Zangief(SF) vs. King(Tekken)

The big powerful Russian Zangief or the Skillful agile King(the first King)

Zangief just seems more powerful even if King isnt a human.

Plus nothing beats when he jumps in the air and pile drives you.

I've had the same problem for about 11 years.

Then again i've never been much of a Zangief person.

I've only pulled it off twice in all my years of playing.

Plus, King's combo which leads to the Romero special is devastating aswell.

I can do all of Zangief's moves. He has some ridiculous counters. He's especially strong in MVC. He also has a better wrestler's build, and he's been acknowledged by Boris Yeltsin. The Russian for the win.

Mind you, I'm no Zangief fan myself, so I choose King for this one, especially seeing as he used to be my main before I switched to Jin in Tekken 3.

i havent played a lot with zangief he has good tricks
but king his trick combo O_O once you know that one i think it takes a way 90% of the oponents life.
and his tiger jump and tomahawk are good
so i go for king

Zangief is big and strong guy but King got advantage over Zangief ,like King can do almost every wrestling move and also some street fight and also have agility as already mention so i go for KING.

I go with Zangief. I mean the man's larger than a bear and that suplex move alone would turn king to paste.

I am the master of zangief's do a double complete circle move and starts with suplex->pile driver-> to bigger pile driver.
Best way is to jump at the guy and start doing it and when you land and they block cause they think it's a jump kick, you just grab their ass.

King's combos are pretty sick if you can pull them off and remember the button sequence, but i like zangief more.

Yeah Armor King was the first King, I shall also vot for King but only becuase I have been beaten by him more.

I think the problem is that King is really a useful character while Zangeif is considered by many to be useless in many situations. Namely that he only has close range attacks and not even those where he can spam it like Blanka, Ehonda, and Chunli, but he has to do it at the right time.

He's only useless if you aren't good.:)

Armor King was NOT the First King.


The First King and Armor King were essentially rivals. When King got the mask, he fought with Armor King. And they fought over the years.

King used all his money for orphans. King eventually died, and Armor King adopted one of the orphans and that orphan became King 2. This is the King through Tekken 2-5, I believe... Or did King die after Tekken 2.... Actually ya, I think King died after Tekken 2.


Armor King had a disease, and eventually got into a barfight with Craig, who killed him.




Tekken 4 King, which is King 2, defeated Craig Marduk. So since the Kings are essentially the same, minus Armor King... It shouldn't matter which we choose.



I say King wins. Because Craig Marduk is as big, if not taller than Zangief is. King juss proves to be way too agile, with mighty power in his small size. So if he could put Marduk in the hospital, I think he could defeat the Slow but mighty Zangief.





EDIT- Ok wait... I think Original King adopted King 2. And when King died, Armor King took over his old rival's son to train him to be the greatest wrestler ever.

That's true, but Zangeif power is doubled, and he has great range with a standing HP or kick since hes a big character.
