Alright, you're probably tired of seeing ads for Naruto RPs, but bear with us.

So me and a couple of friends decided we were going to put together a Naruto RP without the bullshit. Without eye lasers, without every third angsty girl having a demon inside her, without 12039 Uchihas, without the stuff that made Naruto RPing just bad.

We've got an active moderation staff, a plot in the works, and all manner of other good stuff (like, people actually playing most of the canon characters).

But be warned. This is not an RP for the stupid. While we're not going to be anal about enforcing post length (unless we find it necessary) or anything, we do demand quality and the ability to write the English language well, as well as an understanding of what fits in Naruto (like, if you use Kenshin as a character picture, you'll be slashed brutally). We have mocked that which we feel is stupid, and we will continue such.

You're without a doubt the worst goddamn roleplayer I've seen in over a decade of roleplaying and nearly half a decade of online roleplaying. You can't make a decent character, you can't even form a decent sentence.

I've seen you roleplay Haruno Sakura on the old roleplaying board Shinobi Grave, and you decided to have her slit her wrists with broken mirror shards because Sasuke didn't love her.

You also roleplayed on another board where you were going to blow up the world with a 30-minute jutsu.


The bottom line is that you're not good enough to be on our site and we all hate you.

The only reason we let you apply was to make fun of you. I don't know about you, but that was pretty fun.

Furthermore, the "Go kill yourself" quote was not an admin. The entire staff knows the person who was disapproved as Sakura, and until you've had the history with her as we have, I think it's best if you don't fret over it.

The "I've seen you roleplay Sakura..." quote is also entirely true, and I largely don't see why it reflects poorly on the site if a member is disapproved to play Sakura for not understanding that Sakura will not slit her wrists because Sasuke didn't like her.

Also, the 'banned momentarily' person was later unbanned and approved.

Thanks for showing that you have no understanding of our site, and seem to be trashing it to merely have some fun on your own part.

It's already been stated that we're quite serious that we expect at least some quality from the members and no less. If you don't think you're capable of that, don't join. We give everyone one fair shot, and will attempt to help if you're not up to our standards but aren't defiant about it (see the Tenshiko profile for an example) but after that, all bets are off.

On that note, if you would look at all the 'Professional' sites, such as Narutofan, you'll notice they have strict rules about bans and suspensions for different variations of offences. It is painless, but as stated above, not only from looking at your site and the humiliating manner you prosent, you guys do not only ban someone but ridicule them by bashing there threads and re-typing up there own posts without there knowing.

It is a quite sick practice actually, but only for people who really enjoy seeing drama and expressing there power over members.

Alright, now that we're done calling each other names it's time to clear up some of the actual confusion here. We didn't advertise here to start a flame war, we're actually looking for members, and there are a couple of things mentioned here that might turn people off.

Confusion the first: We flame all our members.

Wrong. The fact that all your quotes are taken from the Hall of Shame pretty much says it all here. You did find a couple of examples where we used the word "fuck" pretty liberally when referring to some of our members, but I'm going to say here and now that it was completely justified.

First guy: Destroyed two forums by using a stolen admin password to delete all their boards.

Second guy: We have a personal history with him, and let's just say it's back and forth.

Third guy who's actually a girl: Roleplayed a half-angel and blew up the world on two separate forums, caused us a lot of grief on a forum we used to be on. Is the dumbest person in the universe.

Confusion the second: The site is 'less-controlled'.

I think you just shot yourself in the foot there. Yeah, we're not very restrictive regarding what our members can and cannot do, and here's why: As we've allready mentioned, we cater mainly to roleplayers above a certain level, and that means we think they're capable of not being unrealistic without any number of rules, numbers and statistics weighing them down. It's a free-form experiment, if you will.

Confusion the third: Posting funny things in the news fader makes us stupid.

It's a young site, come on. We don't really have that much to put up there anyway, and a couple of disco lyrics for a cheap laugh aren't hurting anyone.

Confusion the fourth: We make gay jokes.

Well, I....well, uh.....Yeah. Yeah, I guess we do.

I'd also like to take a moment and offer a brief explanation as to why I use a rather harsh approach when dealing with the other members of the forum.

If we're going for the exceptionally short one, it's because I'm an asshole.

If you have more than seven or eight seconds with which to peruse this thread, then here it is:

I have quite a bit of experience as a moderator for various forums. Most of these forums were incredibly lenient when it came to quality of workmanship. It is without even the slightest exaggeration that I say they allowed single, misspelled sentences as entire in-character posts. This always made me a little upset because I, along with quite a few others, always tried to put forth decent product so as to further immerse ourselves in the universe. In short, they ruined the roleplaying experience and I was allowed to say absolutely nothing about it because the administrators wanted all members to feel welcome and wanted.

That's when I started trying positive encouragement. I offered various polite tips and asked that they do as little as copy their posts into a word processor with a spell checker before posting so that, at the very least, we did not have to decipher what they wrote. On one particular forum, I spent hours poring over their posts so that I could get an idea of which mistakes, grammatically, they made most often so as to help them improve. For all my hard work, it didn't accomplish anything. They felt that they were good enough, and without being able to tell them how truly awful their material was by order of the administration, I was forced to sit idly by while my desire to roleplay dwindled to nothing.

If you have more than seven or eight seconds with which to peruse this thread, then here it is:

I have quite a bit of experience as a moderator for various forums. Most of these forums were incredibly lenient when it came to quality of workmanship. It is without even the slightest exaggeration that I say they allowed single, misspelled sentences as entire in-character posts. This always made me a little upset because I, along with quite a few others, always tried to put forth decent product so as to further immerse ourselves in the universe. In short, they ruined the roleplaying experience and I was allowed to say absolutely nothing about it because the administrators wanted all members to feel welcome and wanted.

That's when I started trying positive encouragement. I offered various polite tips and asked that they do as little as copy their posts into a word processor with a spell checker before posting so that, at the very least, we did not have to decipher what they wrote. On one particular forum, I spent hours poring over their posts so that I could get an idea of which mistakes, grammatically, they made most often so as to help them improve. For all my hard work, it didn't accomplish anything. They felt that they were good enough, and without being able to tell them how truly awful their material was by order of the administration, I was forced to sit idly by while my desire to roleplay dwindled to nothing.

Why is it immature for people with less than 50 posts to leave negative reps? They may not have an effect on your actual reputation, but it can still let you know that they disliked the post and why.

So you only read one paragraph of the many he posted, but are going to try to reply to it? If you're interested in continuing the discussion in any sensible form, the reasonable thing to do is to read the arguments coming from the other side before you try to dismiss them.

I'll freely admit that the Kuchiba members were not without fault in the argument, but we tend to give as we are given, and we were immediately met with false accusations (a fabricated quote), ridicule, and name-calling.

We understand that not everyone will like the site, and that's fine. However, when people go out of their way to belittle a site (for whatever reason) that we merely wanted to advertise to like-minded individuals, it should be no surprise when they are met with similar hostility.

I am currently attempting to join this said site.
My first application got horribly shot down and when i say horribly i mean it.
The mod roleplaying Lee was rude and aggresive.
Ha more or less said i sucked.
And while it pissed me off at the begining funny thing is he was right, he called it as he saw it.
Is it his fault my application sucked?
No it was my mine and i concur with his opinion of it.
I am currently writing a new application which i should post up in a day or 2.
If it gets shot down again i will merely try again.
They want quality so when i am approved i will know i earned.
So i dont really think there is anything wrong with what they do.
Though i do admit that the said mod did not offer any support, as in i didn't really know where it sucked so i could improve on it.
But i think i could live with that.

See it are the small, but yet, simple acts, that make very large impressions upon people close to you."

There are many other ways- there are about a million and a half Naruto RPs on the internet right now. Four, at least, are even advertised on our site alone. All someone who is denied by us has to do is click twice and find a new, more accepting RP. It's not like by shooting them down we suddenly prevent them from RPing Naruto as a whole.

Think of it this way- many people would consider football to be fun. However, they don't just let any Jack Johnson onto the field to toss the pigskin around in the NFL. They selectively find and recruit the best, so that the games can be bigger, more entertaining, and ultimately, more fun. This is no different, except that we don't make seven figures a year. Yet.

1) I wasn't talking about you in the first place. You obviously didn't read my post very closely.

2) Character registration is still not RP. We take it more seriously than the General board, mostly, but there's no reason why it can't be fun and goofy. So long as the original profile is not tampered with, there's no harm, no foul.

All these paragraphs mean the exact same thing, which is why I shall not put forth the slightest effort to read your huge colabs of nothingness.

All arguing aside, I'd like to point out that neither of you responded to my earlier polite request, so I'd like to ask it again. Why post here? You've already said your piece and then some, and at this point we're just cycling around the same arguments over and over. We understand that you have a dislike for the site, and that's fine.

However, other people don't, and we'd really appreciate it if you left this thread in peace. Your comments have not gone unnoticed, and it's not like they'll be deleted. However, at this point, you seem to have nothing to gain from posting aside from attempting to defame a site for no other reason than the enjoyment of tormenting others.

So, here it is. Please. We've read and responded to all you've said, and you've responded to all we've said, so at this point we're just arguing in circles. We would leave the thread, except it is ours. So please just do us all a favor and kindly stop clicking on the thread, or at the very least refrain from replying to it.

We don't want to have a giant flame war on this forum. However, despite all our reasonable attempts to end the argument, we're generally ignored and flamed in succession. End the cycle. Stop the hate. Don't do drugs. All that good stuff.

Actually, believe it or not, NarutoFan is not the first (nor the last) forum we've advertised on to cry "hay ur mean to ur members" and "lol u swear a lots."

It is, however, the first forum that won't seem to drop it.

As for the thread, it was created by a member because he felt like making it. He was sick of seeing other sites try to rip apart the forum without knowing what it was about, and so he did his best to give his perspective on the issue. I think that carries more weight than any thread made by one of the mods or admin. And that is also why it was stickied- it is a thread for the members to provide their voice to the argument. As people who went to this supposedly despicable site, who still go to this site, and who seem to enjoy themselves, who better to speak for it?

The point is, no matter how bad you people seem to think it looks, there are a number of people who frequent the site, who enjoy RPing there, who support most of the mod and admin's actions, and who wouldn't trade it for anything else.

There are many other ways- there are about a million and a half Naruto RPs on the internet right now. Four, at least, are even advertised on our site alone. All someone who is denied by us has to do is click twice and find a new, more accepting RP. It's not like by shooting them down we suddenly prevent them from RPing Naruto as a whole.

In-justice is rewarded with Un-just judgement. Bottom line, you treat everyone like crap, your site looks like crap.
