Is his sword unique? I saw in the Kimmimaro flashback that we his clan was fight against the mist nins the mist nins all had huge swords like Zabuza. So what makes his sword special? I not sure but I think his sword has its own name like Kisame's Samahada.

lol, the comment and question room can be misleading. This doesn't really belong here.
Samehada:
- Can devour chakra, it acts like its alive by the movements. (anime)
- Does not cut, but shaves.
- Has its own unique name
Probably some others, but I can't think of it atm.

Zabuza was a member of the 7 mist Swordsman. It could be theorized that there are 6 other swords (including Samehada). But Swords like Zabuzas actually existed, they were for killing horses. So it is possible more swords that are like Zabuzas are used in the seriesm

His membership is debateable. All we know is that he was the demon of the hidden mist which would be a good enough reason for one the 7 strongest in the Mist(Kisame) to know of him.

His membership was confirmed in the second databook, I believe. His sword also has a name (I don't remember it) but from the looks of it, there were no special abilities.

It was? Hmm...excellent, that means I can restart my fanclub...can someone double check though? It wasn't in leafninja.com so I'd like to be certain before I make a false assumption again.

To be exact it's (Kyodai na) Kubikiri Houchou ((巨大な)首斬り包丁) "(Enormous) Decapitating Kitchen Knife" ^^

It was definitly confirmed, I once found it and circled it in red to post it here, I forget where tho.
It has its own name because of Zabuza's skill with it, not because it is really special. Similar to how some people name their gun nowadays.

The hole in the blade realy makes it look like a cleaver doesn't it?

Zabuza sword isn't really that special, it's the fact that he uses it to make him self famous and powerful enough to be one of the former 7 mist swordsmen

I think Kisame is really cool.. But his sword is SO LAME, I mean.. a giant chunk of scales that is suppose to scrub and wear away chakra? and.. probably cause one mean rash.. It woulda been neater if it were.. seraded or something..
Oh, and the reaaall horse slaying swords were a LOT smaller .. but at the same time more and less useable, The more usable ones are more like spears with extra long blades, like a naginata with 3-4 foot blade but then there are reeetarded swords with blades about 4-5 feet long, and looks just like a thin long katana, so more like 8 foot long, and it was incredibly impractical and most likely would've broke.. I don't think it was ever used, but made like a novelty joke, like that one large novelty rifle in the top of the lower penninsula in Michigan, the rifle is about 40 feet long, and the inside of the barrel is like 2-3 feet wide.. looks kinda like a shotgun

One think I can't understood is why he is so good at silent assasination with that sword. Sure it weigths a ton, so hard to make silent moves and to be stealthy...

Must be another one of those "rule's of anime" :)
