left unresolved/explained for too long. The visards have dissapeared, Ishidas dissapeard, I dont understan Tousen etc. I hate how Kubo makes a big point about something and then seems to abandon it for like 50 chapters -_-

3. Like most people have said not enough deaths. Hinamori surviving especially annoyed me and maybe Renji should have snuffed it to by now(even if I'd miss him ;_;). Mind you its the same with alot of shounen series like with Neji and Chouji in Naruto.

4.I find myself getting very bored with the fights in bleach. I'm always wishing theyd finish sooner so I can get some answers to all the unresolved questions >.< As apposed to something like one piece wher I really enjoy the fights. Mabe I'm just not a sword fight fan^^;

Can't really think of anything else. I love the series for the most part, especially Kubos art and how generouse he is with fanservice for the ladies smile-big I also really like the characters and their relationships with each other and the humorous moments.

I love Bleach with a passion. (That sounded more otaku than I intended.....^_^) It's gotten to the point that even the things that used to annoy me have become things I like. Example I used to hate that "Number One" song like everybody else, but by the time it played in the fateful episode 54 I was like "I love this song!" XD And I love the artistic blood spurts. I even love the long conversations during fights because it gives us more insight about the plot and characters.
I guess the only things I don't like at this point are...
-Those two subordinates of Ukitake. Can't remember their names, but they pop up once in a while and are supposed to be comic relief, I guess, only it just comes off as annoying to me
-Orihime. Not her character, just how useless she is at this point. (She fights with fairies. Fairies.)
-Like many others have said, I wish an important character would just die already. I mean, yeah there were the 39 (?) important peeps who got slaughtered, but it's not like we came to know them individually and watched them die. As much as I like him, if Kenpatchi died after his fight with Ichigo that would've been really dramatic. Or if Hinamori died getting stabbed by Aizen, that would've been cool too.

One thing I dislike about Bleach is that everyone does a cool pose behind the enemies's back after slashing them. Byakuya did it to Ichigo, Zaraki did it to Ichigo, Byakuya did it to Renji (although he failed), Aizen did it to Hitsugaya and Renji and so on....

Huge gap in power levels, so some characters who were cool before, become useless. Like Chad and Orihime, everyone fight against hollows, OK. Then in Soul Society they are weak compared to shinigami (well, Chad could be at least 6th seat in squad I guess). And now they introduce more vaizards like Ichigo, and I bet Chad and Orihime (and Rukia, Renji, others) will be useless characters here, because vaizards are stronger than regular shinigamis right? So it's likely we won't see Chad or Orihime getting other powers...


I like the sound tracks though, they're all good, except "dreamer" thing or w/e in Bounto fillers.

LACK OF DEATHS- Honistly this is the only thing that i can't stand about this series. Some characters could of gone out with such a bang if they died, and deaths would bring way more emotion into the story.

Filler OST- such a terrible amount of songs, only one or two are good.

Lack of good characters- Kon especially, at the beggining he had quite abit of screen time, but now he's just pushed to the side. I really want more character development from him. This goes for others aswell.

Also the fanservice Kubo is doing with some characters. For example Rukia. From getting pwned by nearly everyone she kills an high ranked 2 digit Arrancar in one attack. That doesnt make much sense to me.

Another example would be Kenpachi. First he had a draw with Shikai Ichigo and then he had no problem defeating a captain and keep up with another one.

A thing that also bugs me is that new characters are getting introduced and we dont find out anything about them. Their past, their strength, their personality etc. This applies to SS captains, Vaizards, Ryuuken, Isshin, Urahara, Espadas. I can only guess that this will be saved up for the winter war, but imo the appearance of new characters should stop. We first need to find out something more about the "old" characters.
