What type of female character do you prefer [Archive]

Since i always kinda wondered which female character type was the most prefered for the readers, i decided to make this.

tsundere

Shy character (i don't know if there was a word for it)

Other (don't really know if there is another but option open :))

I choose the tsundere, my favorite female characters are always the tsundere
Ryoko (techi muyo)
Revy (Black lagoon) (she's a kuudere)
Sakura (naruto)
Tsunade (naruto)
Nami (one piece)

Well you get the point.

Only Tsundere I like are Rin from Fate/Stay night and Akiha from Tsukihime
I also like the patriotic type of female/lady of war type like Signum from Nanoha
I don't mind the kind and warm type as long as it's not annoying
Kuudere like Riza Hawkeye are nice too.

really both work, but it's really all about the rest of the cast

Shy girl alone usually get boring, but have an energic tsundere add to a cast with lots of energic characters already can become annoying.

a good Tsundere character is great, but really it's a bit much just saying tsundere vs shy girl since there should be more kind of girls.

Horo from Spice and Wolf rule the show with her character, and this way Tsundere can be great

In some other series you got the Tsundere being the loud mouth instead and that's more annoying in most cases than a shy girl

if memories serve me right Tsundere isn't= tomboy
rather it's girl's taking the initiative or caring girls that make a tough font, though that does fit on lots of tomboys to

I remember once seeing a scale done by someone in 5 steps with the kind that get intoxicated by you to the one that turn you into a slave

Guess we can say it's about how dominating they are in relationships

Tsundere and shy girl types are ok as long as they aren't purely defined by that archetype. When it gets poured on heavily that is when a character will start annoying me.

I enjoy whatever category Nico Robin is. Kurokami Medaka is the first Mary Sue I enjoy because she is full of contradictions and actually laments that "Mary Sue" status.

Except Crona from Soul Eater but it isn't really a girl and there's something else to its character than just shyness

how would you describe boa hancock from one piece?

tsundere to everybody except luffy? on the other hand she never showed any form of week side except when its about luffy. kinda split personality^^

first time hearing of kuudere. they can be pretty appealing.

dunno... characters like Eureka from E7, Lenalee from DGM, Sakura from FSN (not really from the manga, rather the game), Kohaku from Tsukihime, Ciel from Tsukihime as well;

dont have a term, sweet girls with tragic backgrounds...

yandere should be good too, but I hardly know any;

Pretty much any of the females in FMA are a great example of awesome female characters. I also like how the women in Claymore are portrayed as well. So I guess women that can hold their own that aren't just bitches?

I like the strong, mature type who doesn't act bitchy (Nico Robin for example).

I dislike tsunderes with a passion since most of them act like total bitches in order to project an illusion of toughness.

As far as shy girls go, I like some and dislike others.
