I know he'll appear, usually when a character is shown/mentioned at least twice in the manga, they're guaranteed to appear.

I think he will play a vital role. As his databook entry says that he only appears when the world is in a turbulent state. And I think that may be possible given what we're to expect from Nagato, Madara, Sasuke and Naruto.

i actually think that if nagato wont die in the next few chapters,then naruto will be captured.naruto will defeat deva pein,but nagato will be awaken in full strength and will capture naruto.thats my prediction.it makes no sense for naruto who will beat deva to be able to handle nagato right after.and i doubt anyone of the side characters will do it instead.so either he will be dead once deva will be defeated but that whouldnt make any sense since we whouldnt be able to see the rinnegan powers nor discover its mysteries and nagatos as well.the other option which seems more reasonable is that after deva pein will be defeated nagato will reveal himself and capture naruto.

I think the true nature of the Rin'negan's (sp?) power has been hinted (http://www.onemanga.com/Naruto/435/015/)already through the rods.

It's not the Pain jutsu, although that would be a hint, but it would be the manipulation of a person's chakra and the ability to see and manipulate the spiritual component. (human realm)

he is not using pein because he is cripple.
using pein is what made him look like he did.
its all an emotional reason and its related to yahikos death.and its also related to buddhism symbology.he is trapped in an endless circle of pein and suffering(litarally).but he will be freed from it and achieve enlightment.
basicaly he wont stay like he is now.either he will be awaken and freed from his pain(freed from the rods and machine),or he will die but will ascend to the higher 4 realms of existence that represent enlightment and will become a higher being.one of the ways you can acieve that is by changing of world views and thats exectly what naruto will cause him to do.
he is in this state by his choice but he will be freed from it .

On Nagato's condition, I'm prety sure he won't stay like that. His character seems to be based on Buddha, who was skinny just like him until he reached enlightment after meditating under a tree and became fat. Nagato is currently inside a tree, so after he becomes enlightened he might return to normal or become fat.:P

he can still be a villan(though he was never a villan to begin with) if for example he will only be awakened physicaly and on a later fight mentally as well against naruto.or he can become good and go against madara etc...
buddha went through several ettempts to attain true enlightment.so the same can happen here. kishi dosent have to copy it 100%.he can only take the physical awakening for nagato first and only after a long battle with naruto later the full redemption.
either way we will see nagato go through some sort of transformation soon.

I doubt it'll be this week's chapter. About two or thee more chapters probably, so Naruto has time to defeat Deva and Inoichi and co. have time to find him.

Kishi might have only showed Nagato this chapter because mangaka are supposed to show something new every chapter. For example, new techniques and new characters. The whole speech thing was basically a recap of the one in the Jiraiya fight, so Kishi had to introduce something new.

yea.the explosion is much smaller.
thats just shows the pottential of nagato when he'll fight by himself using
his full power.
nagato concentrated all his chakra all at once through deva pein to do shinra tensei.but he still seems like he has an endless chakra at the moment.
i think what hurts him is if he uses the full power of his chakra all at once ,it hurts him physicaly.his body cant handle too much power like this all at once.
and thats what shortens his lifespan.
i cant wait till deva will die and nagato will be awakened.he is the strongest being at the moment without any doubt.to use such as enourmous haxed jutsus through his puppets and is about to use a kinjutsu technique that is supposed to beat KN6 and all of that through his puppets.and we still havent seen what his real body can do nor what the rinnegan can.thats amazing.

My Path of the Pain youth... My young comrades. I come to you in a time of great doubt and unhappiness.

For you who do not know me, I am Lindgren, the creator of the Path of Pain, which have been the prophet of the God, Nagato, from the begining of his birth.

The Path of Pain.
The Path of Pain is the bond shared between Rikudou & Nagato, Nagato is ultimately Rikudou incarnated.

Just as we've gathered on this forum, as part of the life of the Naruto-fandom... So must also be gathered here the entire people of the Path of Pain.

But it was, alas, not always so.

People did not want to understand each other. Each thought only of himself. At best, his fandom alone.

We have been witnesses to the consequences of this aberration of the narutofan spirit. In your youth, you must safeguard the fandom that you possess: The great feeling of comradeship of being a part of the group, called the Path of Pain. If you hold on to this, no power or fandom on the narutofan will be able to take it from you.

You will be one people bound together, as tightly as you are now. As the Path of Pain youth, our only hope is the courage and faith of our members. You, my children are indeed the living guarantee, the living future of the Path of Pain, not an empty idea, not an empty formalism, but an insipid plan. You are the blood of our blood, flesh of our flesh, spirit of our spirit. You are the continuation of our people, of the Path of Pain.

The Uchiha Plague.
The plague of the Uchihas must be exterminated. The bacillus, the constant obsession of power, killing, plotting against, and exploiting, good & honest people must come to an end. Hashirama was on the right track, but concentrating the filth wasn't enough. This bacillus, the Uchiha, is our enemy. We owe it to the people to exterminate this fandom, but...

We DO NOT have the permission to enrich ourselves through mental and 'literatured' ways, because we DO NOT exterminate the bacillus just to become the plagued bacillus ourselves.

"Anyone within the Path of Pain that discard this, will be removed, WITHOUT QUESTION! A few members have done this, they aren't many. Names will not be given, you all know your sins and only Nagato can forgive you."

This of course, was the reason why the admins, in all their shameful forms, dethroned me. We're different from the other fandoms, We do not have their admins, we do not have the opportunities of connections,
possessed by these fandoms and people. Though, it is true that the admins originally wanted us to "tone down", "don't write these kinds threads", "don't stir things up", with an uncompromisable threat:
Disband the path of pain and join with the other fandoms. This of course, was a long time ago, many members have left, many have been banned, many have forgotten because of the discussion and messages have been deleted and removed.

Never, was our response. We cannot change our path, this is the path that we, instinctively, chose. we didn't choose Nagato, Nagato chose us.

"COMPROMISE IS NOT POSSIBLE! If their members want to quit there fandoms and join ours, thats another thing, but our ideals are our ideals and cannot be changed!!".[

In turn, the admins conspired behind me, and removed me from my people. I expected nothing less from the Uchiha scums.

The future of the Path of Pain.
When the path of pain consisted of only three members, it already had the ideals set in stone.

First: The fandom would have a true ideology, not just to support a character.

Second: It would be the sole, uncompromisingly, power of the narutofan-forums.

As the infiltration of the admins ranks started(I will not mention any names, due to some are still within the ranks, I reveal this because of our struggle is still in effect, and people should know about it), we had to remain in the minority because we mobilized the most valuable elements of struggle and sacrifice on the forum and the entire naruto-fandom, which have always been not in the majority, but rather in the minority.

"I'd like to talk about the corruption of the admins of the Narutofan forums, which have already been soaked with the bacillus blood of the Uchiha, which stretches from the moderators to the admins at the top, however, this is not the time for it, nor is it, currently, important."

Because we were the best of the forum, we could in the proudest self-esteem claim the leadership of the NarutoFandom and the members. The members of the Path of Pain subordinated itself to this leadership in ever-growing numbers!

The Path of Pain members is happy in the knowledge that a constant changing vision has been replaced by a fixed pole in the ground, Nagatos will, which even Naruto cannot compete with.

There is always a part of the people who stand out as really active figthers and more is expected from them now. For them it is not a simply enough to make pledge "I believe in Nagato!" Rather the affirmation: "I fight for Nagato!" But, many have been removed, of the corrupted admins-uchihapigs.

The Path of Pain will in its teaching have been strong, and was the ultimately in its organization hard as steel, malleable in its tactics and adaptable in its entirety: Yet, it will always be a training school, like a holy order for the people.

It must be shown, however, that all upstanding Pain/Nagato supporters must become Path of Pain followers.

Once, our enemies, the Uchiha, worried us and persecuted us and from time to time removed the lesser elements from the "movement" for us(mostly via admins). Today we must examine ourselves and remove from our midst the elements that have become bad.

And therefore, do NOT belong with us!

It is our wish and will that the Path of Pain shall last forever. We can be happy to know that this future belongs entirely to us!

When the older ones among us falter the youth will stiffen and remain until their bodies decay. Only then, if we in the Path of Pain with our most obedient dedication become the highest embodiment of the Rikudou-Nagatofandom, then it will materialize into an eternal and indestructible pillar of the Path of Pain and the Nagato-Rikudou fandom.

Then our glorious and laudable army, the old, the proud, standard of our people who are equally tradition minded will be the champions of the Path of Pain and the fandom. Then we will educate the members of the Path of Pain and, therefore, strengthen and carry on their shoulders the Path of Pain & the Nagato-Rikudou fandom!

At this hour, many are leaving the Narutofan forum, and many have been removed, including me. While many of them relive our meetings in their memories, still other are already planning the next review.

And agian the people come and go and the will be engrossed anew and happy and inspired, for the idea and the Path of Pain live on in our people and with the movement as symbol for all eternity!

But still I see a lot of Nagato fans that still have doubt in their heart. Why? LOVE HIM! Because he loves you, so much!

What the did the Uchiha bacillus say when Nagato faced Konoha by himself? They laughed, saying that he wouldn't stand a chance. Yet, he invaded the strongest military force by himself!

What did they say about Deva vs Kakashi & Co?? They proclaimed Deva's defeated, before it had started. Yet, Pain won and killed of Kakashi.

What did they say Pain vs Naruto? He wouldn't stand a chance. Yet, Pain won.

What did they say about Pain vs Kyuubi? He would get crushed.

Our Holy Belief.
Now, look at them, they aren't laughing now. The prime plague carrier of the Uchiha blood, Madara, will be exterminated, Sasuke, will be exterminated, the history of Uchiha will be removed, we must not let them re-propagate, we must not let their blood further taint the narutoverse or the forums, we must no let them breed more hatred and war into the world, THIS IS OUR HOLY BELIEF! We've come this far, we're so close, the Uchihas have almost been totally whipped out, Konoha has been cleaned from this disease, and soon the world!

Be proud of the ultimate sacrifice of Nagato, have faith in Nagato, but above all have faith in the fact that he is a part of Rikudou, he will bring peace to the world, he will be the one that stands within the heavens!

We hold no argument with the Will of Fire, Yondaime & Konoha, they want what we want, the utter destruction of the Uchiha race.

Long live the Path of Pain! Long live Nagato! Long live Pain! Long live the sacred Rikudou!

May the Path of Pain & Nagato live forever, and may our future which lives in you be praised.
