Seems that my top 2 favorite manga get zero respect(Tenjou Tenge and Air Gear).

Anyways, a new scanlation group has come in and released 24 - 28 recently while SnoopyCool just released 25 - 28 in one pack. Seems to me that they were getting worried about new competition and decided to outdo them...

Kinda a little too late IMO.

For those who don't know, Ikki is making his own A-T team and it seems like we'll get more action over the last few chapters which were just all talk. Next release should be good.

And about what you said on TenTen and Air Gear yeah I agree the problem I've been having with TenTen is that is trying to have a "deep" storyline but it's just not working out very well at least for me it isn't. The storyline is also too slow the past arc took longer than it really needed to and the tournament still hasn't happen wasn't that suppose to happen in one month since back in volume 5 lol. :laugh

Don't get me wrong I don't hate Tengo Tenge just it just feels it moving too slow to move on with the story. BTW Oh! Great has taken a break from TenTen for a month maybe his taken a break with Air Gear as well?

But if what you say about it being one of the top 10 selling manga is true, then I think it's pretty safe to say that it hasn't been canned...

I juts discovered this manga and it's great. It's from the same guy who draw tenjho tenge but the drawing is more clean and the girls are still hot and sexy. There's plenty of action in it (if you like tenjho tenge, then this is your next manga). I DL them at manga crystal nova but they only have it to chap 28, do you know where I can find other chapters of it?

I tried reading this series but I really couldnt get into it at all.
Ikki and all the other characters seem pretty dull and unorginal, and the fact the plot revolves around kids fucking around with special skates seems pretty dull as well. I dont see how any big plot arcs can appear from that.

Can anyone tell me something that makes it worth reading?

It's supplementary reading, Kimimaro Sama. Somethin' to read in between our Hunter X Hunters, our Bleaches, our Ippos, and our Narutos. There's not much to it besides the fantastic O!G art, and comedy. Like I said a few pages back, O!G isn't all that good at telling a story. AG kind of works out because there's not much of a story to tell. S'all about style and fanservice.

Doesn't change much from what's been scanslated so far. If you haven't been even mildly entertained with what you've read so far, trash it. ;-l

Just started reading it a week ago and already caught up. Well art is good as expected from Oh! Great... I also found some moments quite funny, especially during and after the whole Agito vs. Bulls match.... though one thing I'm not liking is the cliche "Fighting" -> "Not Fighting." (well it's usually some killer suddenly saying they'll never kill). I thought it would be all fine and dandy when they were owning the Sabrecats simply for having the school as their territory but Ringo just has to step in and from there.... bleh. So I guess I shouldn't expect much air trek fighting from Ikki... but then again, that's not the point of the series...

S'all about style and fanservice.
Yeah I gathered the fanservice bit from reading the first chapter. Any author who has all the female characters suddenly go "let's all have a bath together!" so he can show them nakedl in the first chapter seems like the fan-service type.
I'll agree about the style bit, it did seem fairly swishy. But in a tame kinda way.

Nope nothing yet hope it's done by a good studio Madhouse has been losing steam because they do too much anime now that they can't keep up with the good animation for the stuff that they animate. sigh if only Bones would do Air Gear but they don't do stuff of that genre. :notrust

When I first saw an issue of Air Gear, I was shocked because of the - well, weirdness?. A person there got bald because he's not aware that his hair is being cut. And the characters are quite scary.

I too have very low expectations for the AG anime. After taking a look at the TenTen anime, I just came to the conclusion that O!G's style simply cannot be reproduced in anime form, unless it's being backed by a huge budget.

No, they're around. Lurk just isn't bothering to host them. They had the v12 tank scans on there for a while, and just took 'em off. It's a good thing that I managed to spot it on there as soon as they put it up, because they took it off not too long after.

So, I got the raw scans of up to v12(Chapters 96-104), and then Chapters 109-114, and 122(which was released last week). So I just don't need 115-121, I need 105-108 as well.

If you want any of these raw scans, DEATHwisher, I'll upload 'em for you.

Yeah, it wasn't what I expected. Tenjou Tenge was alot better animated in my opinion. And for some reason, the anime seems really rushed, I mean, the copguy and Agito / Akito in the first episode? And now Buccha in the second along with the forming of Team Kogarasumaru? All too fast in my opinion. :oh

And yes, that's one of the things they screwed around with. By switching around all of these events and seemingly saying little to nothing about his "strongest of the east" title(which probably doesn't even exist anymore, seeing how so many other things were changed up), they made him seem like a lil' helpless kid... The voice didn't help either.

the anime was bad... really bad. the art quality was really, really cheap. they skipped virtually everything, basically like 25 chapters in 1 episode. I didn't even know what was going on and I read all the manga.

I first downloaded chap.1 just because it was a OhGreat! manga, i got tottaly hooked into it lol

I'm so glad I got my ass on irc and downloaded Air Gear finally. Read scanlated 1-60 yesterday and some of the raw volumes and chapters, including the latest one. The art quality is just...wow. I suppose it's the style, too. After reading, the anime is crap in comparison, as I was expecting. Still like the op song and the ed is really growing on me despite the totally disjointed lyrics.

Ikki is one complete spaz of a main character, huh? I guess he won't be taking his clothes off that much in the anime. If at all. I stayed away from Air Gear before...since being a girl, panty shots and other ecchi stuff isn't really my cup of tea. But it isn't really that extreme and the cool outfits make up for any over-exposure of breasts anyway. The girls look awesome when they're fighting too, lack of clothes or not. And there's Agito/Akito. I would happily read through much worse for them.

I had quite a lot of questions after browsing the raws, but there's one which stands out from volume 12...

Does anyone know why Akito agreed to get in that frilly wedding dress thing and for what purpose? o_o

looking at the raws, it seems that the guy who fucked up Sora, "Stone King" or w/e is still part of Ringo's Sleeping Forest. and it also seems that Ringo and her team are against what Simca is doing, whatever that is.

i've never been a huge fan of Ringo but all her actions as of the lastest raws dont make me view in a very favourable light at all. hopefully the translations will be out soon to clear things up... Ringo is right now the only character i am actually starting to hate :(

Some information that was posted at StopTazmo, of all places, by an individual with the handle whatever181 (http://www.stoptazmo.com/member.php?u=7708).

volume 9-10:
after the big battle with behemoth, behemoth is disbanded, akira was taken away and rejoined the Wind special unit (u know, the police guys, agito/akito's brother...) Kogarasumaru thus has possession of the fang regalia...In these 2 volume, we are also introduced to the lightning king and his abilities...and oh yeah, Shimuka got a cute hair-cut too!! A massive turns of event led to shimuka deciding to let Ikki be the leader to the huge A.T organisation she built up with her own hands, the GENESIS (chinese translation said GENESYS, wonder why...), which has a total of 4 kings and abt 400 members, at the end of the volume... (note that they just wanted ikki to be the leader...ikki is of course still in Kogarasumaru)

volume 11:
shocked and confused all meshed into one, ikki ponders about whether to accepts the role. After much hesitation, he takes it but with conditions attached (of which i wont mention here...) Anyway, the next target of kogarasumaru is to get to "B" class and in this volume, they battled with an "interesting" E-class team... (although a sucky one) After that battle, they head to Kyoto in order to gain acceptance of the team "Trident", which is under GENESIS and the team the "Road king(?)" is in, for ikki to be the leader. Coincidently, there's a school trip and then entire class went along...

volume 12 and above:
it seems "Trident" is not as simple as one might think...using different methods, the road king, leader of "Trident", tested ikki's abilities (which suck)...After witnessing it, the road king challenges ikki to a match of "devil 33" (again not to spoil u guys with the details)...Ikki failed at first, but after many trials, he managed to get through it using his grasps of the wing road... Amazing feat actually, since he managed to do it with an injured knee and still wearing the handy anchor, not to mention in front of hundreds/thousands spectators over the net...lol (Although it is a match, we see that the road king is more like trying to train ikki in using his wing road...)

the next couple of chapters are where "tuners" (not sure what they are gonna be called in english yet) are introduced...they are a group of people with the ability to tune (hence then name) kings to their respective regalias so that they are able to bring out 100% of their potential (surprising method of tuning!! Hint: its Oh great! what do you expect...) And we are also introduced to ikki's future tuner and ringo's tuner, Kanon... (there seems to be a trangle between kanon, ringo and ikki...)

btw, ikki ended up in the hospital coz of his injured knee and Sora is also in there coz he was attacked by someone in sleeping forest, for fear that he might assist in the making of a new sky king... Their special training thus begun in the hospital (Hint: something to do with panties...). Kazu is then left temporarily in-charge of Kogarasumaru and the team has to try and get to "B" class... Some cool shit about kazu happens during this time...

Oh, and to answer the question why shimuka was in a wheel-chair (dun think its permanent although her A.T skills will be affected), she was also attacked by sleeping forest and the water king's attack does some major damage...Ikki felt guilty coz just before she was attacked, she kinda met up with him and before they parted ikki said some pretty hurtful stuff without any intention of doing so...Thus we see ikki getting angry when he learnt of her plight later...Luckily, his future tuner managed to calm him down, at the same time it was at this moment that this girl decided to be ikki's tuner and re-make/revive the wind regalia...

we are finally enlightened on what happened to the former sleeping forest team for the first time when shimuka regains her consciousness in the hospital after being attacked and are having flashbacks... It would seem that the stone king, Kiriku, betrayed the team in the past. he defeated sora and taken his wheels. Shimuka was then shown to have witnessed these happenings and it would seem that she was a tuner in the past, although it's still unsure of who she is helping to tune. Anyway, we are also shown for the first time that the wind regalia are actually the "Welcome to Nightmare" wheels that ikki has received from the fat old lady in volume 1.

Now, skipping a few chapters ahead, kogarasumaru finally managed to get to "B" class and thus gained the right to enter some kinda door and participate in a competition to the summit of the trophaeum tower where riders all over will be participating in. Later on, a conversation between shimuka and the apparent head of the tuner (who is also a doctor in the hospital) reveals that actually, ikki's knee has long recovered and they are were using it as an excuse to keep him in the hospital. They were saying something that his body in itself is special since during the fall, the impact is actually absorbed by his entire body instead of just his knee. (lol, he's the main character after all..special huh...) Ikki is also shown to have finally completed his special hospital training with sora and is hence discharged from the hospital.

chapter 130 stops at the first night after ikki is discharged and is about the progression of the love triangle between ringo, her tuner and ikki...

Hello, just started reading ag and am curious of the following. Are there any differences betw. the anime and the manga ? I downloaded the first few volumes from Sai's sig and Ikki only saw the wing road against the rez boa dogs(sp) whereas in the anime he saw it while in a battle against the skull saders.

And.... in the anime he had more then one confrontations with the skullsaders but in the manga he probably only had one battle(besides ikki being beaten up)
