Well, I am going to check out Wrath's manga guide, I liek it and I will try and make a version like that. Of course, I'll give credit Wrath.

Don't worry, I have an idea. For One piece beginnners. I might make thread for beginners to start togather and do like a volume or two a week and discuss in a thread. I will just have to ask a staff member if it would be okay to do.

^Unfortunately, One Piece fandom isn't THAT big on this website.

While it's unfortunate, because One Piece owns the world, 95% of the people here only watch Naruto and Bleach.

Perhaps it is the length. People don't like reading. It baffles me.

Not enough fans? Perhaps because it is tucked away that fans don't show their preciation? I do admit the manga has it's kiddie moments, but it just rocks all around.

As for introducing new people, we should have a comprehensive guide on how to obtain the manga. Null is offering volume DL's on mIRC. Tutoring using screencaps of mIRC should be easy, and the DL's on mIRC increase your speed by a factor of 5. Plus, they's almost always been high quality.

It's a manga about pirates..
Every time I watching/reading it I always remembering all the movies and storyies about pirates that I read when I was a child.
And there so much humor in it..

True, that I was, sometimes, dissapointed about the series (like the Foxy arc) and didn't followed them for month, or two, but recen events returned my love to OP.

Also.. OP section is buried so deep.. I think we would have more "interested ones" here if OP section was somewhere where you can see it from the "index" page.. Not nessecary section, but like part of the section..
Like "Konoha Library" is part of "Naruto Avenue"..

Actually.. I always found it strange, that "Konoha Library Floor 2" doesn't have it's own section..

I actually do think its the length that deters some fans, I decided to read OP after seeing people talk about it and seeing plenty of nice sigs with OP art in them. I was lucky that i had a free week, if not I think the length might have put me off. The art style was nothing that bothered me and its got better and better as the series has progressed imo.

maybe we should go on a crusade to convert people on this forum to one piece!

I've been crusading like hell over at MangaHelpers, the result being an own section, another HQ scanlating team, and several new translators and cleaners/scanlators. ^__^

i found that some people cannot read the manga as well as the naruto manga because there is too much to read and it hard to understand where things start and end. for me the more easy to read manag is one piece. it it filled with detail and nothing is left out. that is what makes it a great manga and anime to watch.

Naruto is much harder to understand, imo.

In Naruto, there's a life-force inside your body, which must be summoned with a combination of hand movements, so that you can summon material or ekstra speed/strength, and each character brings in a new variation of using the life force.

In OP, you eat a fruit, and your body gets altered.



What is more complex in OP is the lengthy backstory of each character..

I don't think a forum like Naruto and Bleach would work. The fanbase here isn't as big as Naruto and Bleach. People get turned off by the amount of chapters; even though the chapters are the length of Naruto's chapters.

I actually started reading One Piece, a two years back; when it was around 250 chapters. At the time, I wasn't a manga scan reader as I am now, I bought the volumes at the bookstore and awaited until the next volumes were published. One Piece is easy to understand, some people make it look complicated with there long as and desriptive posts. All you really have to know, is how are the main characters there abilities, a bit of there backround, some of there attacks and who they beat/lost too.

at least this forum has regular posters, and cool people at that. i tend to think the discussions on this forum are much more civil, and the people more cool. there are some serious pricks on most of the other subforums, but not this one.
